ideally, you could collect the names of other town power roles and further narrow down the field of suspects. You can also pass the names attached to my results to the Town Crier, so long as we don't get interrupted by the Hooker, Silencer, and nightkill. With those three chances to mess with us nightly, this could go south quickly - so the sooner we can share any information we do have, the better.

hmm...given that and the rest of the eventful day round (I mean, I expected some slowness from the holiday but jeez) I might as well make good on that dream and investigate Roxas tonight.

Gotcha, thanks. Checking Roxas tonight, since he showed up for the day round and you didn't get responses from everyone - someone who checked on the game is somewhat less likely to be a town role who didn't respond to you.

thinkin' it over. Question in the meantime about the way the Double Agent works - he can send messages to town/mafia roles, and people can respond to his messages. But I can't initiate the contact in sending a message to the DA, can I?

it'd be handy to be wrong about that, but it sounds like that would be the case so I thought it'd be a good idea to check

that's what I expected, which is why I was hoping to receive a message so I could get word out early in case I end up silenced or something. Rather unfortunate that some of the other town roles haven't identified themselves privately...though I guess that in itself could potentially help identify them?

I was hookered and couldn't talk to you until just now. Town crier is being an ass - I'm assuming it's Hindenburg but I could be wrong. No word from the Sheriff yet. Let me know who you investigated and I'll pass the info off to the crier to reveal to the town. Kthnx luv u

Chaos Incarnate is GUILTY - though we might want to not announce that until a few more people (hopefully) post.

I was thinking the Crier might be either Kyon or Hindy (especially after the Night 2 message), and was really hoping the person behind the tears would fill you in...but at least tonight wasn't wasted. Oh, and just for the record, the innocent verdict from my first check was for Roxas - I didn't change targets after telling you what I had in mind.

...you didn't confirm either way, but you delivered that response by now, right?

if you somehow overlooked it and never sent that, I'd like to tack on:

if the Crier is silenced, we're stuck with no way to anonymously reveal without being at risk of a double kill by Assassin - unless we try claiming each other's roles, maybe? Not necessarily you and I, but any town role you can speak to. If someone else claimed PI with my verdict, an attempt to assassinate them would fail (they could still be nightkilled, but at least it's only the one person lost). Certainly not foolproof, but it could help.


...otherwise, if I'm unable to reach him at the moment...

I had whispered to Lightvayne instead but was late to send one to the crier because it didn't occur to me that Lightvayne might be silenced. Apologies.

I'll be rather surprised if I'm alive tomorrow...but the good news is that with the Hooker gone I believe tonight's investigation goes through even if I die. So I'll let you know ahead of time that I'm checking Kyon tonight...and if you get the chance I'd pass that on to someone else before the night round ends in case you're silenced or something.

and yeah, it's helpful if you have the last word in our conversations because only you can initiate them. If things looked too bad today I was going to (indirectly?) claim Double Agent so people wouldn't think it was just speculation, but things worked out all right. The main problem with giving me an investigative role is that people don't listen to me...

Gossip time!

That was a close call, especially without me being able to post... but that worked out well. Shall we do the same thing again? Let me know who you're investigating and I'll pass the info along to our crier and tree (although I don't think Lightvayne is checking his thread anymore). And I would not be surprised if either you or myself or both end up dead tomorrow :/

assuming that the town still has a shot tomorrow, there are only a handful of choices left so I can't do tons more anyway. If Hindy is the Crier (which I really wish we could confirm but it seems likely), that leaves chief, Xhin, and EvilGuy. Roxas checked innocent so he's either Godfather or legit...so, ironically, I think it'd actually tell us more if my check tonight comes up innocent - in that case I'd be cautiously optimistic about saying the other two of those three are the Silencer and Assassin.

that said, I'll check Xhin tonight. Hopefully we still have a Sheriff tomorrow - if we can get rid of the Assassin he'll be able to fire freely.
