The town watched as Dooku and Helius went back and forth in their arguments, but the town wasn't certain until Majora backed up Dooku's argument with a vote for Helius. As FAW submitted the twelfth and final vote, Helius' fate was sealed.

With a smug look on his face, Dooku kicked the chair out from underneath Helius. The Godfather was dead.

That's very interesting, time to go see if Jo Nathan made any observations that would make him a Mafia target.

For the record, Jo told me via PM that he was a townie last night. *Apparently* he tried to burn Hindenburg's house down to prove his innocence.

Odd that the host hasn't made note of it, though. Perhaps he was making the arsonist part up.

Ah, quite right. Power packs went last in the order of things.

Well, looking back there wasn't much.

Jo Nathan agreed with me, for the most part.

Jo Nathan was suspicious of MM9 at one point in Day 1.

Jo Nathan was a relatively early vote for Helius during Day 2, before it looked like he was going to be lynched.

On another note, do any of our power packs have results to reveal? A sensor result would be wonderful.

We have an excellent cushion right now--a 10-person lead means we won't be in a mislynch-or-lose scenario until day 7 at the latest, and that's assuming we lynch a Townie every single day. We've also got about 5 people that I'm tentatively considering innocent, though I think only Dooku is 100% confirmed (on that note, I don't think Hindenburg was the best target for Jo anyway since we already have at least some reason to think he might be innocent).

The question we need to answer now is what to do with that cushion. As I see it, we have two options: we can play aggressively, pushing for lynches in the hopes of getting lucky or gaining information, or we can take it slow and wait for info from the Commissioner. There's not a clear best choice; I don't really have anyone on my radar as of now, so playing aggressive for me would mean taking a complete shot in the dark right now, but we also have to remember that Innocent Commissioner verdicts aren't all that helpful since the Godsons could always have a Godfather power pack.

There's not a clear best choice; I don't really have anyone on my radar as of now, so playing aggressive for me would mean taking a complete shot in the dark right now, but we also have to remember that Innocent Commissioner verdicts aren't all that helpful since the Godsons could always have a Godfather power pack.

I have mixed feelings. If we play too aggressively, townies are likely going to die before we get results.

If we play conservatively and no kill, it gives our commissioner extra time to possibly get a guilty verdict. The issue here is that we could spend several days no killing (while the mafia pick us off) only to have the Commissioner killed before we get results.

I say we weigh our options day-by-day. Lynch if we have suspicion, like with Helius, but delay with a no kill if we don't have much.

Also, anyone with a sensor pack should send me a notification so I can announce that the town has one (and we can figure out who to lynch so we get results).

(on that note, I don't think Hindenburg was the best target for Jo anyway since we already have at least some reason to think he might be innocent).

I was... really very alarmed that he targeted Hindenburg. Especially when there was some possibility that Hindenburg was the Commissioner. I'd say we're fortunate it didn't play out as it could have.

Potion Pack – Gives the player the ability to save a person from death. The player will be notified at night by the Wizard of who will die the next morning but will not be told of how they would die, and will be given the choice of saving them rather than randomly guessing who to protect. This pack will only occur once during the game, and it has a very low probability of occurrence.

Please note us hosts agreed to the above change to the original pack details... originally only Mafia-based kills would have been reported but that makes the Potion pack, however rare, just too darn good.

Damn, my suspicions are off this game. I think it has to do with the fact that I have a recital fast approaching, and my sleep patterns have been worse than Xhin's lately. Anyhoo, either Kyon just gave himself away or he's just being himself and joking around. Either is equally likely at this point, though I'm far more inclined, obviously, toward the former.

That said, that Journalist article has narrowed down our Mafia search immensely.

By my understanding, all the townies aren't given power packs. We have 10 -possible- power packs, and during the night round a few are possibly handed out...

Plus the Mafia seemed to have potential. Assassin pack, janitor pack.

Dooku is correct. And when you take into account the inclusion of packs like Movie Goer and Outsider that don't actually benefit us, you are somewhat exaggerating the power of our packs. Only somewhat, though. I agree with the mafia's gripes to an extent.

I've been 3rd party. Gambler, Lover{fp}

But I've never see a game so much onesided.

So why drag it. The town can't lose. So get the most points you can get and let's play a real mafia game. Hell, even Dooku's Aliens was better than this and as a Alien I lost. But at least it was fun.

You guys can win this in 3 days. We won't be making anymore night kills unless we vote to off each other.

I actually thought the mafia had a decent enough chance to win this from the start. But Dooku's psychic powers eliminated the biggest role of all after two rounds and now Kyon and chief have turned themselves in for questioning after my intensive investigating (right guys). So, it kinda snowballed from "maybe the town having a power advantage" to "hello we are the mafia pleased to meet you" in a matter of one round.

My favorite game was prob Feral's game and Dooku's game was definitely interesting. Those are the only games I remember though. But, if we end the game early, maybe a restart or we could just keep playing, but it wouldn't be fair to the last Mafia that's standing.

Hmm... Yoshi seems to have visited Majora two nights(0 +1) in a row. Either he was incredibly lucky to have gotten two packs in a row or he has a permanent power. Majora seemed to have no strange effects in day 1 or 2, so whatever Yoshi did was unsucsessful both times.

Something else. By day 2, 4 packs had been given out. I have my potion and the confirmed innosent Dooku had his medkit. We have two claimed Journalists. We have two perma-powers with potential night action, one of whom(TheDragon) we know hasn't acted. If both journalists can be trusted, we have three individuals moving at night for unknown reasons: Yoshi, Hindenberg, and Lancer. I'm guessing that Lancer was the Journalist from Day 2. If Yoshi was the Cop, I can't imagine why he would visit the same person twice. At this point, I am asuming that me and Lancer recieved our packs on night 2, while Dooku got his on night one, along with the Journalist from today. Yoshi can NOT be that Journalist since he wouldn't report seeing himself, so today's Journalist must be Hinden.

Therfor, Yoshi has to be a Godson! Will put in my vote when I am on my laptop tonight.

I'm willing to bet Yoshi is lying to save his butt.

Three reasons Speed is innosent in my eyes-

1. Yoshi was seen at Majora's on night 0. Can't see why the journalist would lie.

2. Only one Mafia voted for a kill by the end of night 1, obviously Dooku's rival, Helius. Speed is notorious for his impatients and wouldn't have not voted.

3. Speed and Kyon are very close freinds. I can't see Kyon throwing in the towel and Speed not following suit.

Well, if by chance, Yoshi isn't lying, then the last Mafia is 100% White Lancer, the second individual named in what would have to have been a phony journalist report from last night. The only reason The Mafia would fake a Journalist report is to make one of their own seem innosent. Using both Yoshi and Majora's names would have been to add to the suspicion already on them.

This would mean that Speed(Outsider) and FAW(Spy)were gifted last night.

Perfect! Thanks, FAW, you just ended the game. Since we now know who all the packs from the first two nights went to(Dooku-medkit, FAW-Spy, Feral-Potion, Hindenberg-Journalist), we know for certain that the jounalist report claming to be from night 0 was indeed fake, making Lancer the 100% final Mafia.

Come to think of it, Chief did say that the executive host was unhappy with the packs, which I don't recall him saying in the mod forum thread.

First off, I didn't write this day thread, Roxas did - so even if the Assassin skills sets were used by Mafia, it would have been Roxas to overlook their usage. Secondly, the Assassin skill set is used just the way it always has been - you have to take a guess at the victim's role and no guesses were made, thus they weren't officially used. So essentially, Roxas not applying the powers was correct.

Firstly, you're making it seem like everybody gets a pack every night, when only four townies do. Second, this isn't the first time a game has had that wide of a margin. If there were a 5-13 or 6-12 ratio, the game would only last a few rounds.

Had 2 Assassin Packs last night. No kills from either one.

Yes, and the reason for the lack of kills from them were from user errors.

Well, fuck me for not having all of the mafia roles memorized. I assumed assassin was a mafia vigilante. Thanks for clearing it up AFTER the fact though. That's really goddamn helpful.

I know it sucks being a regular townie and all, but they're there for a reason. Trying to remove that suckage kills the game. Always. If you can't have fun just trying to guess who the mafia are (you know, actually playing the game), then don't play. We have never done a game with a zillion chances at power roles that wasn't complete shit.

Personally... I'd almost just rather have the hosts meet in their thread and call the game. If the mafia have really revealed themselves, we should just start over. Don't drag this out any longer than it has to be dragged.
