game 24 night 5 the end

Posted February 5, 2014 by MajorasMask9

"Where were they?" they wondered.

Tuesday, February 11th
6:25am

Hindenburg, Redack, Black Yoshi, Bubba

The initial four killers were gone. The very people that initiated the threat--the ones who put the lives of themselves and others on the line--were no longer alive. All that was left was one. One person, originally unaffiliated with the four. Someone who had no connection with any of them the that day they boarded the train, but had turned against the rest of the passengers. Had they done a good enough job blending in? Would the days of not working with the killers prove to be an advantage to this mysterious person?

The passengers awoke and began to reconvene in the Dining Car. It wouldn't be long before their journey came to an end, but they knew they had to continue voting if they wanted to live.

One passenger, Shadowwalked, was having a difficult time in his cabin, rushing to get ready for the daily vote. First, he put his shirt on inside out without realizing it, so he had to adjust it. Then, he put his shoes on the wrong feet. Ugh... what else could go wrong today...

He went to the bathroom to brush his teeth... but there was no toothpaste left in the tube. Gosh flipping darn it! He turned around to leave, but the bathroom door was stuck closed. "Sigh... what bad breaks I'm having... !" Shadowwalked said to himself, a laugh track playing in the distance.

"Wait... where is that laugh track coming from?"

Shadowwalked looked around, when suddenly the lights in the bathroom and cabin went out...

"The only thing breaking today... are your bones..."

...

After about an hour, everyone had arrived in the Dining Car... Except for Shadowwalked... It didn't take long for the passengers to look for him in his cabin. It was there that they found the body of... Bad Break Billy.

But who killed him?

There were eight passengers left. They decided to, once again, hold a vote.

It still exists, it was just unstickied as well as uncemented so that it was pushed straight to the second page.

All right. The town has an overwhelming majority, and with the Mafia down to just one member, they have no teamwork advantage. Before any more townies die, this is the time when everyone should speak up and voice their suspicions.

Let's take a look at our remaining players:

  • Count Dooku
  • Pirate_Ninja
  • Feral
  • Jo Nathan
  • Lady Flare
  • The Bandit
  • Castrael
  • Speed Bike Pro

I'm weary of Dooku because the way he and Bubba went after each other could be indicative of that trademark Mafias-going-after-each-other-to-fool-us strategy we see all too often. That, and he hadn't particularly been acting like his usual townie self.

Pirate and Feral are supposedly the power roles, and with no counterclaims thus far, there's no reason to dispute it.

I'm skipping over myself because, well, Speed already has me covered.

Lady Flare... nothing overly suspicious about there. And that's what scares me.

The Bandit - I could see him being Mafia, but I'm leaning toward innocent.

Castrael - I can believe that Bubba went to great lengths to convince her he was innocent, which would explain her behavior. How Bubba told us to trust her, though, right before he died... kinda weird. I dunno. I'm on the fence here, but I'm tipping toward believing she's innocent.

Speed - I don't know why, but in earlier rounds I was picking up a slight non-Townie vibe from you. For the most part, though, you're acing normal, so I don't know what to make of it.

I thought Pirate_Ninja was going to be next.

I'm guessing the Replacement Ninja'd their kill so that they could afford to leave the Tracker up while they went after someone else. Even if PN happened to hit our last mafia, he wouldn't have gotten any results for it. Oh well.

Id like to add by own personal opinions without being silly and anyone getting into my head. So....

    Ahem.

    People Still Living

    Dooku
    Pirate Ninja
    Jo Nathan
    Feral
    Lady Flare
    The Bandit
    Speed Bike Pro

    My Reasons
  • Dooku: Not quilty. I only wanted to kill him because well you know the reason. But, it'd just be a waste of a kill. I'm also not really getting that vibe unless he's hiding it very well. But, other than that, he's just a Townie.

  • Pirate Ninja: Not guilty. I do believe he is innocent and one of the Power Roles. I think it was the Tracker, right?

  • Feral: Not guilty. Didn't he claim Oracle?

  • Jo Nathan: Semi-Guilty. I am getting a vibe that he was the Replacement. With Speed's analysis, I do believe with his share of points early in the night round, but he has been wrong before. Something to look into.

  • Lady Flare: Not guilty. But, has been very careful and quiet. (I hope you're doing well!)

  • The Bandit: Not guilty.

  • Speedy Bikes: Semi-Guilty: I am leaning more towards Nathan, but if it's a mislynch, I'd vote for Speed next round. I'm just getting mixed signals about him. Maybe I'm over thinking it but I don't know!

While these are just guesses, I'd like your thoughts and opinions. I had to make it colorful too. <3

You're basically saying that I am your #2 behind Jo Nathan while also completely passing off people like Bandit, Dooku, and Lady Flare. I'm just a little befuddled as to why you're absolutely convinced of their innocence.

Doesn't mean much and is probably obvious but my final 4 are Bandit/Lady Flare/Jo Nathan/Dooku. Two are mafia and two shall die.

    -Speed

You should go after them in that order, too. Here's to hoping we'll have killed the last two before you get to me.

The Bandit - I could see him being Mafia, but I'm leaning toward innocent.

    -Jo Nathan

Am I missing something? I thought I was the one you wanted to kill first, Jo.

    February 5, 2014
    The Bandit

Oh Bandit... I realize my attempt at humor was poor, but still, I would have thought it was obvious that was a joke. Speed put me in his line-up, so I said something to make light of the situation. You may have noticed I occasionally like to say things tongue-in-cheek during these games.

Evidently I'm quite the cutthroat bastard as Mafia. Voted Hindenburg off the island, voted Bubba off the island... all to convince you of my innocence.

    February 5, 2014
    Count Dooku

Since the last mafia is the Replacement, Hidenburg would have been before the Replacement knew they were teammates, so that's not evidence of anything.

    February 5, 2014
    The Bandit

I think Bandit has a good point. The Replacement was a late comer to the Mafia. They may have been rooting for the Town up until Day 3. And Since Moonray's "gut feeling" about Hindenburg was a way to make him (Moonray) look innocnt, perhaps the Replacement thought that by replacing him they were joining the Town.

    February 5, 2014
    Lady Flare

Replacement thought that by replacing him they were joining the Town.
    ^I can agree with this.

^If Apollo is confident that you're not Mafia and since I trust her this game (not that I don't trust you, ilu!! :P), I want to trust you too. So, not guilty.

Right now, I'm leaning more towards Jo Nathan

    Day 4
    What did you have covered?

In all fairness, unless I'm failing to remember, only 2 or 3 people this game have claimed townie. And just because Jo didn't say "I can't be guilty, I'm a townie!" doesn't mean anything to me. I haven't claimed anything either. In fact, I very rarely do because I'm opposed to role claims no matter what I am unless they come with good reason, like a Cop revealing results or something. Otherwise, I feel like they take away from the game. Besides, there are still 5 townies left so you're not gonna get very far if you try to narrow down the last mafia by sorting townie claims.

Well, no one else picked up on Bandit's little goof. In one of his earlier replies today, he mistakenly said that there were two Mafia left, when only one lives. That is a mistake the replacement wouldn't make. Bandit accidentally prooved himself innocent.

We have room for a mislynch here, so can't hurt to bandwagon here.

The passengers wasted no time this day... They hurried to the voting right off the bat, and votes were in with little discussion.

"N-now wait a second... this isn't fair!" Jo Nathan said. He realized the votes were going to be against him this round. Was there really anything he could do to get out of this mess?

The slips of paper were opened and read.

It was a clear decision. The town, growing impatient, wasted no time in killing the last member of the Mafia.

"It's over..." "The killers are gone!"

The passengers celebrated, knowing that they had just killed the last Mafia member.

Or so they though... For a quick inspection of Jo Nathan's room revealed that he was...

It seems it wasn't the end after all... Far from it...

I think I mentioned these theories back when Redack was killed but whatever I'll say them again. I can see a reason for both Dooku and Speed as the Replacement killing Redack.

Dooku is friends with Redack. Dooku might have mentioned his role to Redack during their Borderlands 2 session. Redack fucks up in killing Hidenburg, or just decides hosting Adventure and playing mafia is too much, and asks Dooku to just kill him so the mafia doesn't lose a member.

Speed has only been mafia in these games once to my knowledge, and he has expressed unease with being on that team "it's too much pressure, etc." He might have been convinced that Redack was the most innocent, and he accidentally wound up on the mafia team anyway.

Castrael might have targeted Redack just for shits I guess. I have no idea why Flare might target him.

We're not in that bad of shape because I think the mafia is pretty much forced to kill Feral soon. We're all pretty fucking guilty looking IMO (even knowing I'm a townie I can see myself as having acted suspicious in previous rounds) so killing anyone other than the power roles is maybe not the best move. So, Feral should tell us who he's going to pick tonight and tomorrow so, in case he dies and nothing shows up in the OP, we'll know that dude's innocent.

So, yeah. Somewhat bleak looking but I think we'll be fine.

    February 6, 2014

Or I guess we always know the person's role when the Oracle is killed? I don't remember too lazy to check. Whatever, the point still stands. Either he kills Feral and we find someone's innocent or he kills a Townie and we still eliminate someone from the pool.

    The Bandit

Well, at this point, unless Bandit deliberatly dropped a flase clue earlier, my top guess would be Dooku.

It better be a good role claim then.

    February 6, 2014
    Castrael

No, we still have two chances left. A Day 6 and a Day 7 lynch. Feral won't be lynched because no one questions that he's the Oracle and his power only triggers when he's nightkilled, which has no impact on the two chances we have left. And it's not so much a role claim as it is a role being literally confirmed. If he's nightkilled, the person he chose that particular night will have their role revealed the following day.
