Hey there everyone. This is the mafia and today our special guests are:

Speed Bike Pro - Godfather
Jo Nathan - Public Killer
Bubba - Hooker
EvilGuy0613 - Mafioso
SDYoshi - Mafioso

Role descriptions are stated in the main thread, but a brief summary:

Godfather appears innocent in cop results (unless targeted by the Insane Cop!)

Public Killer can choose to kill anyone at any point in any round once. The kill will be made regardless of protection status, but your identity will be revealed to the town.

Hooker can roleblock a player at night. Cannot target the same person two nights in a row.

Mafiosos exist.

Keep in mind that one player in the town is a Turncoat. If you target them for a kill, they will become mafia.

I was thinking Dooku or lancer except the Doctor might be anticipating that.

I'm leaning towards Hindy and EvilGuy0613 atm. Hindenburg because people would probably be like "omg whoever is in the mafia must be very stern and intolerant of hindenburg's antics" (aka not me) and EvilGuy because he's evil.

I like the reasoning behind killing Hindenburg. Maybe we choose between Pirate and Hindenburg this round and kill the other next round? EvilGuy is one of us so I don't know if I'd make killing him a priority right now.

reminder that in addition to the scenarios he mentioned, you could be the Suspect (who IIRC appears Townie to self but comes up guilty when checked)

more likely I think people will take a chance on it and lynch you, but you can still give him the ol' "ok but I'm takin u with me LOL" by killing him once your fate is clear but not carried out

I've been following the game while away, though doing it on mobile detracts from the usual ease/convenience, so I'm not fully steeped in fine mafia juices atm...


so, to recap the remaining verdicts white lancer shared:

Count Dooku - Innocent
Helius - Innocent
ignoring the possibility of the Poltergeist messing with results (it's possible, though unlikely), both the Godfather and Suspect are still alive to give irregular results. It'd be nice to avoid the latter, since it gives three of us a chance of avoiding a lynch even if checked and exposed...and the two people he checked are confirmed to not be the Suspect (unless lancer started out insane and was cured).


also worth considering: the Psychiatrist role is Compulsive, so if they happen to miss a night round they'll be silenced the following day. Possibly unrelated, but Apollo didn't post at all in the last day thread. Maybe not by choice?

on that note, HEEEEEEEEEEY MAJORA: if the Hooker roleblocks the Psychiatrist, will that silence them as if they had failed to choose a target? It's not the most practical intentional use of Bubba's talents, but it is something we could watch for.


that said, right now I would lean most strongly toward Count Dooku, hezekiah, or Apollo Justice tonight. Thoughts?

neither Castrael (Night 1) nor Black Yoshi (Night 3) were silenced after their visits, so that should rule them out as Psychiatrist possibilities (unless Poltergeist I guess but f******** that guy). Not that I'm particularly concerned with who the Psychiatrist is, but just in case it's useful info at some point.

I wouldn't mind killing Apollo. I've always liked killing inactive/quiet players due to the confusion that occurs when the big talkers remain. Of course, knowing Apollo, she'll turn up soon with a wall of text.

As far as hookering goes, keep choosing at random to weed out the psychiatrist? Or you could look at it mathematically and keep targeting players who you know are not the psychiatrist, meaning they have a better chance of being the other cop.

when she's actively contributing, she tends to be good at changing minds as well. And right now there seem to mostly be false leads floating around, so it might be good to try and maintain that.


option 3 on hookering imo would be to target our kill in case we hit upon a self-protecting Doctor. With no declared power roles like Cop A to protect and no restrictions on consecutive visits, I think the Doctor is likely to be self-serving for now. That said, it's probably a waste unless we do happen to target the Doctor (by random chance still not all that likely), but it is an option. That said, my gut points to hezekiah for reasons I can't quite articulate - if he's not the kill target and you don't feel strongly about spending the night with someone else, that is.


I'd like to let the night round go on as offered for the sake of hearing from the others, but in case we hit upon a deadline for decision-making, I'll throw my personal two cents in for now as kill Apollo, hook hezekiah.

Sorry I haven't been contributing much at all. I'm still interested in playing it's just that my cousin has literally been over my house all this week for 4th of July and I haven't had time to do anything computer related.

Also will probably be busy tomorrow as well but I'll just add to the conversation by saying I'm also on board with Apollo getting killed for most of the reasons stated already. It's probably better if she get's taken out before she can do anything useful.

My apologies as well. I've been receiving roughly twice my irl workload which only leaves me with a small handful of hours for free time before bed which does not mesh well with my usual Mafia playstyle of spending an entire afternoon reading through previous rounds and throwing together a really overblown conspiracy for why someone is guilty. I'm probably gonna die because "speed isn't acting normal durrr" or "yeah why is he so quiet hnnnn" or "hello i'm chiefsonny" but the reason for all that isn't because I'm mafia.

I know, and I was torn on whether to actually say something about that and risk getting caught up in "hey look this guy was obviously trying to save the Godfather he's probably mafia" because I know you really have been busy (sad)


And I'm a little surprised that after not posting since Day2 and now when the Mafia are down to 3, you post a wall of text.
actually I think the game where I was the Impulsive Arsonist would be an example of how I tend to play that way regardless of affiliation. The one time I remember being vocal early on, I was almost mislynched for it (amusingly enough, I believe chief was the sole remaining mafia member that time).

...also, y'know, that whole thing where I was on vacation for a week with limited internet access, and upon returning focused on getting Adventure started because nobody else can do that (numerous pages of notes and planning that is only partially visible...all that text doesn't write itself, y'know)

I'd be mildly annoyed at this point if I had ever actually felt like I had a good chance of winning.

sooooooo I lack the time, motivation, and positive state of mind to do the usual sort of analysis here

  • Count Dooku would be the obvious choice for us to kill, and thus the obvious choice for the Doctor to protect. Obvious enough that they might assume we won't try him, and thus an A+ bluff call? Who cares knows.

  • Roxas's role is useless, but he's basically a confirmed innocent so he would be a "safe" choice.

  • chiefsonny's innocence is technically in question (not that anyone seemed particularly interested in having that pointed out), but targeting the person who is openly on our case could throw people off.
