game 32 day 3 we grew old together

Posted December 5, 2014 by Speed Bike Pro

pit, pat, pit, pat

Even with the early morning as rainy as it was on this day, CtR Black insisted that he go out for his daily run. After some solid cardio, he arrived back at his Porbstonia home, eager to see his Lover's face again.

But something seemed amiss.

The front door was slightly ajar, the window curtains seemed to be knocked down. Just as CtR Black was examining the front of the house, he heard the back door slam and caught a glimpse of the shady silhouette of a person escaping through the back yard.

"Hey, stop! Thief! Get bac-... Someone stop him or her!"

Before giving chase, CtR Black knew that what was inside the house was much more urgent so he pushed open the door and was immediately greeted by pools of blood on the floor leading to the master bedroom. He could hear a voice faintly calling for him... A very weak voice...

"B-... Black...?"

"Bandit..!!!"

CtR Black rushed down the hallway and threw open the door to the bedroom he shared with his Lover, The Bandit. And there he laid, crumpled on the floor after clearly being on the losing end of a struggle with his assailant. His breaths came out as painful wheezes, his hand was held over his bloody stomach. He did not seem to be meant for this mortal plane much longer.

CtR Black rushed to his companion's side and fell to his knees.

"Bandit... They got you too...? I... I shouldn't have let this happen, I shouldn't have gone for that run, I'm so stup-"

Just then, even in his final hour, The Bandit somehow mustered the strength to reach a single finger up to CtR Black's mouth and hush him.

"N-no... This is n-not your fault.. *cough* Do not blame yourself..."

Tears were welling up in CtR Black's eyes faster than he could control, they were already rolling down his cheeks. For a brief moment, there was nothing but utter silence in the room as the pair spent one last night together. Finally, CtR Black spoke.

"What can I do?" he said.

"Take me there... To the life we had planned..."

Fighting against his tears, CtR Black managed a smile at his partner's final request. He took The Bandit's head in his arms and lightly cradled him.

"Well, there's this beautiful hill back home in Frustroville. The view is perfect, right; you get to see the crystal-clear lake on one side, the flower meadows on another, and it's just far enough away from the rest of the town that you can lay out in the grass at night and practically count all the stars in the sky!"

"Th-there have to be millions, I don't... I don't know how you could do it, h-haha..." The Bandit wheezed again, this time blood spittle stained CtR Black's arms.

"Trust me, nights seem to go on for days. That hill was where we were gonna build the house for our family. Our kids were gonna play in the fields and swim in the lake as much as they wanted. Haha, I would have killed for that when I was a kid..."

"A-and our children... Tell me what their names were going to be again..."

CtR Black couldn't contain himself any longer and began sobbing, his tears dripping uselessly onto his wounded lover.

"A boy and a girl... We were gonna name them Ghowilo and Castrael, after my parents. Just the way you wanted it!!!"

It was then that CtR Black saw something he never expected to see. The corners of Bandit's mouth slowly bent upwards and a weak smile stretched across his face even as all seemed lost.

"I did a-always love those names... *cough*... You would have made a great father, Black..."

"You too, Bandit..."

The wheezing stopped, yet CtR Black's tears continued for an unknown amount of time afterwards. All that remained in the bedroom besides the two Lovers was utter silence.

CtR Black was never seen again.

Elsewhere in Porbstonia, a Treestump had finally blossomed into a mighty Tree. Lightvayne's beautiful leaves stood out as a symbol of strength and perseverance against the harsh winter chill. However, it seems something had been carved into his bark overnight...

GUILTY

-------

Players:
Lightvayne - Tree
Chaos Incarnate
Jo Nathan
CtR Black - Lover
Xhin
hezekiah - Townie
Pirate_Ninja
The Bandit - Lover
Black Yoshi
EvilGuy0613
white lancer
Lady Flare
chiefsonny
Roxas
Hindenburg
Kyon

Ratio:
8-5

Roles:
Public Investigator, Double Agent, Town Crier, Sheriff, Tree, Townies x3
Godfather, Assassin, Hooker, Silencer, Mafioso

HOST NOTE

Lightvayne has turned into a Tree. This means he is still alive but he cannot be killed under any circumstances nor can he vote. Though the ratio is 8-5, it is actually 7-5 for all intents and purposes. That being said, the round will end in 72 hours or after 8 votes for the same option.

The Bandit of Porbstonia is many things... but he is no coward.

Well this is unfortunate. Lightvayne is sure to die from an Assassin kill which also sucks. This game might be over soon at this rate.

The Tree cannot be killed.

The story about the two lovers above almost made me cry.

Very good{y}

This is the most beautiful mafia post ever. {:(}

N-No... There's just... Something in my eye, is all... I... I think I left something in my room...

Life's path is never straight.

Curious about something, Flare, why the vote for me last round?

December 6, 2014
`Roxas`

Like I said, I didn't want to NoKill again. My guess is that at least one of the Day 1 NoKill votes was made by a Mafia member. Hez was killed by Night 1. That left Bandit, Black Yoshi and Roxas. So I picked you albeit a little randomly. However you seem a little more active this game. For you, that could be indicative of your guilt. And one thing we do know is that the Public Investigator hit a Mafia last night. I'm not saying they should come forward but at least they are on the right track.

I'm not going to vote until more people say something with the ratio so close.

Lady Flare

SORRY I'M HERE

Anyway, usually it's around this point in the game that things start to stick out to me (even if they're so insignificant that I fail to pay attention to them), but this time I have...nothing.

Black Yoshi

Reminder that the tree can not vote, so we are basically down 7-5.

The mafia will surely kill someone next round, making it 6-5.

They will also more than likely silence someone, preventing them from voting. Which will leave us at 5-5 to next round.

So guys. This is basically our last chance. May as well put our heads together based on what we have and see if we can come up with something. But for now

December 6, 2014
Chaos Incarnate

Yeah...I think the Public Investigator should reveal this round, due to the math Chaos posted. There isn't much to go on so far this game and that Guilty verdict is the only way to give us a sure shot at surviving this round.

sooooooooo...you're going to point out that the town's back may well be against the wall, then cast a random vote "for now"?

that seems like a terrible idea for anyone sided with the town (shifty)

December 7, 2014
Pirate_Ninja

that seems like a terrible idea for anyone sided with the town

I think that at this point a random kill would be better than none at all. Hence why I said "but for now". The same could said for the mafia, as I can't imagine it being in their best interest for the town to be aware of this.

Also, I just really have nothing to add. I don't think anyone does.

Chaos Incarnate

We haven't heard from Xhin or Evilguy yet this round. One of them must be silenced and the other is being inactive.

December 7, 2014
Lady Flare

I'm neither....just don't really have much to add that hasn't already been said.

I suppose if nobody is going to come forward with anything we should either vote and hope for the best or just no kill it hoping someone comes forward with information the next day round....otherwise I got nothing.

EvilGuy0613

The ratio is 7:5. If we NoKill or kill a Townie, the game could end tonight. I think we should come to a consensus to kill someone today. Why bother playing at all if we let the Mafia do all the killing. With that said I'm going to cast my vote.

December 7, 2014
Lady Flare

Why Roxas?

Is the public investigator inactive or have they just been investigating dead people?

Actually I'm not sure how that role works exactly...

Why Roxas?

Good question. Especially since she's voted for him 2 rounds in a row.

Is this a personal thing LF or do you know something we don't?

You're right. We are between a rock and a hard place. But if we lynch a townie, we really have sealed our fate.

December 7, 2014

Nothing personal against Roxas. If someone gives another option, I'm listening.

December 7, 2014
Lady Flare

so...it appears that nobody's silenced today? I don't think there's all that much reason for the mafia to pass up on the opportunity (there's no Tracker or Watcher or anything to avoid), so the Silencer might be someone relatively inactive (enough to miss the night round, at least).

I think that at this point a random kill would be better than none at all. Hence why I said "but for now". The same could said for the mafia, as I can't imagine it being in their best interest for the town to be aware of this.
I agree that a No Kill would be a mistake, but casting a random ballot - even a temporary one - leaves a bad taste in my mouth. More than half the round remained to actually try and reason something out, and voting at random seems to favor the mafia if anything. You're statistically more likely to pick an innocent player, and with low vote counts it wouldn't take much "convincing" to cause a fatal mislynch. And again, this is after acknowledging that the voting ratio is dangerously close. It's not exactly the most damning of actions, but as far as this relatively mellow game has gone it's the most suspicious thing I've seen.

Also, I just really have nothing to add. I don't think anyone does.
since we can see that no one is silenced this round, that can't possibly be accurate. I think you're deflecting too much in an effort to hide that, and unless someone can offer a more convincing option I'm willing to do this.

Pirate_Ninja

Actually, I now suspect that our beautiful tree has been silenced. Lightvayne did say during the night round that he had information to pass along. If he suspected to be killed (or turn into a tree) he could have passed it along last night. But he didn't. Clever ploy to get the Mafia to target him when doing so would maybe stop a night kill.

Lady Flare

I actually saw Chaos' post last night but couldn't actually say anything until now since I was babysitting last night. P_N brings up a good point -- random-voting at this point, even temporarily, could easily cost us the game. Therefore:

I think we're drawing a lot of conclusions out of nothing. We're not going to get anywhere by losing two townies.

Sky's the limit

That said, I'm not going to vote against you guys because it's better if we have a kill than do nothing this round. Maybe I'm wrong.

December 8, 2014
Xhin
Sky's the limit

It bothers me that we have 2 people voting to lynch someone because they did a random vote and said they would change the vote if someone came up with something better.

If we're wrong and lynch a townie and the Mafia takes out 2. Well you do the math.

I won't be part of a bandwagon. I'm going to go back and read the post again.

I'm not sure who to vote for, but I don't feel comfortable voting for any of the current options with votes on them, so...

December 8, 2014
`Roxas`

half-true. The vote only made me question him - no vote was cast. It was his response to that questioning that raised my suspicions enough to actually put in a vote.

December 8, 2014
Pirate_Ninja

I will do this to help keep things a bit less scary for me since I have one vote for some reason.

For the record Lady Flare and chiefsonny have been striking me as suspicious.

Hello FRIENDS, host intervention here. The round is scheduled to end at 10:12 am EST but I may postpone it for a few hours because I just worked 17 hours and am now going to sleep, which means the basis of the game built on communication through the host was hindered for nearly an entire IRL day. pls understand...

Well, I know that anything is better than voting for me at this point. I've already made my case about the random voting.

Well, I know that anything is better than voting for me at this point.

If you're just a vanilla townie then voting for a power role is worse..
