Game 37 - in Vela

The citizens awake to find themselves their first victim in the middle of the Town's square. They locate Speed Bike Pro's ID, but no where to be found. Just who was he? The town decides to discuss in the Town's Square's who might have killed Speed Bike Pro.

The Roles 
Mafia 
1. Mafia Investigator: Selects one person each night and learns that player's role. 
2. Godfather: Shows up as Innocent to Cops/other alignment detectors. Holds tie-breaking power in the case of a Mafia voting tie. 
3. Distracted Janitor – 3 Hides: Selects one person during the night. If that person is Night killed, their role will be revealed to the Mafia and hidden from the rest of the town. The player cannot use their power on the same person two nights in a row.

Town 
1. Lawyer: Can select one person to defend each night, preventing their target from being lynched during the next day round. 
2. Gunsmith: Can give a gun to a player of their choosing every night. The gun may be then used to kill someone during the following day round. The gun typically expires at the end of the day round. The Gunsmith is always Selfless. 
3. Virgin: If lynched during the day, all night kills the following night are blocked. 
4. Cop: Chooses one person to investigate each night. Receives a Guilty or Innocent verdict on that person. 
5. Townies x 6

1. Vote Locking will be on. Vote locking is when a person is not allowed to change their vote once it is cast for that round. 
2. Night talk will be on. Night Talk is the ability for users to discuss the game in the main thread during a night round.

You have 48 hours ten votes to end the round.

I think we can assume that Speed was a Townie and one on our Power roles since they hide his body.

With hardly anyone talking, we have nothing to go on unless we go back and look at they way they normally play and I don't have the time to do that now. I'll have 14-16 people at my digs tomorrow so if things continue this way I'm going to random vote or pick names out of a hat. I will not No Kill 3 days in a row.

I think we can assume that Speed was a Townie and one on our Power roles since they hide his body.

I don't understand this assumption. It seems to me that the Mafia would probably hide his body no matter his role, if they even knew his role at all.

But I do agree that No Killing this round seems bad. I'd rather not random vote if we can help it, though. Considering it's Independence Day tomorrow in the States, it might be worth considering extending the round since I expect a lot of us won't be around.

Also...did Feral look particularly suspicious to anyone? Seems an odd choice for a Gunsmith target. I guess he was pointing fingers at people for not being active, but it feels like a shot in the dark.

So as the round currently stands we've lost three town members and Ghowilo wasted his vote and you're all being really quiet because it's 4th July. Not much to go on here :/

Now that I'm back from the endless celebration that was my Fourth of July (parade in the morning, party in the afternoon, band concert in the evening/night), I can actually post some thoughts.

For obvious reasons (see: Fourth of July), this game hasn't been as active from the get-go as some of the previous games I've been in, but plenty has still happened; it's just taken longer for it to happen.

First off, Speed's kill. Yes, he's always been a good player at this game, but he's usually never killed this early in the game. The Janitor hide makes this especially troubling...even though chances are greater he was a Townie, with the ratio of Town power roles to known living Townies is 4-5, chances are very nearly as great that he was a power role.

Feral's kill. Feral seemed to me to be playing somewhat aggressively this game, but then again, he's been absent for so long, I've largely forgotten how he normally plays, so I can't make any judgment here.

I'll have to go back and read previous rounds to see if I can glean anything more.

There is a Mafia Investigator this game. So it is possible for the Mafia to know one of our power roles on the first Night and kill him on the second. They could also be messing with us, making us think he was a power role. Either way, we will have to be very careful of any Cop results.

Cas: was Kaotic a Townie? Since he was host killed, it should be revealed to the Town.

TBH Ghowilo doesn't even have a reason for voting for chief. It's kind of against my nature to just vote for him knowing his ways of playing, but I think this may be for the best. At the very least it evens it out so we don't get a senseless kill.

At first this sounds like good advice. But I've been thinking it over more carefully and it isn't sitting as well. We don't know if Speed was the Cop or not. Depending upon the Night Priotity, we may be able to determine if he was the Gunsmith on not. Cas what is the Night Priority? Does the Gunsmith give out his gun before or after the Mafia Kill? Anyway, the Mafia can hide bodies making it hard to determine if the Cop is even alive to share results. And if the Virgin sits around twiddling her fingers waiting for a Dead Cop to share his results, the Mafia buys itself time to kill her and doesn't lose another Night Kill. This is just thinking out loud.

My suspicion list is:
The AI, Dooku, and hez

Unsure
White lancer (he can be helpful to the town but still be Mafia)
Redack (I'm leaning toward Town, but when he lives past Night 1, he's suspicious)
Black Yoshi is another hard one for me to tell.

Least suspicious
Ghowilo, Chaos, EvilGuy

Anyway, I think the Town should pull the plug on the AI tomorrow unless things change. And this isn't a counter accusation. I was suspicious of him before he made his post about me. Meanwhile...
