Basic Stuff

This update does quite a good bit, and should bring the fishing engine up to a full version.

  • Different rods do different things again based on the materials used to craft them.

  • There are however different types of rods -- cave fishing, crate fishing, etc. These are behind lab unlocks.

  • Fast fishing rods can be upgraded further so they can (optionally) hit multiple tiles at once in a magicsel fashion. This costs a bunch of resources ideally in the new Anvil.

  • Slow fishing rods are the only type that you can attach lures to, and you can upgrade the amount of lures in the new Anvil.

  • Lots of useful information in the fishing log is locked away behind lab unlocks.

  • The PGCS for fishing unlocks and upgrades largely pulls materials from fishing itself.

  • The initial fishing rod recipe has minned out values of all fishing rod properties, is called "Basic Fishing Rod", can't be crafted more than once, and has no special abilities. The ability to craft different rods based on the materials used comes with the fishing lab unlock.
