Game 24 Night 0 - And On That Train...

A group of travelers board a train once more, moving to yet another town. This was the fourth town in a single week they've traveled to, and they were hoping it would finally be their last.

But little did the group know that it may very well be the last... for some of them... Unbeknownst to them, an elite faction of killers had blended in with the group, and were getting ready to make this train ride take a detour to Hell...

The Power Roles:

Lazy Ninja - Can choose to make the mafia's kill undetectable by the Tracker. Can only use their power two times per game.

Lazy Janitor - Can choose to make a player who dies at night unidentifiable to the town--only the mafia will know the role of the person who died. Can only use their power once per game.

Mafia Investigator - Can choose a player each night. The Mafia Investigator will then learn the exact role of that person.

Ballot Forger - Each night, can pick one player to forge a vote for, and can decide who the vote will be for. The next day, regardless of who the player they picked votes for, it will secretly count as a vote for whoever the Ballot Forger picked. (ie, if the Ballot Forger decides to make MajorasMask9 vote for Frustro, even if MajorasMask9 votes for White Thunder the following day, it will count as a vote for Frustro.)

Oracle - Each night, the Oracle can pick one player. If the Oracle dies that night, the role of the person they picked will be publicly revealed to the town.

Tracker - Can choose a person to track each night. The tracker will find out who that player visited, if anyone.

Nurse - Similar to the Doctor, the Nurse can protect a player at night. However in doing so, they also roleblock said player.

Bad Break Billy - This unfortunate fellow just never gets a good break! Bad Break Billy doesn't have any actions, but similar to the Sleepwalker, he will leave his house at night. Bad Break Billy has the misfortune of always visiting the person who ends up dying! Aww man!!! Hopefully the Tracker wasn't looking...

Lovers - These two lovebirds have their own romantic Love Suite that they run off to in the midst of the night. They will know each other's identities and can romantically talk sweet game strategy together. However, if one of them dies, the other will be broken hearted... and will take their own life...

Replacement - A third party role. The Replacement does nothing for the first few rounds, but on Night 2, they must pick another living player to replace. The Replacement will kill that player and steal their role. The replacement cannot

Game-Specific Notes:

Out of Game Communication is allowed. This means it is acceptable to discuss the game with other players outside of the main thread, whether through the gtx0 notifications feature, instant messaging services, etc.

Night talk will be on. This means the threads won't be locked at night and you can discuss the game in the main thread.

If the Replacement replaces a person who will end up being mafia killed, the Replacement will still die.

The Janitor CAN hide the Replacement's kill if they manage to guess who will die somehow.

The Lovers will always appear to visit one another at night. ie, if Player 1 and Player 2 were the lovers, and the Tracker watched Player 1, the tracker would get the result of "Player 1 visited Player 2."

The Nurse will roleblock most roles, except for Bad Break Billy, the Lovers, and the Replacement. These roles will always appear to be visiting, regardless of whether they were roleblocked, and the Replacement will always have top priority.

Game 24 Day 1 - A Rude Awakening




"They were there when they went in the train, it left quite the impression"

Saturday, February 8th
8:30am

It was a Saturday morning. A small group of 17 travelers were on their way to find a new place to settle. The previous week had left them moving out from village to village, unable to find a place the group could call home. They left on a train to wherever it may bring them.

The train had several Cabins where each of the passengers could rest for the days and nights. There was an exquisite dining area that was very classy for a train. At the front of the train was the train's Engine Room, where the Conductor stayed, operating the train through the days and night.

MajorasMask9, a Staff Member on board the train, had been seen by some of the travelers the previous night. He had helped them get situated for the long train ride and offered assistance if anything further was necessary. However, the passengers were quick to notice that MajorasMask9 had noticeably less of a presence this morning.

One of the passengers awoke and left their cabin to check on things. They walked by the Love Suite and noticed a note pinned on the outside of the door:



Confused, the passenger continued to walk to the Dining Hall which felt eerily empty. That is, until they noticed MajorasMask9's dead body in the back. A short message was written and left on the body.

"There are four killers among you. There will be a death each night."

As the passenger returned, and more and more people began to discover the body, commotion and disorder ensued for the following hour until the passengers regained their composure. A few of them attempted to enter the Engine Room to contact the Conductor, but the room was locked and there was no response to their banging on the door.

It was just the 17 of them, alone on a train. Four among them were killers, but who? And just what would be done to stop this? That's when the discussions began...

Night 1

The passengers tried to seek a way out of their unfortunate situation. Four of the seventeen of them were killers, but everyone seemed so innocent. None gave the slightest impression of being a cold-blooded killer. And even if they had any leads, what would be done?

Tensions were high and names were thrown around. But in the end, the passengers weren't sure what to do. Some went back to their cabins, others went for a drink in the dining area. Most stayed in the halls sharing their theories with one another.

The day went on with nothing happening. Sunday morning drew closer, and the passengers expected the worst.

The passenger chuckled to himself and walked by to the next cabin to notice the door slightly ajar. He noticed the lights in the cabin were off. Who would leave the door to their room unlocked after such a threat was given the previous day?

The passenger took a look inside and let out a yell for assistance. "HELP! Someone's been stabbed! Is there a doctor on board?!" But there were no doctors on board this train. Not anymore anyway. The dead body belonged to white lancer, the Nurse.

Morning drew closer and the rest of the passengers began to wake up and learned of the most recent death that had occured. Some thought that it was definitely time to put an end to this, but what would be done?

Game 24 Night 2 - Vote To Kill

The death of white lancer surprised everyone. Many passengers stayed up the whole night talking, yet nobody seemed to have seen the elusive murderer make his kill.

The passengers knew that it was time to act. But what could be done? One passenger took stand and proposed an idea: hold a vote; whoever gets the most votes will be publicly killed. Their idea was that if they all had a say in who was killed, they would at least have a chance of killing the nightly murderers.

Some passengers were hesitant to go along with such an idea. It felt like some kind of twisted game. Hold a vote; whoever receives the most votes dies. To put their lives on the line based on a simple vote made everyone uneasy. But something had to be done, and there didn't seem to be any easy way out of their situation.

The passengers agreed. They discussed their thoughts and suspicions publicly. Suspects were pointed out and tensions were high, but at the end, they had settled on a vote.

They all entered the Dining Car. Names were written on folded slips of paper torn from one passengers notebook, and were placed in plain sight on a table. Once everyone's slips were on the table, they were unfolded and left on the table, reading off names one by one of the passengers wanted killed.

They continued to unfold the slips of paper until it was clear that one name had reached a clear majority. Hindenburg was to be killed.

Hindenburg's eyes opened wide. He didn't expect this at all! He tried to talk his way out of it, but it was no use. The passengers knew what had to be done. A knife was taken from one of the Dining Car's tables. Hindenburg struggled, knocking over a table and shattering a small vase, but in the end the passengers had overpowered him. It was a gruesome sight; many couldn't stand to watch.

But in the end a light of hope was seen for the innocent passengers, as it was discovered that Hindenburg was in fact the Lazy Janitor, one of the four killers.

Many passengers had already run out of the Dining Car in horror and disgust, but were at least relieved to find out that one of their killers was gone. Some stayed up to discuss the events, while others simply went to sleep. The night went on...

In the midst of the night, while the passengers were getting drowsy and nodding off to sleep, the end was beginning to draw near for some unsuspecting people...

Playful giggling could be heard from the Love Suite, and soon afterward one of the passengers walked out. "I'll be back sweetie~." The passenger was on their way to the Dining Car's bar.

The Dining Car was dark and empty. Everyone had left and returned to their cabins, doors locked. The passenger from the Love Suite walked slowly and cautiously to the bar.

She grabbed a couple of drinks to bring back to the Love Suite. She looked around the Dining Car and noticed the numerous vases with roses scattered across the many tables in the Dining Car. She took two roses from a vase and returned to the Suite with her lover.

"Did you miss me~" she said to her lover in an enticing voice. "Yeah" replied her lover. She walked over to him and placed the beverages on the table, not realizing her potentially fatal mistake--she forgot to lock the door to the Love Suite on her way in...

The lights were off. The two lovers were having a good time in their Love Suite together when all of the sudden... they heard the door creak open as light from the corridor slowly began to seep in... The dark silhouette of Black Yoshi stood before them, gazing at the two of them.

"Oh, this isn't the bathroom. My bad." Black Yoshi apologized for interrupting and walked off to seek out a restroom.

The two lovers were startled. Apollo Justice, one of the Lovers, got up to lock the door. It was as she was going toward the slightly opened door...

A sword suddenly pierced through the door and tore its way straight through Apollo Justice. The other Lover, hezekiah, looked in utter horror. "APOLLO NO!!!" The door slowly creaked open as Apollo tried to move back to her lover, the sword still pierced through both her and the door. A dark, evil silhouette was seen as the door opened. Hezekiah recognized him instantly. It was Redack, the Lazy Ninja. Redack, startled that he had been seen, ran off. Hezekiah grew angry... he wanted revenge... but he was more concerned for his Lover, Apollo. He turned to her. She had fallen to the floor off of the sword's blade. He would have called for a doctor, but the only medical expert on board the train had already met their end.

"It's... ok... hezekiah..." Apollo said to him, struggling with each word, desperately trying to convey a final message to her beloved. "I won't die... You see, I can't die... I'll... live on in your heart...

The tears... you'll cry... The tears for your lost love... The pain you'll feel... It will be from me, inside your heart... pounding against it trying to reach out to you once more and tell you how much I love you... So I'm sorry for the heartache... but I'll always be there with... y..o..u......"

Apollo Justice went silent. A single tear rolled down hezekiah's face. Hezekiah was outraged... he knew he wanted revenge...

He rushed out into the hallway and roared "REDACK!!!!!" He saw Redack run into one of the cabins. Hezekiah ran after Redack, following him into the cabin. He turned the lights on... but something was strange. There was no one in the room. Across the room a large window was opened. Had Redack jumped out? And if so, was it intentional, or was something even shadier going on? Hezekiah looked outside the window and noticed the large cliff the tracks were positioned on. Nobody could have survived a fall like that...



Morning came, and the passengers began searching for Redack. They went through each and every open room of the train, but to no avail. Redack had vanished. Was someone else responsible for this? Or was it merely a freak accident?

Hezekiah locked himself in the Love Suite. He noticed a letter in a typewriter on the desk that was written by Apollo the night before her death.



Hezekiah cried. His heart aching from the events that unfolded. He knew his Lover would want him to go on... but... he couldn't live with the burden. He couldn't live with the pain of losing the love of his life. He couldn't live with the burden of never being able to avenge his Lover's death.

Hezekiah walked over to the roses his lover had brought back the night before. He took one and placed it in her hand, above her chest. He grabbed the sword that was now laying on the floor in the corner of the room. He took the other rose, laid down beside his love, clenched her hand, and took his own life, right beside her. A tragic end to the story of the Lovers.

The passengers later found the bodies and decided to leave them there. They locked the door to the Love Suite and moved on.

The passengers gathered to discuss the events and decide on a new course of action for eliminating this horrible threat...

Night 0

A train was getting ready to depart early in the morning. Seventeen passengers were expected to be on board, as well as the few Staff Members that helped maintain order on the train. One of the Staff Members, MajorasMask9, was responsible for assisting passengers during the trip. MajorasMask9 stood outside the train assisting the passengers as they boarded the train individually.

Apollo Justice, the Lover, was carrying four heavy bags of luggage, while her other lover, hezekiah, walked onto the train to the Love Suite.

"Can I help you with those bags?" MajorasMask9 said to Apollo.

Apollo looked up at Majora, and she became overwhelmed with... very strong feelings... Her heart pounded wildly, as everything became crystal clear to her: This man was a member of the mafia.

Not ready to show her hand just yet, she agreed to let Majora help carry her luggage to the Love Suite. When they got there, hezekiah was nowhere in sight. A note was written on the table "Heading to the Dining Car to watch football on their TV, go to bed without me."

Apollo, noticing she was alone in the Love Suite with Majora, slammed the door and locked it shut. "Die mafia."

She grabbed some rope out of her bag and wrapped it around Majora's neck. Majora struggled, but Apollo managed to keep him at bay. She wrapped the end of the rope around a bar on the ceiling and yanked Majora with all her strength. Majora, the Assassin was lynched.

"What happened to the rest?"

Despite the dire situation of everyone on board the train, things were beginning to look up. Half of the killers on board the train were eliminated due to the passenger's daily voting. Three full days had gone by since they boarded the train. It wasn't much longer until the train met its destination.

But regardless of how well off things currently seemed, things were not all good, and the killings continued.

Late in the night, one of the passengers headed off to the Dining Car's bar, sick and frustrated of the rest of the passengers. He was a person of suspicion, people called him a killer even though he was innocent. What was the point in reasoning with these people? He decided to have a nice long drink to himself to make his problems go away.

He walked into the Dining Car. The lights in the Dining Car had stopped working for some time now, making it pitch-dark at night when there was no sunlight coming through the windows. He walked to the back of the Dining Car cautiously...

The passenger froze. He had only taken two steps forward... but he heard a third...

He turned around to see a dark silhouette standing at the door leading to the main corridor. It was Speed Bike Pro.

"Oh, gosh dang it, this isn't the laundry room..." He walked away in disappointment.

The passenger turned around and continued making his way to the bar area in the Dining Car. He slowly walked forward to where he knew the bar was, when suddenly he ran into someone... Who was this?

"Oh... so this isn't the laundry room? Too bad, because your clothes are about to be stained... with blood..."

The passenger, chiefsonny the Townie, tried to make a run for the corridor but it was too late. A series of knife stabs found chiefsonny dead on the floor... victim to an unknown assailant.

The rest of the passengers found the body in the morning, and in a manner that had become almost routine to them, had moved on and decided to go straight to the voting.

In what felt like a routine procedure, the passengers gathered into the Dining Car. They talked events out and tried to deduce who was a killer and who was not. With only two remaining, and them having a perfect record for voting for the actual murderers, spirits were understandably higher than they were the first day. Egos became over inflated as the passengers became more and more sure of themselves.

Today, the passengers were dead set on voting for Bubba. Bubba caught wind of this and started to panic. He had to think of something... what could he do to get out of this and live on?

The votes were in. The passengers cautiously began to unfold the slips of paper with votes on them.

Something was clearly amiss. "I voted for Bubba!" one passenger shouted, as well as many others. The jig was up, he had forged one too many ballots to where it became overly obvious who really had the majority vote, and who was to be killed. It was Bubba, the Ballot Forger.

Bubba was grabbed and brought back to one of the empty cabins, where he was executed.

One final killer remained. The passengers, not exactly relieved, but aware of the fact. The entire train ride had clearly taken its toll on them, in more ways than one. The day went on and night returned once more...

The initial four killers were gone. The very people that initiated the threat--the ones who put the lives of themselves and others on the line--were no longer alive. All that was left was one. One person, originally unaffiliated with the four. Someone who had no connection with any of them the that day they boarded the train, but had turned against the rest of the passengers. Had they done a good enough job blending in? Would the days of not working with the killers prove to be an advantage to this mysterious person?

The passengers awoke and began to reconvene in the Dining Car. It wouldn't be long before their journey came to an end, but they knew they had to continue voting if they wanted to live.

One passenger, Shadowwalked, was having a difficult time in his cabin, rushing to get ready for the daily vote. First, he put his shirt on inside out without realizing it, so he had to adjust it. Then, he put his shoes on the wrong feet. Ugh... what else could go wrong today...

He went to the bathroom to brush his teeth... but there was no toothpaste left in the tube. Gosh flipping darn it! He turned around to leave, but the bathroom door was stuck closed. "Sigh... what bad breaks I'm having... !" Shadowwalked said to himself, a laugh track playing in the distance.

"Wait... where is that laugh track coming from?"

Shadowwalked looked around, when suddenly the lights in the bathroom and cabin went out...

"The only thing breaking today... are your bones..."

...



After about an hour, everyone had arrived in the Dining Car... Except for Shadowwalked... It didn't take long for the passengers to look for him in his cabin. It was there that they found the body of... Bad Break Billy.

But who killed him?

There were eight passengers left. They decided to, once again, hold a vote.

The passengers wasted no time this day... They hurried to the voting right off the bat, and votes were in with little discussion.

"N-now wait a second... this isn't fair!" Jo Nathan said. He realized the votes were going to be against him this round. Was there really anything he could do to get out of this mess?

The slips of paper were opened and read.

It was a clear decision. The town, growing impatient, wasted no time in killing the last member of the Mafia.

"It's over..." "The killers are gone!"

The passengers celebrated, knowing that they had just killed the last Mafia member.

Six o' clock on the dot. A bell rang through the train. The morning

bell, which the passengers had barely even paid any mind to until

recently. After a couple of days, things became almost routine to

them--they had adapted to this new hellish life. However, with the death

of the original killers, most passengers had become completely engrossed

by the new mystery thrust upon them: who was the unexpected final one?

Some couldn't sleep, but they all woke promptly at 6 to begin the a new

day of discussion.


Everyone left their cabins and walked to the Dining Car. They expected

to find one person missing, but no one was missing this time.

The body of Pirate_Ninja was lying in plain sight at the usual table

they used for reading votes. It was done intentionally, almost as if to

say... "Ha! I'm in plain sight and you can't catch me! Whatchya gonna do

about it?!"

"Suddenly, they went dead silent, as darkness filled the train."

The morning bell sounded one more time. Today was February 14th. Exactly one week had passed since the 17 passengers boarded the train, on that dreaded 7th of February.

They had left the previous night with five people alive, and they knew that when they woke up, they would be one short. "Who was it this time?"

The passengers gathered to the Dining Car and noticed that the one person to not show up was Count Dooku. Not even bothering to waste any time looking for they body, they knew he was a Townie.

Four remained.

Three were innocent and one was a killer. The killer had gone undetected long enough. Would they survive this final day and be the last one standing, or will the passengers figure out who they are, and survive the rest of the train ride?

The passengers unfolded the four slips of paper that were placed on the Dining Car's table. They knew this was their final vote. If they misvoted, it would mean the end for all three of the innocent passengers.

Lady Flare was the final person voted to be killed.

"Wait!" she said in mild desperation.

Lady Flare confessed to them. She was the Replacement Lazy Ninja.

Silence filled the Dining Car. Until Speed Bike Pro, the Townie, stepped up and spoke to her. "Why did you do this? Why did it have to end with all of this death..."

Lady Flare explained to the three how she had accidentally killed Redack as he went into hiding, bumping into him and knocking him out of an opened window. She heard running and a loud yell in the hall, and hid in her room. When hezekiah came in, she was already out of sight. Later, the remaining mafia had contacted her in private, forcing her into a life as a mafia...

"I'm... sorry... I didn't want all of this death... but I had to... If there's... any way I could make up for it... I'd just like to... honor their deaths... This never should have happened"




Lady Flare took one of the many roses from around the Dining Car's tables, walked toward the dead body of Pirate_Ninja, which was now off to the side of the room, and placed it over him.

"It won't bring them back... and it won't make up for what I've done... but I hope this rose can serve as a reminder of my sorrow for committing such an atrocity to these innocent people..."

And before anyone could intervene, Lady Flare quickly pulled out a cyanide pill from her pocket it and threw it in her mouth.

"No!" Feral, the Townie, shouted. But it was too late.

It was over. There would be no more deaths. No more killings.

Speed Bike Pro, Castrael, and Feral looked back and forth at each other, and the two dead bodies in the room, wondering what to do. They took a rose from one of the tables and placed it next to Lady Flare. The three of them decided what they would do next, and started gathering roses, and headed off to the cabins with the rest of the lost passengers...



It was two hours later that things came to a halt. Darkness filled the train. The train felt as if it was decelerating to a stop. Castael, the Townie, tried to get a better look by looking out through the window. It was hard to see, but it looked like the train had pulled into a massive tunnel. Why had the train stopped in such an odd place? Surely, this wasn't their destination.

The doors exiting the train opened.

They walked outside, finding themselves in a large tunnel that extended further than they could really see. Along the wall was a tunnel that looked like an entrance of some sort. They walked through the tunnel.

On the other end was a magnificent scene. Bright grass, blooming flowers, waterfalls and streams, all together making a beautiful spot of land between the mountains. No one was there, besides the harmless wildlife that roamed.

They looked at the land in front of them in awe. It was beautiful. It was then that they decided: they would stay here, build new houses, make a new village. This would be their new home. Theirs. They would work together to make a new place for all of them, in memory of the ten lost in the murderous train ride. They would name it, the Town of Lostroses...

The Town Frustroville

The train pulled up to its destination, people waiting to greet their friends and family. It had departed one week ago and was scheduled to arrive today. Quite the long journey, and the villagers were excited to meet their loved ones whom they had not seen in many months.

The train stood motionless. Nothing changed. No one came out. "Where were they?" they wondered. Puzzled, some villagers decided to open the door and look inside. A couple of villagers went inside, and before taking a few steps in, turned around holding a rose that was picked up off the floor.

The two went inside and found roses spread evenly across the floor. Not too many, but enough to be noticed. They were there when they went in the train, it left quite the impression.

The villagers looked through the cabins. They opened one door to find the body of a nurse. There were clear signs of a struggle, and obviously, the end result was itself gruesome. However, there was a rose placed on the body. There were two in the room with the notes pinned on the door, lying next to one another. Two roses in their hands. For every body that was found, a rose accompanied it.

After identifying the bodies, the villagers realized that a few of them were missing. What happened to the rest? "Where were they?" they wondered.

Days passed and weeks passed, months and years. The town of Lostroses began to devlop into a fine place to live. Houses were constructed for the three, and they had plenty of resources to live their new lives. A memorial area for the ten passengers of the train was constructed. Every February 8th, they would bring 17 roses to the site, in remembrance of the 17 passengers who began their journey on that fateful day...
