I just have one. How does one single Mafioso get the ability to create its team? If that makes sense. It's very interesting.

Every night the Mafioso tries to recruit somebody. If they're a Mafia-in-Waiting, they become a mafia role. The person the Mafioso targeted N0 was a MiW, so they became a Ballot Forger. Next MiW that gets targeted will become an Hooker. The one after that becomes a Ninja, and so on.

It's a separate ability from the mafia's kill every night.

If the recruiter dies, someone else takes there place. If there are other "known" mafia, it'll be the first recruited of them. So if the Mafioso died right now, the Ballot Forger would take over his job of recruiting (as well as still being Ballot Forger).

If the recruiter's death means there are no "known" mafia, I'll randomly pick one of the Mafia-in-Waiting to become a Mafioso and take over as recruiter.

This is kinda what I was talking about earlier--there's actually no reason to think that the people who voted for CtR are innocent or not. Killing him doesn't actually give the Town any more information since he was basically voted out at random. It's obviously good for the Town that he's gone, but it's helpfulness is limited.

No, it wasn't an option. I was just being cheeky.

I tried to design this game such that the town would be motivated to lynch early and often. While you can't necessarily get very much information about other players from any given lynch, random targeting has better odds than normal of hitting a baddie.

I think what is hurting the Mafia Game is starting new games to soon after one has ended.

I don't mean the time between games 34 and 35, that needed to be done.

But there was only 4 days between the time 33 ended and the sign-up thread for 34 wast posted.

People are getting burnt out. After this game is over we need to wait a few weeks b4 starting another game.

As it stands they'll be recruiting a Hooker tonight, so that'll make it 3 full members and 2 waiting. But yes, it'll require a big enough revealed mafia team to force a tie before I call the game.

Yeah...seemed likely they had chosen two Mafia-in-waiting last night, so I expected a recruitment tonight. Or (as I probably would have advocated in the Mafia thread), they selected one of the two of them as a possible target so that they could remove the randomness and actually get the target they wanted dead.

I really have no idea on the Psychiatrist...it's not something I've given a ton of thought.

I don't really blame the Town for not figuring the game out well...there really is a dearth of information in general this game. Granted, I haven't been paying all that much attention, but it's been fairly quiet and they haven't even hit a member of the Mafia proper yet.

Also the Town needs to be very, very careful with the Ballot Forger around. If the Mafia find their last hidden teammate, the Forger could essentially end the game right there.

I don't think the last Mafia is Count Dooku. I'm pretty sure its Frustro and Chaos.

And I think the ballot forger only changes the vote if the person they pick actually casts a vote in the round. If they don't, then there's no vote towards whoever the ballot forger wanted to change it to.

If the mafia were smart they could win today. There would be 4 townies voting for helius, helius and the other pr mafia could vote for someone, have the undiscovered mafia join them, change a townies vote, and force a tie. Then all of the mafia are revealed but wait, night kill brings it down to 3-3 mafia wins.

Or perhaps the doctor saves the target, in that case it's still 3-4 but now the mafia has another power role. Rinse and repeat.

I have a feeling Chaos Incarnate is a townie. And I don't think the town can count on his vote this late in the game.
