Well only one more mafia left. Based on how things went down I think I have a pretty good idea on who's innocent but unfortunately I'm not too certain who could be the last one. I have some candidates though no strong evidence. SDYoshi has been pretty quiet but hasn't really been acting strange. Due to not contributing much it's hard to get a good read on him. I'd say there's about a 50 % chance he could be mafia.

I also still stick to what I said previous day about Hindenburg and Speed Bike Pro being the possible last mafia member. Bubba I don't believe he's mafia so much anymore though I won't dismiss the idea just yet in case I manage to miss something. Well anyways I guess I'll wait to see what others have to say before voting. Oh and please do speak up!

Based entirely on the behavior of the current dead mafia, I would suspect that Lightvayne is likely the last mafia, but I'm not taking any extra account into this conclusion, I'll read up on his posts later.

I still find Bubba suspicious...though, looking back, it is of note that he considered both Lightvayne and EvilGuy more enticing lynch targets than Chaos (who we know to be innocent). That's a point in his favor, I guess, although the Day 1 bandwagon vote for EvilGuy still concerns me. It's also interesting that he didn't cast a vote for Roxas until he was basically dead anyway, and I have a hard time believing the defense of 'the Mafia wouldn't let one of their own die at this point in the game' considering he (and plenty of other Mafia members in the past) has thrown his fellow Mafia members under the bus late in the game as well. 'Nobody's defending me' is not a defense in my book, and it's the main thing that has me wary of him at this point.

There's just so little to go on regarding Speed and Hindenburg. Speed made some posts of substance earlier in the game, but he faded away pretty quickly. I guess that you could take that as a sign that he's a Mafia member who gave up on the game, but that feels so flimsy to me...and there's the fact that IIRC he acted very similarly last time he was a vanilla Townie.

I think EvilGuy is most likely innocent...largely on the basis of him casting the vote that put Dooku over the threshold. That could be wrong, but there was still a fair chance Dooku escapes that round without too much of a target on his head so there's a definite point in his favor. Lady Flare gets a softer point in her favor--with the small amount of votes going around, Dooku was likely going to be lynched that day anyway so her vote probably didn't matter too much, but it's likely she was just trying to ensure a lynch through a possible Double-Voter. Votes cast with 'I hope you're right about this' always make me nervous, but...there are reasons to be suspicious about anybody at this point. Also of note is that both EvilGuy and Flare voted for Chaos, but that doesn't necessarily mean too much now.

Lightvayne is an interesting candidate--the random votes early on could signal trouble. I tried finding what you were talking about, SD Yoshi, and I did notice that Jo defended him on Day 1...but I would have made much the same point had I been around earlier, so I don't consider that especially damning. More interesting is Dooku's handling of the situation, as he reversed direction on Lightvayne--first he says he hasn't done anything suspicious, and then, as he's probably on his way out, he suggests voting for Lightvayne. Could be a Mafia member trying to clear another Mafia member on his way out, I guess. He's still not terribly high on my suspect list.

For some reason, I'm just not especially suspicious of SD Yoshi. It's hard to put my finger on it, but he just seems like he's legitimately trying to figure the game out at this point. He also hasn't actually cast a vote yet this game for any option, so I suppose he could be trying to fly under the radar, but...

Pirate_Ninja is another interesting option. I think he, Bubba, and Speed are reasonably likely to have gotten the gun from Apollo on Night 0, and that Day 1 shooting of her still feels like a Mafia kill to me. Chief picked up on Roxas for being just active enough to avoid a hostkill or anything like that but quiet enough to fly under the radar, and Pirate could fit into a similar pattern...that being said, the few posts that he's made have been pretty thoughtful ones. There's one brief instance in which he 'defends' (reasonably) Jo Nathan, but the bulk of that post is defending Bandit, so...

The problem I'm having now is that people have been so quiet in general that there's just not too much to go off of. I do think a lynch is warranted every day round of the game until the end, however--we should get four lynches in before we lose (assuming we don't hit the Mafia member before then). This day round, I'm most likely to cast a vote for Bubba (although I'd like to hear what he has to say first), and probably least likely to vote for EvilGuy, SD Yoshi, and Flare.

Best route at this point may be to look for innocence rather than guilt. I disagree with Lancer concerning Lightvayne. Lightvayne was the second vote (really third, since he knew my vote would be going toward Roxas) for Roxas who really had no substantial evidence behind him. I can't see a mafia member throwing his own under the bus that early. Dooku also made a comment earlier in the game about Lightvayne not being helpful in tracking down the mafia, which I thought was odd at the time. His innocence is 100% in my eyes.

I read through the threads earlier taking turns with each poster, pretending they were the last mafia member. Lady Flare struck me as the most unusual.

-Her vote for Dooku came at an interesting point. She could have voted No Kill and tied the game. But she tied her hands in a way when earlier in the round she said she was definitely going to vote for someone and bashed the idea of a no kill. Even avoiding to vote would look odd, so instead she waited late into the round to finish off Dooku.

Which would make me be inclined to believe in Lancer's innocence if Flare was found guilty.

Or we coudld settle on Speed/Hindy. Too we can't take them both out in a package deal.

Oh? Still getting used to how people play the game wasn't aware that people throwing one of their own under the bus was common. (Though that did happen my very first game.) That's interesting...Now that I see it maybe there's some possibility that Bubba saw no hope for Roxas and went along with it?

I guess I kind of forgot Pirate Ninja was still alive as he's been fairly quiet. Still not too suspicious of him though it's hard to tell anything. Well I guess I'll wait and see what SDYoshi has to offer otherwise I guess Bubba is the candidate at the moment.

I haven't been on the ball at all this game. I admit that I've been going with what others have said and basing my votes on them which is unusual for me.

When I was making my post (and vote) for Dooku, Evilguy had not yet put his in. He beat me but if you look at the time stamp I was only a minute behind him.

I've been very careful with my votes this game and it's not just because of vote locking (although that is part of it) I'm the Double Voter. If the Mafia hasn't figured that out yet, they're having a worse game than I am.

OKAY HI SORRY I just got back home late last night so I can actually try to participate in a meaningful capacity (mobile is just the worst for reading back)

and...just in time for something that seems too good to be true? I take this to mean either that Speed is reaching risky new levels of comedy, or that he's mafia none too thrilled about the prospect of an 8-1 deficit. I'm inclined to believe Lady Flare, despite her earlier claim of Townie (which would make sense as a means to avoid being nightkilled by a mafia that presumably wants to be rid of claimable town roles) - I was a bit suspicious of her up to this point, but for her to be mafia and falseclaim a one-off role at 8-1 is pretty absurd. It'd work for, what, one round after the real deal spoke up? Unless she were incredibly confident in being able to deflect the suspicion it'd attract, it doesn't make much sense to me...and even with Night Talk allowing for some time to explain before anyone could make an unchangeable vote, it seems too risky. Risk is probably a given when you're distinctly outnumbered, but there are limits to these things and it doesn't strike me as something she'd do.

I have class and work starting soon, and may or may not get another chance to check back in before 5:52 tonight.

Speed doesn't have a reason to lie in this situation. His name is being thrown around with Hindenburg, but I'm the only serious target in this round. So unless he has reached full jackass mode, I don't see a reason to doubt him.

Voting Speed or Flare will confirm a liar. It's the only option really.

Ugh. Neither of these claims make any sense at this point--the last Mafia member wouldn't risk claiming the Double-Voter unless they were legitimately about to be voted off (not the case with Flare OR Speed). We're just not close enough to the end for this to have any shot at working. There have been previous games where the Host has been sneaky and snuck in a second Double-Voter, but Castrael posted in the main thread that there are 6 vanilla Townies left so I very much doubt this is the case (that being said, Castrael, can you confirm that there is only one Double-Voter this game?).

I wish you hadn't voted, Bubba, because there's really only one course of action that makes sense when we have a Double-Voter claim: the two claimants should vote for each other, and they should be the only votes. Since the real one will have two votes, their vote will supersede the liar's vote, getting them lynched. I suggest we set that up here and have Flare and Speed vote for each other (curious that Speed didn't vote for Flare when he counterclaimed, no?), I guess with someone else voting for Speed to balance it out. There are other ways to check out a claim (e.g. if Speed isn't here in time to cast a vote but Flare is, she can make her vote and Bubba can be the only other vote), but none quite so efficient at checking both as that.

I'll check back in at my lunch break, which should be about an hour before the end of the round, but I think doing what I suggested gives us the best shot. Just hoping there are no Town-sided shenanigans taking place here...I guess we can't just ignore a claim/counterclaim, though.

If the Town really wants to vote me off, it's not the end of the world and it will settle this discrepancy. However, I advise the Town to vote for Bubba before Speed next Round. I'm not really sure what's up with Speed lately. But go back to last game and look at what he was doing there. I would say something or vote and he would respond to it or copy my vote. Speed hasn't taken the last few games seriously.

Lancer, I definitely see the logic in what you are suggesting. But I don't want to vote Speed off because I'm more suspicious of Bubba. However, a slight modification could also work. As it stands, Bubba is the only person who has cast a vote. If I vote for him and no one else votes, he will be lynched because I'm the DV. Or if I'm lying it will end in a No Kill and you will,have found your last Mafia and can kill me next Round and win. That and I don't want to rely on Speed to cooperate.

I think that I am very much okay with this plan, Flare. I kinda wanted to vote off Bubba today anyway even after Speed's 'reveal,' for much the same reasons. This way, we can test your claim and eliminate someone suspicious (potentially the last Mafia member) all at once.
