game 25 day 2 i love chow mein chow momomomomein

Posted February 27, 2014 by Speed Bike Pro

"Here's your vanilla latte and spicy sanchez breakfast sandwich, sir. Will that be all for you today?

"It will suffice."

Shadowwalked grabbed his order and stepped outside of the local coffee shop, sitting down at a table under the shade of an umbrella. He quickly pulled his phone out of his pocket and tossed it on the table, staring impatiently at its blank screen with crossed arms and furrowed brow.

Minuted passed and soon a full hour but no results. Flies began to gather on his food as it grew cold but he had long since lost his appetite.

Tired of waiting, he finally grabbed the phone and opened it straight up to his text conversation with Jo Nathan. The last item that had been sent was a picture of his butt but there was never a response. "What's wrong with my butt?", Shadowwalked mused to himself. "Did I forget to wipe? Why would someone not like this butt?"

His thoughts were suddenly interrupted by an incoming call. He answered and was immediately overwhelmed by the frantic words of white lancer. Something had clearly gone wrong so he returned the phone to his pocket and rushed to his car, the early morning sunshine reflecting brightly off of his assless leather chaps.

Shadowwalked slammed down on the gas and drove. He drove and drove before finally screeching to a halt outside of an all too familiar location. He dashed out of his car and barged through the front door to Jo Nathan's house and saw all the residents of Ctrblacksburg gathered around a pale body on the floor. The Bandit was patting Black Yoshi on the back as he held his face in his hands. Bubba seemed a shell of himself, rocking back and forth in the corner of the room.

Shadowwalked's daze was shattered by the appearance of a man in front of him. "Excuse me, sir." It was the Ctrblacksburg Chief of Police Moonlighting as a Middle School Receptionist, MSS. "What is your relationship with the victi-"

Before he could finish his question, Shadowwalked shoved him out of the way and forced himself to the center of the mass of villagers to look at the body with his own eyes. He felt a hand on his shoulder and turned to see Apollo Justice. She held a broken mop in her hands.

"He didn't go without a fight... We think he used this to retaliate, but... He didn't make it..."

Shadowwalked looked at the mop, then back at the body, then back at Apollo, then back at the mop, then back at Apollo, then at Hindenburg with a suggestive wink, then back at the mop, then back at the body. A tiny pink slip resting on the victim's chest caught his eye. He squatted down and grabbed the pink slip, squeezing it tightly in his clutches as a single tear fell from his eyes and onto the blood-soaked Panda Express apron of Jo Nathan.

Jo Nathan, the Panda Express Janitor, had been terminated.

"As I was saying sir, I would really like to-"

Shadowwalked shoved MSS out of the way again as he stormed furiously out of the house, sad to have lost his favorite customer but eager to start a new day of work to gather his thoughts and find the culprits behind this.

"Slippy slorpy", MSS muttered in confusion.

He....he wanted me to stick around for breakfast...

You just never know how much you're going to miss giving someone Mongolian Sizzlers until they're gone for good {:(}

Can we not rename the roles anymore? It's very confusing and I don't really want to go back to the first thread to have to check everytime someone dies.

1. Shadow, put some damned underwear on. We shouldn't be seeing any "moons" after sunrise.

2. Awsome cameo for the legendary MSS!

Lucky guess by the Mafia.

Lady Flare

For everyone's reference, including my own:

Panda Express Janitor = Distracted Doctor
McBurger Flipper = Cop
Waffle House Waiter = Town Drunk
Dairy Queen Store Associate = Lawyer
Walmart Retail Associates = Townies
Papa John's Delivery Driver = Defense Attorney
Starbucks Barista = Lazy Assassin
Taco Bell Window Worker = Hooker
Denny's Busboy = Godfather

February 28, 2014
Black Yoshi

Lucky guess by the Mafia.

Or a well thought out execution. But undoubtedly the former.

Shadow, put some damned underwear on.

Not so much of a lucky guess, I think, since they had close to a 50% shot of hitting a Town power role (more than 50 of hitting someone other than a Townie). It's unfortunate, since every 'unique' role lost means it's more likely the Assassin will get an extra kill in, but pretty much inevitable with this setup. We'll have a 50% shot of losing another non-Townie tonight, including the Defense Attorney. As far as power roles go, the Doctor was worse to lose than the Lawyer, but I think the Town Drunk and maaaaybe the Cop are stronger in this setup (though the Drunk also has a shot at blocking one of our own).

I'm not really sure where to take this round. We don't exactly have a great shot at hitting a Mafia member, though, and since I don't have any clear suspicions I'm inclined to wait it out...although I would love to get some more discussion in here.

white lancer

Seriously. Is no one else continuing to be baffled by the Mafia's ability to take down the fucking Doctor or Cop the first round of every single game EVERY TIME. HOW THE FUCK DO TEHOISFUOFasdf;a;ldj

Life's path is never straight.

doctor curse (fedup)

with only Day 1 to go on, this seems like a damn lucky shot unless something happened OOG. I'm glad we still have the Cop, but this is a nasty loss nonetheless.

Well, we can't dwell on the negetives forever.

I may be reading to much into this, but I found the finality of Flare's "Well, they got lucky" comment a little suspicious. She didn't speculate or comment or anything, just a sraight up confident statement.

Best I have...

I like how I point out that we had a great shot at losing a power role (and thus, it wasn't an especially large amount of luck), and the next few posts go on to bemoan our misfortune. -_- 44% shot at hitting a power role other than the Defense Attorney means it shouldn't be all that surprising, and I do have to say that pointing out how lucky the Mafia got this game sounds like something to say without really saying anything.

...I do realize that the Doctorish role died first two games in a row, so I'm not going to read too much into those comments. Just making a note.

white lancer

Yes, that was a case of me saying something without thinking. Looking back, white lancer brings up a good pooint. The Town had a Cop, a Distracted Doctor, a Town Druck and a Lawyer. So 4 power roles and 4 Townies. I'm not sure why they targetted Jo Nathan. Maybe he was due for a power role or something since he's been a Townie for the last 3 or 4 games/resets.

We treated Day 1 with flipancy. And Day 2 hasn't seen much action to go on either. The only thing I've seen out of character is The Bandit's reply on Day 1 to vote No Kill. He usually likes to kill someone on Day 1. But there could be a lot of reasons why he voted No Kill. It was his only reply so maybe he was busy and figured we wouldn't kill anyone anyway. Just something to consider.

So, who will we sacrifice to the gods tonight then?

Feral Wolf
The Rogue Wolf

Huh...Feral seems quick on that vote. I know it's Hindenburg he's voting for, but I don't think I've ever seen him so quick to vote like that. Usually he'll spend nearly the whole round thinking it out and then vote. Then again, I've been notoriously terrible at picking out jokes in this game in the past, and this could very well be one.

Holding my vote for now.

March 1, 2014
Black Yoshi

You're mostly right, Flare. I was busy this week with midterms and I did think that we would just no kill anyway, but I also thought that it was the best strategy for this setup. As Lancer already mentioned, we don't have a great chance of hitting a mafia member, but we do have a pretty good chance of hitting one of our power roles, so indiscriminately killing just wasn't in the best interests of the Town. Usually with a larger group of players and a closer ratio, I feel like killing on every day is the best play.

Not sure I agree with him about no killing today. I don't really have an argument against it though, because I have no reliable target to point to, but it just feels so shitty to no kill on Day 2 to me.

The Bandit

Feral is incapable of humor. His childish lashings out will be his downfall.

Sorry I haven't been around much, I'd say I'd be back with things to contribute in the morning but... I don't really have much to contribute at this point. When I'm not just on my phone, which is kinda a pain to post on, I'll actually add something.

Life's path is never straight.

Well, round ends in 2.5 hours and we are not really getting anywhere in terms of a killing, unless someone felt strongly about Hindenburg or Feral, but I don't think either of them would be my first lynch choice anyways.

So IDK. I'm not comfortable with a kill at this point. I'd apologize for what seems like my inactivity but it's just been.. very slow for everyone apparently.

With 11 players left and a power role gone, and no suspicions thrown besides two votes for one another, I'm willing to wait another round.

(Also I have the night 2 curse please don't let me die night 2 :'( )

March 2, 2014
Apollo Justice

also hezekiah sup I see you haven't contributed to this riveting Day 2

March 2, 2014
Apollo Justice

Wow shit, we're almost at the end of the round already. Badger game's almost over, I'll buckle down for a bit after that.

March 2, 2014
hezekiah

Of the little activity we've had so far in the game, I think that Feral is the most suspicious. His rather quick suspicions of Flare and Hindy are the beginnings of an interesting pattern.

March 2, 2014
Apollo Justice

You're not on skype?

Part of it is I really don't want to keep No Killing.

March 2, 2014
hezekiah

Well, I'm sorry if Feral is Mafia but you and I were the only ones that were here during end round and since we had differing opinions it wouldn't have worked out to where we both got what we wanted anyways. And I haven't been on Skype/been without my computer a lot of the time recently and I apologize partly for that for me being not-so-active this round.

Damn, I dodged a bullet there. Yes, that thing was a joke about Hindy. It's no secret that I don't like him. Unfortunatly, I have been preoccupied by my Zelda game and this slipped my mind.

My humor sucks...
