I'm a little disappointed the mafia did end up going through with the kill because I was secretly starting to regret my idea of having myself killed early on. But I can't be too disappointed since I did intentionally force the mafia's hand. I figured with a Fool claim in the way I did I was inviting the mafia to kill me, while at the same time preventing myself from being lynched by the town.

The benefit to this could end up being insignificant, but it could also be a major help later in the game. In games with a Janitor, it's usually very helpful for the town if the only hidden bodies are "Townies." I figured by forcing the mafia to kill a townie for their first kill (and not setting myself up for a lynch) it could possibly help in the long run.

Another possible benefit is that now both the Mafia and Fool know that I was town-sided, but the town-sided players are probably convinced I was the Fool. It might not come into play at all, but usually when a player knows more than they pretend to, they don't play as naturally as they would otherwise. If a town-sided player catches on to the fact that someone is convinced I wasn't the Fool, it could work in their favor.

I also figured it would make the first day just slightly more exciting, even if it meant I would die {:P}.

But now I'm jealous that I won't get to participate in the slightly more exciting game :(..

The Nurse? I think that's basically a Doctor that roleblocks the person they protect, right? That would be a night action. Almost every action in the game is done at night, just with some very specific exceptions (like the Sheriff, who can kill during the day.)

If they want to tell the town they'll have to expose one of themselves to do so. I was hoping they would hide my body just because of the dynamic that causes where mafia members KNOW that I wasn't the Fool (and thus, have to play being careful of who they lynch) but the town are fairly positive that I am the Fool (because me being a townie would be a bad play in most cases.) The danger here is if the town ends up lynching the Fool because of my claim, but I think it's very telling right now (Day 2) when you look at which players are assuming I was DEFINITELY the Fool and which are assuming I might have been town-sided.

Oh, that makes sense. The town probably thinks you are the Fool because no one has counter claimed it.

It would be smart of Mafia to fake claim a role and then hide the body. So, I would probably assume that you were Mafia trying to get a lead on the real Fool. Smart move right there.

Well, I have few Theories:

  • Dooku is obviously innocent; I think he's just a Townie.

  • I'm surprised that Hindenburg hasn't been killed yet. In the past games, he's been killed first.

  • Speedy, I think is Mafia, yet again.

    You created a really weird dynamic where you gave the Mafia information that the rest of the Town doesn't know, but it will actually probably help the Town. I was really confused at how many hesitant players there were on Day2, but now I guess it sort of makes sense? But if the Mafia really are concerned about the Fool and are saying so in the main thread, why not just leave his body exposed? Yeah. I think I really dislike their use of the Janitor there. It doesn't seem to help them at all.

    Anyway, I'm not too disappointed I died. I didn't have any grasp on anyone, so I wouldn't have been very helpful anyway. I probably would have been harmful actually, since I'm usually so vocal and all of my ideas this game are poop.

    Innocent verdicts can still be a real problem for the Mafia unless the verdicts are mostly those of dead people. More innocent verdicts = less room to hide.
