Tomb Raiders - Final Round
All rounds "officially" end at 4pm BST (UTC +1). However depending on when I get the free time to update, it may be slightly earlier or later than that.

The Game
  • Team-based puzzle solving race to the finish.
  • Reach the treasure room before the opposing team.
  • Solve puzzles in each room, this will require collaboration between team members.
  • There is no strict way to solve a puzzle though certain tasks may be necessary to partial solve one, however these also will not be strict on how you complete them.
  • Death is temporary, killing players reduces your team score by 1.
  • Most rooms have hidden features, the initial description of the room may not cover everything. Try searching and investigating a room to reveal its secrets!
  • Each team has a base camp post. Be sure to visit it to talk in private with your team!

    The Map
    This map is intentionally crude and poorly drawn. It was intended for my reference primarily, yours secondary. I'm expecting someone (usually Xhin) will make a neater version for when the game starts. Also the Illusion Room was scrapped in favour of the Maze Room.
  • Red = Automatic Room Movement (when puzzle is solved).
  • Blue = Player must choose to move between these rooms.

    The Objective
    Your objective is to reach the Treasure Room before the other team! Each player will have at least one item in their inventory to start, these items may prove key to getting through the rooms ahead.

    Each main room has a secret treasure, these will earn you bonus points. To find the secret treasure you must solve the puzzle the way the host intended, be careful though: the host's solution may not be the quickest way through the room and solving the puzzle your own way may prove faster and earn you victory.
    (Rooms Included: Trap Room, Trick Room, Maze Room, Water Room and Guardian Room).

    The Points
    All points are team based unless stated otherwise.

  • 5 Victory Points to players on the winning team.
  • -1 Point to your team if you kill a player.
  • 1 Treasure Point for each secret treasure located.
  • Bonus Points can be allocated to individuals based on how well they play, creativeness and other factors.
  • Pity Points may be allocated to individuals if the host feels they are deserved.

    The Story
    Prologue

    A stunningly charming businessman known only by the mysterious name of Redack hires two teams to raid a tomb of all valuables so that he may display the ancient treasures in his British Museum, situated in London. They each meet with him briefly before setting off on their journey and after a quick flight to Peru.

    The journey up the mountains is long and tiring, some do not make it. Those that do finally reach the Temple of Inuredackatep, who has no relation to Redack whatsoever, where they setup separate base camps within which they discuss things privately... Such as how glad they are to be away from that Mansion, how bad the other team smells and most importantly how to find the treasure in the temple!

    The next morning both teams make their way into the Temple through separate doors where the quickly discover they have entered two identical rooms connected by a small narrow passageway... Who would design such a temple they asked themselves, who could be so deviously yet charmingly evil? Deciding they may never knew, they set to work searching the room for clues in hopes of being the first to discover the ancient treasure!

    Round 1

    The teams get to grids with their location and their base camps in a productive day of research. Several interesting theories on the solution to the first room are thrown around but ultimately neither team makes much progress in regards to moving through the Trap Room.

    Round 2

    After a nasty incident with some acid, Chiefsonny spends the round unconscious whilst the rest of Team Croft decide on their next move... Meanwhile the Team Jones Base Camp becomes quiet as the team continue their investigations of the Temple, clearly too deep in though for idle campfire conversations.

    Round 3

    Poison darts incapacitate Pirate_Ninja for the round and with him gone the rest of the team feels slightly less burdened... Well they do miss him a little I suppose. Meanwhile Team Croft fares slightly better with all their members remaining healthy but as the days go by, they begin to wonder if any of them have any hope of surviving this expedition!

    Round 4

    Team Jones has a little accident whilst Team Croft goes nowhere fast!

    Round 5

    After their little accident Team Jones losses half it's members to unconsciousness. Count Dooku,Pirate_Ninja,Speed Bike Pro and Castrael spend the round in the land of fairies... Over in Team Croft they continue to scratch their heads at the mysterious puzzle laid before them, could it really be this difficult? What would the Professor do?

    Round 6

    Team Jones takes the lead and moves into the Trick Room. Team Croft meanwhile is saddened by this news, will they catch up or will they get left behind?

    Round 7

    Team Jones continues to investigate the mysterious Trick Room whilst Team Croft summons all of their might to find a way out of the Trap Room.

    Round 8

    A slight mishap causes LLight to take spend the round taking a nap on Team Croft's side... Meanwhile in the Land of Jones they continue searching for solutions to the Trick Room.

    Round 9

    Team Croft catches up as they move into their copy of the Trick Room. However Team Jones have already had three rounds to search the room, securing a decent lead over their competition! Will Team Croft be able to catch up or are they destined to fall behind?

    Round 10

    Water begins flooding into Team Jones' Trick Room, I'm sure it's all going according to plan... ... ... Anyway over in Team Croft's Trick Room they continue to research their new surroundings.

    Round 11

    As water continues to flood Team Jones' room they receive a little spy from the other team, the spy of course promptly flees back into Team Croft's Trick Room.

    Round 12

    Redack discovers Xhin broke something! Meanwhile Team Jones continue to panic with the ever increasing water and gas levels! Over on Team Croft, the little spy reports back and they try to make a plan of action.

    Round 13

    Team Jones fall (literally) into the Maze Room which is mysteriously labelled as the Illusion Room on all the maps. Meanwhile Team Croft continue making progress in the Trick Room.

    Round 14

    A trip and a slip and Team Croft slowly progress to the finish line, meanwhile Team Jones resorts to carrying people!

    Round 15

    A drop in activity, no doubt due to most people being that subspecies known as students, forces Team Jones to think outside the box as Team Croft continue slipping and tripping their way along. Meanwhile Redack suspects several people aren't interested in the calmer nature of Game 3, or just don't like puzzles (good news the next game has NO PUZZLES AT ALL).

    Round 16

    Lights, not LLights, out for Team Jones as everything goes dark! Speaking of LLight, he provides a helping hand to his Team Croft allies... What a decent fellow he is.

    Round 17

    Team Croft fall into the Maze Room and begin investigating. Meanwhile on Team Jones Pirate_Ninja plays the song of Castrael summoning... Seems like there's a reference in there somewhere, not that he got my Futurama reference several rounds back with the fire! But I don't hold a grudge, much...

    Round 18

    Pirate_Ninja claims he got my reference, I'll let him off this time. Meanwhile Team Croft takes to spying on Team Jones again, and they would've gotten away with it too if it weren't for that meddling Speed Bike Pro.

    Round 19

    To bomb or not to bomb... That is the question on someone's mind. On the mind of the host however is whether or not to give active players the items/abilities of their inactive friends!

    Round 20

    Friday the 13th looms on the horizon, but our teams continue their valiant efforts to solve the puzzles set out before them.

    Round 21

    Lights on, lights off, lights on, lights off, lights on, lights off.

    Round 22

    Some items are taken from inactive players and distributed to active players. Meanwhile the Maze proves to be more tedious than challenging, but at least it's better than an Illusion Room that I think probably would've taken ten months to solve!

    Round 23

    Redack, sat in his British Library, becomes worried that no one likes him any more since they stopped asking him questions.

    Round 24

    It's lights on for Team Jones as Team Croft continue to enjoy their redistributed items!

    Round 25

    Redack swaps the teams around as Team Jones gets familiar with the Water Room... Be it irony or fate, Team Croft's activity starts to rise again.

    Round 26

    Team Croft keeps shambling along like a zombie, as Team Jones focus their attention on investigating the three rooms presented to them.

    Round 27

    Now those who were active have become less active and those who were inactive have become more active... Host is left confused... Host also vows never to do puzzle based games again as they generally seem to suck for this.

    Round 28

    Did you know ancient temples cause less deaths than cars? So when you let your children out to play, remember: keep them off the roads, send them to a lost tomb. It's safer ;)

    Round 29

    Team Jones are doing so well, they're like really good at this. They deserve 10000 points... They won't be getting that though.

    Round 30

    Redack was busy so he ended the round late... Actually he bought new PC bits so he stuck them in and got busy testing it all out... So anyway, the usual stuff happened in game. People did things, secret things I can't post here so I end up having to make up random stuff to make it look important.

    Round 31

    Sorry about being so busy lately. I think my schedule is cleared up so we can get normal round times & mid-round updates back leading to the deadline now. if you plan to use all 5 actions, I advise you make sure you think what they are before hand. It seems the game locks you in at 3 unless you do all 5 at once.

    Round 32

    Team Jones continue in their attempts to solve the Water puzzle before time runs out & Redack fires them.

    Round 33

    Redack has fired both teams, they have failed to find the treasure in time!

    Epilogue

    News came over the radio that Redack, the charming and powerful British businessman, had fired both teams. Although Team Croft weren't around to hear the news, having gone to the local pub early on in their quest, everyone was devastated... When... Suddenly... Count Dooku stepped on a trap, sealing the tomb back up and trapping them for all eternity!

    Everything Else
    Ok so Xhin has censored up the sticky tool so everything is a total mess right now BUT it's all in working order at least so I'm just going to have to make do because I can't justify delaying the game any longer!
