game 30 signup thread

Anyone interested in hosting can say so below as well. An updated host priority list will be posted soon. And of course, reply if you're interested in joining the next game of mafia.

Am also going to use this thread to make a couple of announcements. First, Apollo and I had been working on a total revamp of the rules document around the beginning of the last game, however school beginning for the both of us has been a huge drain on the amount of time we can devote to it. With the upcoming week not being so bad for me, I'll try to add finishing touches to the revamped rules and will make a thread for it, likely in the middle of the next game. Any changes to existing rules or new rules made will not be in effect until after the end of Game 30. I honestly don't think it will be so bad, and there will be a discussion thread so we can work out any changes that should be made as well.

As for Roxas's game's points, if it hasn't looked like he has anything done for points or if nothing has been posted by the end of the weekend, I'll assign the points that were won by the winning team and survival points. Determining good play points might be a little hard at this point since the game was so far back, but if you have any recommendations for good playing points in that game from what you remember, feel free to post suggestions in the Game Over thread for that game: [p:90961]

Well, we're executive hosts and it doesn't look like anyone else is interested in hosting. Executive hosts aren't on the normal hosting roster since typically we step in when others are unwilling or unable to host.

Hindenburg is on a one-game suspension due to his behavior in the last games (receiving negative points.) In the future, anyone receiving negative points in a game will also be unable to sign up for the following game.

It wasn't something that was considered until around the time of that post (if you want to be exact, it was actually being discussed before Hindenburg signed up.) It was clearly a problem based on feedback from players and hosts and it needed addressing. I'm sorry for the lost minute and three seconds he lost from signing up, though. I'll compensate for it in the next game by auto-signing him up for Game 31 if he'd like.

Also, I wasn't around at the time of the OP and it was something to be discussed by both hosts. Not really a call Majora could have made on his own without backlash.

In addition, it is currently a rule that a person will be suspended from Mafia for a month if they fall into negative points. It's effectively a less-harsh addendum to that rule - if a player receives negative points in a game, they will be suspended from the next game.
