Welcome, to the elite killers of the Mafia! There's quite a few of you... so here are everyone's names and roles:

Hindenburg - Lazy Janitor
Redack - Lazy Ninja
Black Yoshi - Mafia Investigator
Bubba - Ballot Forger

Your abilities are the same as listed in the mafia roles document, and are also listed with details in the Night 0 thread. Hindenburg can only use his action once per game, and Redack can only use his action twice, so use them wisely!

For Night 0, the Mafia Investigator and Ballot Forget can use their actions. Keep in mind that the Tracker will also be using their actions too!

Wow, what a team. I have a feeling we may actually have a chance...

That said, I feel like it's best we shoot for the Tracker and Replacement first; with these out of the way, assuming that we get them out of the way quickly, we should be fairly in the clear. I still remember when I was Fisherman way back in Xhin's game, and I fished out that GPS Tracker and basically ended the game with one stroke of my Tracker ability. This time we have someone who can use that ability every night; eventually s/he'll catch us in action. But simply killing the Tracker will do no good if the Replacement is simply going to...ahem...replace him/her. Thus, I think it'll serve us well to take both of them out as soon as we can.

As for my night action...I think I'll look into white lancer tonight; he's usually a really good player, and therefore would be a huge asset to the town in figuring us out. If he's the Watcher or Replacement, we're in trouble.

For clarification, the Replacement can only replace a living role. So if you were to kill the Tracker before Night 2, the Replacement would not be able to take over that role :).

Has Ballot forging been used in the past? Seems like a powerful role that you'll have to be careful with. Mafia definitely doesn't want to get caught in a close vote situation if we're targeting a certain player.

I am playing under the assumption that they WILL replace someone on Night 2 atm. Assuming they at least put in the effort to make an action, their kill has top priority and will go through regardless of the Nurse's action.

If they don't put in an action I would probably host-kill them... But I really don't think this will be a problem :). We don't have any users playing that are known for inactivity.

Ballot Forger was used a few rounds of Game 14, but we had only twelve of us playing so it was switched out for the Hooker. Probably not going to happen this game, though, with more people playing.

@Majora: Just wondering, mayhap you covered this in the main thread, maybe not, but if the Replacement were to replace a role which has already used up its power, will the Replacement have that role's power again? For example, if the Replacement took over for Hindenburg here and Hindy had already used his Janitor power, would the Replacement still be able to use that power?

In the case of the lazy roles... I didn't think of that. It would make sense to say yes but I want to say no, and I'll clarify this after the Replacement takes over for someone. The reason the roles were "Lazy" in the first place was to balance things so giving a possible 4 Ninja uses, for example, could get a bit broken :).

Lancer dies tonight.

Hindenburg's power is interesting. I dismissed the idea of using it so early initially, but hiding the nurse does offer the best advantages versus the other townie roles.

I'll pass on ballot forging tonight. As much as I want to test it out, there is potential for backfire with it at this point.

Should I hide his corpse, then? Because my line of thinking is that 1. I'm liable to die like a bitch at any given moment and therefore not use my power at all and 2. Nurse seems like the best role to hide, since the rest of them kinda suck anyway.

I so wanted to kill Hezekiah (because I did last game too) but since we know lancer's role it seems like a good first choice. If we can get him it removes that role for good.

I support hiding the body. It'll get them questioning if we killed a power role, may also cause them to loop around and think we killed a townie and hid the body to make it look like a power role... It'll also keep them building plans around the nurse being alive.

Also since these rounds end at times when I am usually sleeping. I will use my power IF the other guys decide they want it using, otherwise I won't use it. Got that Majora, only do it if they want it!

The issue is, as has been pointed out in the main thread, I usually do have a lot to say and at least someone I am accusing by this point. If they did end up going along with whoever I accuse it'd be more advantageous (to me, and then if I survive then the entire team) if that person could be a mafia.

Well, that is something. When I endorsed the idea of taking one of us down, I didn't think you'd do it this round, where we were looking like we'd ease by with a townie being lynched. Will certainily be effective however.

Yes I know but I wanted to get Apollo off my back. She's far to persistent in these games and killing the janitor (who we're unlikely to find a good use for) is likely to do that plus buy me some good favour with everyone else.

Ultimately I hope it pays off because I do feel bad about sacrificing someone like this :(

If you ask me, Apollo is the one who needs to die tonight. As Redack said, she can be incredibly persistent and persuasive, and once she locks on to one of us, we may as well start digging our graves. That, and I feel that next to Lancer, Apollo is easily the most influential player in this game.

We could use the Feral vote as fodder. 5 votes for him with a few hours left, with a confirmed mafia among them, should entice some players to vote that way. By killing Apollo and confirming her townie, someone who voted for Feral, only increases the chances that mafia was among the remaining three who had cast a Feral vote. (Bandit, P_N, Lady Flare)

Bandit jumped to Hindenburg pretty quickly, making him looking like mafia unlikely. P_N and Lady Flare stayed on Feral. With two players (Bandit and Dooku) already voicing suspicion over P_N in the last round, he may be worth targeting. Worth using a ballot forge? Offer suggestions, still seems like a risky tool to use unless you're pretty sure of an outcome.

If I were you, I'd be tempted to forge the ballot right about now; more specifically, I'd be tempted to use it on one of us, if not tonight-round, then soon, so as to make whomever you use it on look innocent -- why would the Mafia use their power on themselves?

We can only speculate what they will do now unless we intentionally lead them against townies... But that comes at the risk of looking like mafia. If we're going to use the ballot forger then Feral, Castrael or ON are good choices, but the town may make new accusations based on our mafia kill or the town lynch from day 2.

I don't like the odds here. Sorry. In my analysis of the players I had you both at the bottom of my list as very suspicious. And I'd have been willing to vote for either of you. I wish Moonray wasn't the one to put himself out there like that. I admit I was going for a Town role and I know Moonray's track record for dying early on is very high. Especially if he's on to Mafia. I was sort of hoping to replace the mafia night kill. Although in your favour, my close second was Apollo in which case your Mafia kill wouldn't have been successful and hez would still be alive. And I think Moonray would be looking suspicous in a round or 2 because he was still alive and not night killed.

And on top of all of this, I will probably get myself killed. I certainly won't try to but I didn't vote for Hindy and I can't think of anything to say in the main thread that isn't suspicious. Drat.

Seriously, at this rate I'll go down long before you; once the Town turns on me, that's it, game over, hasta la vista baby. Unless I can pull off what my mind has been planning since at least last summer: the first time Castrael played, she was Mafia, and in her dying breath she basically outed her entire team (of which I was part) in an attempt to turn suspicion off of herself. That was around Game 15 or so; the entire time, my mind was reeling with the idea that mayhap she should have thrown out names that weren't ours, and that's my idea now. If I find myself on the chopping block, I may (or may not) find a way to admit that, say, Feral and Shadowwalked are Mafia and the only way I could have known that is because I'm Mafia. Then again, it would take someone with ten times my skills to pull that off...

I didn't investigate anyone on Night 1, actually; forgot about it in all the white lancer is the nurse hullabaloo.

And how is it a stupid move if I'm incriminating players who aren't even Mafia? What Cas did was say, "I've always been suspicious of Black Yoshi...and [I've forgotten who the rest of the Mafia were in that game]"; what I would do is say something to the effect of, "In my dying breath I have a confession to make. I'd like you to know that Shadowwalked is Mafia, and the only way I know that is because I'm Mafia." Of course, I'd only do that when my death by lynching was all but inevitable. And mayhap it would be better to do this in a game where Night Talk is off, so that the Town can't use the Night round aftermath to figure out the truth.

And, worryingly, I haven't heard from Bubba since last night-round (IRL yesterday morning)...

He would have visited Apollo when she died. But I still don't see it working out very well. I don't think it woould fool Speed. And I can't offer any strategy right now. I hope Bubba comes by soon.

Of course I wouldn't out Lady Flare; I'd do something along the lines of what Redack did way back in Game IX, when he had the whole town turned against #85 (Cop) yet no one dared lynch him for fear of undue mislynching (and because he'd provided proven results). I'd say something to the effect of, "I didn't really care for my Mafia team, anyway; with Redack gone, all hell's broken loose in the Mafia thread and Shadowwalked (or someone else) is the one who started it. Ever since the Replacement came along (Shadow)'s been trying to get them to go along with his master plan, which both myself and the Replacement thought was complete idiocy...and I happen to know that the only reason he claimed Bad Break Billy was that he knew the role was pointless and he wanted to appear innocent." Something like that.

Of course, if you guys think it unwise, I won't go there.

Not Cas. You've been pushing for her and it would look odd for you to go out and name her as Mafia.

I don't think Speed. either. He's been against you since last day round. Unless you can play on that animosity. Although, I think Speed is a team player and wouldn't screw his team like that. The Mafia have already thrown one member under the bus.

What about chiefsonny? He's been quiet this game and hasn't really offered up an excuse. He was on my unsure list. And he said he didn't like his role. I'm thinking he's Townie or maybe Oracle. That can't be a particularly good role because you have to die to use it.

And maybe Pirate_Ninja. I'm always suspicious of him. Although he may talk out of gam. But again he hasn't said too much. Just a little here and there. And he jumped on to Feral without much evidence.

But I don't know how these people play all that well. I'm still a little new to this. Would what you are preposing be out of character for them?

Hmm, Speed said he wants to go for chief next. I wonder if he's serious.

So if we kill Speed, will it look like the Mafia (chief included) is trying to stop evidence coming against him. Or how will it look if we kill someone else and hope Speed will still lead a lynch against chief. (That came out jumbled I know.)

I think either way I should use my power tonight. Who knows, I may not be here tomorrow or the next day. Better use them and worry later than die and not use them at all. And if the Tracker guesses Speed isn't Mafia he would be a likely target for us.

Hmm, killing chief would mess with the Town. But the list of possible guilty is getting shorter. That's why I put my vote for Yoshi in so early. Right after he said he was most likely going to die anyway.

Speed's vocalness is a liability. Castrael isn't hard to swing though. I've contacted her OOG and swung her vote without proof of my claim once. We could try it again. Heck, I think if you were to compliment her in the thread she would warm up to you and vote whichever way you do. As Chief just pointed out in the night chat, she is a follower.

I had a strong feeling no one would buy Yoshi's last attempt to sell out his Mafia buddies. That's why I wanted him to out me. Although, if it was my name he gave, people might have bought it (they may have queued up for it, in fact). Who knows.

Which I assume that means if you're found guilty I won't be found a suspect. Maybe? Regardless, looks like it's swung back to me now. At least with my vote getting in early if I do get the axe, you'll look less suspicious.

My early vote should keep some suspicion off you for the next round. The Chief kill definitely added confusion. It's risky with PN still being alive, but you could try something equally weird next round, like killing Shadow. It would have them second guessing themselves for sure.

Killing Shadow keeps all of the active players in the game. That way they keep pointing the fingers at each other. Basically makes a big mess.

By not killing PN, it's going to add confusion as well. I wonder if it will put some doubt into people's minds. Like maybe we checked him previously and he isn't the Tracker. Or he false claimed and he is Mafia.
