I haven't really thought about the balancing in this game, but I will say the thing with Apollo was just terrible luck (for the town). We happened to investigate her on Night 0 and she happened to give one of us a gun.

Hez was a lucky guess. We figured he was the cop but it was based on an incorrect observation.

I find it interesting to watch others provide analyses on what little actions I took during my short run this game. I won't comment on whether or not the town is suspecting the correct people as a result of these analyses, but I will say there was actually no rhyme or reason whatsoever to my actions other than to be active and not look like I was flying under the radar.

But yeah I really didn't expect to make it far into the game. I was literally a one-man mafia team, going against the town and a larger mafia. Winning required me to be the last person standing which... is kind of too difficult in a game of mafia :)...

My teammates basically have to avoid being lynched four times in a row in order to win, which would put the town at a do-or-die situation during round 6. If one of my teammates gets lynched, then that means an even longer time for the others to avoid suspicion.

1v1 ratio does not mean the town wins. If the ratio reaches 1v1, the Mafia would win. The Mafia have to either outnumber the town or match the town in numbers in order to achieve victory.

If it will help people keep interest, I think it makes sense. It wouldn't be the first time we shortened rounds to speed things up. However, in my opinion you should ask the living players what they think and potentially wait to get input from our loveable executive hosts.

It's usually easy to weed out the last Mafia because at that point he/she has no teammates to help perpetuate misinformation while the members of the town are able to pool their thoughts together and see if there are any common suspicions and observations.

Now that I think about it, was there ever a time when the Mafia took the victory with one remaining member, aside from that one time with Bubba?

Yeah, at that point I would have been reasonably surprised if P_N wasn't the last one--the thing that got me was that the kills were so methodical, and I think he's the one best equipped to pull that off. Unfortunately, it gets a lot harder to follow your gut instincts at the end of the game. Pretty sure I would have voted for him, but I definitely expected to be dead before it came to that. Always second-guessing myself when it comes to the end.

I'm definitely a little frustrated with myself that I didn't tie the votes with Speed, because I was fairly confident he was innocent the entire time...there was always that sliver of doubt, though. What I really wanted to do that day round was cast my vote for Pirate, but I was waiting to see if he (or anyone else) would say anything to make them look guilty. Voting for him that round wasn't likely to get him lynched anyway and I just was never completely sure.

I was thinking this might end with Pirate siding with SD to vote out Lightvayne at the end...it does seem risky to kill EvilGuy, though, given the recent suspicion Lightvayne has of him (which I don't really understand--he was the one player left I was sure I would never cast a vote for as I found him to be the least suspicious by far). There are reasons to think both Lightvayne and SDYoshi are innocent, which is why P_N was my top choice, but neither of their reasons were as compelling as EvilGuy's reason for being innocent (he was the one that put the nail in Dooku's coffin).
