game 25 day 3 day breaks red for the lancing white

Posted March 5, 2014 by Speed Bike Pro

The familiar sound of knocking rang throughout the lancer household. On the other side of the front door stood Apollo Justice, ready to greet her friend with the morning sunshine of a bright new day and her market-fresh croissants. Similarly to every day, however, her knocks fell upon deaf ears and she leapt into action.

She readied her leg and aimed it carefully, knocking down the front door to white lancer's house in a single swift blow. Immediately, she darted into the living room and found cover behind a couch just before she heard a faint ringing from the earpiece lodged in her ear canal. Holding two fingers to the device, she was able to hear the voice of an old ally.

"Big Justice, do you copy?"

"Loud and clear, Frustro. I have infiltrated the premises", Apollo replied.

"Frustro... I haven't heard that name in a long time... No, call me Buttwhistle now." The mysterious, coarse, and admittedly cool voice coming through the earpiece had not been heard for several decades, which equates roughly to 8 games of Mafia.

"My apologies, Buttwhistle. Now, where was the last location of the GPS tracker we planted on the target?"

"The kitchen. Remember, this is a sneaking mission. If you get caught, we have no knowledge of you. Good luck, Apollo Boss." Suddenly, Frustro's voice cut out and Apollo was left alone again. After a quick observation of her surroundings, she spotted a doorway leading into the kitchen and crawled there to avoid detection. What she saw once she was there horrified her.

Red splattered all over the floor and walls. Whatever had happened, it resulted in a bloody mess... until she saw the empty ketchup bottles. Picking one up as she continued to walk through the house, Apollo smirked and muttered to herself, "just can't break that habit, eh lancer?"

Her progress was halted suddenly when her foot collided with a lifeless mass on the floor. She looked down and the only thing that dropped faster than her jaw was the ketchup bottle out of her hand. It clattered to the ground, bouncing to a rest right next to the body of white lancer. It was real this time, however, that much was evident from the pink slip Apollo retrieved from lancer's bloodied chest.

white lancer, the Wal-Mart Retail Associate, had been relieved of his duties.

After paying her respects with a salute, Apollo picked up white lancer's body in her arms and stepped out into the daylight. The other residents of Ctrblacksburg were already there, waiting to see their lost comrade. MSS emerged from the crowd to try to take control of the situation.

"Alright everyone, nothing to see here, let's just all go back to our jo-"

He was shoved out of the way by Apollo as she continued to carry white lancer's body in her arms down the street. Behind her, Bubba tearfully recited a heart-felt rendition of Journey's "Don't Stop Believing" and Feral piped in with his own cover of Nickelback's "How You Remind Me."

The rest of the townsfolk followed them all the way to the Ctrblacksburg Cemetery and said their final farewells to white lancer before departing for their jobs.

I guess we are going to have to go back to the other thread every day? Lancer was obviously a townie based on the numbers, but dude. It really is annoying.

"Never made as a wise man. Couldn't cut as a poor man stealing. Tired of living like a blind man. Sick of site without a sense of feeling.

This is how you remind of what I really am!"

I, TheMcDonalds Burger-Flipper, have come to avenge White Lancer! Last night, I was closing up when I saw a figure creeping out the kitchen outside exit with my stock of ketchup. Being an undercover detective, I stalked this criminal. I was shocked to see them go to White Lancer's house. I hid in the bushes as they broke in through the basement. A few minutes later, I heard voices. The first, Lancer, started to thank the other for the late night delevery. Lancer then screamed and I heard glass shattering. Then everything went quiet. I heard a deep voice say "You should have controled your addition. They only destroy you... or help us to!

I saw the figure from my resturaunt run back out of the basement, and got a good look at him.

The person who murdered White Lancer was... HEZEKIAH!

Once we lynch this killer, I strongly advise everybody to take a REAL close look at Mr. Bubba, who let slip that Hezekiah was Mafia and I wasn't("Looks like the Mafia are all over Feral") at the last second last round. How could he have known that?

So Day 3 and we (the Town) haven't killed anyone yet. I really think we need to kill someone today.

We still have:

The Cop practicing interagation techniques at McDonald's.

The Town Drunk adding special sauce to the waffles.

The Layer paying for his law degree at Dairy Queen.

3 Mafia

And the Defense Attorny driving around at night with a backseat full of pizzas.

Flare, we are lynching Hezekiah, whom I, the Cop found GUILTY.

Tomorrow, I ask everybody to look closely at Bubba.

Looks like I missed some Mafia-on-Feral action

How exactly did he know Hez is Mafia and I'm not?

Feral, if you are the Cop, was it wise to say so? The Assassin can take you out tonight. Unless you think hezekiah is the Assassin. There's a 50:50 chance of it I guess. Or is this a ruse and OOG talk is going on. But you normally don't partake in that if I remember correctly.

The cop was told to reveal any guilty verdicts. I'm not in any ooc, so I had no one to say anything in private too. I'm dead either way.

Ok. I hope hez is the Assassin.

This also pretty much makes Apollo innocent in my eyes (unless she's the defense attorney and Feral is her target; pretty unlikely, but even if true we wouldn't want to waste a lynch on her anyway).

The Bandit

Oh, by the way, who was your Night 1 check Feral? I assume you got an innocent verdict.

I have things to say and I'm going to be voting for hezekiah, but I'm not going to yet so that we can elongate the round until I can post at least.

Lancer, obviously innosent.

a positive ID from the Cop is good news but that still leaves us with two more mafia to pin down. So after a little TCB today, I think that our best course forward would be to take a look at the Day 2 votes for future reference:

  • Feral voted first for Hindenburg without any real explanation, which I could go either way about. It's no secret they don't get along, so I could see Feral doing it either because he actually found Hindy suspicious, or because he just didn't think he'd be any help to the town either way. Or simply as a joke that he never came back to retract (especially once it'd have endangered him to change it). In any case, though, he's claiming Cop...so unless we get a counterclaim I'm inclined to take him at his word.

  • Hindenburg voting for Feral was likely just a response to Feral's vote, and I don't think there's very much to be said for it either way. Self-defense looks pretty similar from both sides.

  • hezekiah opted to break the tie, which I guess makes sense either as a member of the town who wants to learn something concrete from the day round, or as a mafia member looking to lynch someone who is (presumably) innocent. Given the claim and verdict today, though, it looks to be the latter case.

  • Apollo forced a tie and a no-kill, and if hezekiah is indeed mafia it seems unlikely that she be on his side as well. It only really makes sense to me for her to negate his vote like that if she were the Godfather trying to buy the town's trust. But considering that she hadn't been actively posting, she could just as easily have stayed quiet toward the end of the round and let the lynch go through without it making her look guilty. I think it's more likely that she's innocent.

There really hasn't been a lot to go on in the past couple days, so at least this is a good development. Hopefully there can be more discussion out of everyone today (including myself).

    Shadowwalked

Can no one make the seventh vote fot hezekiah so that we can actually have more discussion? I don't understand why we can't just wait a little more time before lynching him. Plus I have a midterm at 3:30 and class until 6:30 so I won't be able to say things until then and I'm sure I'm not the only one whp wants to.

The way I see it, there are two ways this can go. If Hezy is guilty, then Feral is all but confirmed innocent. If Hezy turns up innocent, then Feral is all but confirmed guilty. Of course I'm not saying this because I'm Captain Obvious, but because we cannot rule out the possibility that Feral is Mafia impersonating the Cop. Alas, Hezy's affiliation shall decide Feral's fate.

    March 5, 2014
    Black Yoshi

Well, it's possible that the mafia contacted Feral and pretended to be the Cop, so hezekiah and Feral could both wind up being innocent. I really doubt it, as I assume the real Cop would also have contacted Feral by now and told him what's up, but there are still a decent number of quiet people hang about, so who knows. I definitely believe that Feral believes hezekiah to be guilty though, and that's more than enough for me.

Retracting my vote to let the round linger.
