Mafia

Heh, I didn't figure you'd really change me off Mafia anyway (and I wouldn't really want you to--the randomization is a big part of the game).

I guess I'm just really one of those with no respect for the law--always gotta take things into my own hands. {:P} We'll see if lightning can strike twice with me as Vigilante, but I'm kinda expecting to go down early this game. Then again, who knows--we certainly have no shortage of targets this round!

...I wasn't planning on killing anyone in the first night, but now I'm very tempted to go for LLight. Not that I think he's Mafia, but I really don't want to have him turn this game into 'who was online at this time or that time' and 'who was refreshing the page.' It feels like half the Mafia might already be exposed just based on their reactions to LLight's accusations, and that's not how I feel the game should be played. Also, I think it's time for me to be refreshing pages. {:P}

Question for you, Thunder, only because I don't want it distracting players from the game: how would you feel about a rule disallowing this sort of information being used as evidence? I obviously can't stop anyone from using it privately, but any posting of it in the main thread or any other threads would be illegal and enforced. I'd also ask people not to use it for themselves, but that'd be on the honor system.

Yeah, it would definitely be instated next game if it was at all. I'll bring it up once I get to the dead thread and see what people think, but I'm leaning towards adopting it as an official rule.

It's going to be hard to un-see what LLight put out there, but it'll make me feel a little dirty to capitalize on that. He's probably right about most of the players, but I don't want that to be the basis of us catching the Mafia in the end. :-/

I've gone back and forth on this, but I do think it's time to end my streak of only hitting Guilty members by targeting LLight. I'll be very surprised if he turns up Guilty (not least because not a single person he 'targeted' denied being online at those times), but I'm already tired of the way he's playing the game and it's time for him to go.

This might wind up outing me as the Vigilante, of course. But whatever--I didn't expect to survive long anyway. And hey, I think there's a decent chance that a) LLight will be targeted by the Mafia anyway (thus preserving my streak) b) LLight will be targeted by the Doctor (it's who I'd guess the Mafia would kill) or c) the Mafia will target me instead.

Also, at least if I die there'll be someone taking the Vig role up for me. Although I'd rather they take the Cop role.

Dammit, LLight, why would you play so aggressively and make yourself such a target as one of the most important power roles in the game? I don't even know if I got you or the Mafia did, but the way you were playing, you were going to die early no matter what. Which was why I felt relatively safe targeting you--I didn't think an important power role would play in a manner that guarantees an early exit from the game.

-_-" Guess I shouldn't have expected LLight to take the sensible route when playing this game. I'm having flashbacks to the game where he was the Cop and got himself lynched because he refused to roleclaim.

Also, if I go down, people are going to think that I for sure didn't take the shot to get rid of LLight. Might be helpful, might be harmful. We'll have to see. {:P}

Heh. Will I have to take Yeano out during the night round again? He's seeming mighty suspicious to me all of a sudden...

Well, it was more "Assassin got FAW." I would be shocked if the Assassin got LLight. Especially since I would definitely have gotten him first. {:P}

Also, I can't believe I forgot about the Hooker when I was talking about the Cop revealing early. I'm just not dialed in this game.

I think it's more likely that Yeano is trying to get the assassin to use his power on Yeano, revealing the assassin's identity when it turns out Yeano was faking it. Him attempting to draw out he real cop would just confuse the doctors in my opinion.

If you suspected that was what Yeano was doing, WHY WOULD YOU SAY IT OUT LOUD!?!?!?!

Agh, here I've been trying to get the Assassin to hit Yeano for multiple reasons (wasting the Assassin kill, a potential test if he's Mafia, a potential Assassin miss), and Bubba goes and ruins it with that post above. -_-" It doesn't even make sense for a Mafia member to say that in the main thread--better to leave us confused when Yeano doesn't get hit.

Huh. Interesting (and favorable) result. I'll have to re-evaluate my view on a few of these players based on that.

I wish I had more time to devote to the game this time, because it's really interesting to me so far. Between work, moving, and the French Open, I've been severely distracted. However, two of those will be done with next week, so maybe I'll be able to get dialed in more. :) I'm okay with people being suspicious of me as well, since that theoretically should help keep the Mafia from killing me...though that hasn't exactly worked the way I wanted it to in the past.

I shan't be killing anyone tonight. I have suspicions, but I haven't been paying nearly enough attention this time around to be sure enough to take a shot.
