Pirate_Ninja and EvilGuy0613 sat together around a small bonfire as Roxas cut off some chunks of wood from the friendly Porbstonia Tree, Lightvayne, nearby. He certainly didn't mind providing a little tinder for his pals to keep them warm on this brisk winter morning! After collecting a few nice pieces, Black Yoshi tossed them into the bonfire and sat down next to the other two as the flames snapped and roared towards the sky.

"Hey, you guys wanna hear a spooky story while we're sitting 'round out here?" he asked.

Pirate_Ninja nodded quietly and pulled his blanket tighter around himself while EvilGuy0613 sipped from his mug of hot cocoa. With a small cough to clear his throat, Roxas dove right in to his tale.

"Well, it was a night just like last night. A regular ol' night, you see, one as normal as the rest. There were these two Townies, I can't remember their names... err, let's just say Lady Flame and white lancelot for the sake of the story. Anyways, these two folks were walking home after the annual Porbstonia Hoedown at old man Marvalo's barn when suddenly, they heard some footsteps behind them!"

EvilGuy0613's eyes began to widen, so entranced by the story that he forgot he wasn't slurping from his cocoa any longer.

"Lady Flame turned around to see who it was but all she saw was... nothing. white lancelot reassured her that it was just the wind so they kept walking. Well sure enough, they heard them again. The footsteps behind them, just constantly tapping against the cold ground. Lady Flame turned around again but still nothing. She was getting scared so white lancelot told her they could just stop by their good friend Hindenburger's cabin and stay there for the night.

"And so they followed the long cobble pathway down to Hindenburger's front door. white lancelot knocked but there was no answer. He tried opening the door but it was locked. 'Look!', shouted Lady Flame. 'The windows are boarded up!' Sure enough, white lancelot glanced over and every window adorning the front wall of the house was boarded up with planks. Suddenly, the footsteps started tapping again and Lady Flame began to panic. Thinking fast, white lancelot kicked the front door down and hurried Lady Flame inside before slamming it shut. The footsteps went silent.

"The inside of the cabin was pitch black, a foul odor was thick in the still air. white lancelot reached into his back pocket to fetch his box of matches and struck one, causing a small orange glow to light up the home. Instantly, white lancelot and Lady Flame knew what was causing the smell... Dead animals were littered around the residence, their guts carved open and their entrails laying in heaps on the floor. Lady Flame tried to turn and run back for the door but she tripped over something. She looked over to see what caused her fall: a human skull.

"Just as white lancelot reached down to try to help her up, a sudden breath of air blew out his match, filling the cabin with blackness again. The fooststeps started again except this time, they were much closer... They were inside the cabin. And they were coming towards the two at a rapid pace. Lady Flame started screaming in sheer horror as white lancelot fumbled with his matchbox, trying desperately to strike another. For those few seconds, all he could hear was the screams and the footsteps. Finally, he struck the match just right and it lit up the room again.

"But just as he did that, the screaming stopped. The footsteps stopped. Lady Flame was just... gone. Whereas moments before, she was laying just nearby on the floor, now she was gone. white lancelot waved his match around to try to find her in the musty cabin but she seemingly disappeared in an instant. The match was running out though and he felt the warmth of the flame as it approached his fingers and then, after a few more seconds, it expired. Total darkness again. Total silence.

"And then the footsteps started again. This time, they were running towards white lancelot. With nowhere else to go, he started stumbling backwards, hoping to bump into the door and get back outside but he slammed against the wall instead. The footsteps stopped... Am I safe?, he thought to himself. He reached for the wall behind him to perhaps find a light switch but then he realized...

This isn't a wall.

It's... a person.

"Just as he realized that, two arms shot out, one wrapping around his mouth and the other around his torso, and he was pulled into the pitch black darkness of the abandoned cabin. Neither he nor Lady Flame were found ever again. Pretty spooky stuff, huh?"

Pirate_Ninja nodded again and next to him, EvilGuy0613 had wrapped himself up into a fetal position during the story.

"Yeah right, there's no way two people could die in a single night!" he said. "It was scary but there's no way that story is true!"

Roxas smirked and then responded.

"Oh, it's possible... That's the old story of the Porbstonia Assassin."

As the friends all sat around their fire, no one seemed to notice that Roxas had inadvertently cut a very strange pattern into Lightvayne's bark while fetching fire wood...
