You are the doctor.

Each night round, you can choose to save someone from possible death!

Yay! I get to play a game without being Mafia!

I have a question, though.

If that person will die for some reason during that night (such as the mafia trying to kill him or her), the doctor will save his or her life.

The rules say that I can save someone from dying for "some reason." Am I right in assuming that includes the Vigilante? What about a Cultist who attempts to recruit a Mason or a Mason who attempts to recruit a Mafioso?

Yep. If a person dies for any reason, you can save them.

That includes if a vigilante kills them (though there is no vigilante in this game). That includes if you save a Cultist who targets or is targeted by a Mason. That includes a Mason who targets a Mafioso.

Alright, sounds good. And I retain my Doctor powers if I get recruited into the Cult/Masons, right?

Oh, okay. So would that work with the Mafia as well? They'd stop being Mafia/lose the ability to kill people if they were recruited into the Cult?
