You're a cop, but not just any cop...! You're the Bumbling Cop!!! Okay, that's not a great thing really.

You're a cop, which is cool and there's two protection roles in the game which is super cool, but you have three weaknesses (not so cool now):

  • You must put in your investigation during the Day round. You will get the result at the beginning of the next Day round.

  • The Kingpin will know everyone you've investigated.

  • Once per game, a Kingpin can make your result come back wrong.

    Since it's the day round, why not investigate someone?

    Recommended strategy: Sometime before 7pm March 17th EST

    I think Jo Nathan is The Trees based on that little comment he said, I've talked to him a lot these past few months and I dunno that sentence alone strikes me as the way he talks... Not that it helps me work out what role he has XD

    Dooku could be Cinderella Man. Again need to see more to know for sure.

    Xanadu is maybe Ghowilo, he says yall a lot... But so do a lot of Americans on the site so at this point this is more a note than a real guess.

    Farewell to Kings is definitely Helius or Ghowilo because of the binary. Unless someone is deliberately trying to throw me off!

    The others I have see post I am unsure on right now...

    First off, there's only been one round so far so how do you get "last few"?

    Second, I got my action in pretty early in the first day of the round so I am not sure why you are posting this :/

    May seem like a waste, but because the Kingpin knows who I investigate this will throw them off the scent of Anthem being the cop... Because why would the cop check on the cop?

    I mean, there's still a chance they try to kill me thinking I am some other power role or just a threat.

    Although I am starting to think I might be better just role claiming considering there are two protector roles... Eh, we'll go with this for another couple rounds then reveal what I know. I always hated those games where the cop reveals at the start and just hands out the answers!

    Think I'll hold off on the reveal until I have something to reveal. Gonna play a bit of a risky game and gamble, with luck the Mafia will fall for my ploy and ignore me as a potential cop (although there is still the risk they go after me for potentially being something else).

    If it works out, I can reveal in a few rounds with my list and just remind everyone that at least one entry on the list could be fake.

    And if the town tries to go after me I can always reveal early.

    But if I save it, then the guard & doc won't focus on protecting me. I feel they're more useful randomly protecting two people (or themselves) than they are both focusing on me uncoordinated.

    I almost feel like it would be wiser for the mafia to not beat someone up every night because it's narrowing the pool of possible guilty players.


    I had a similar thought, but I chose not to post it in the thread for a reason. I find behaviour like this suspicious, it's almost like sometimes people feel they need to post all thoughts because they think it'll make them look innocent. I certainly find this more suspicious than YYZ's behaviour (who is likely to be Ghowilo) which means Xandu is Helium.

    Anyway! I am changing my investigation to: Fly By Night

    For the reasons outlined above!

    Disappointing.

    The more I think about it the more I wonder if Cinderella Man is mafia.

    I guess it depends what role Fly By Night is, if they're just Mafioso then it makes sense that the mafia might choose not to waste their ability on him... But if he is something else then it means they used it on Cinderella Man and had no one left to use it on.

    I wonder if our Cop is inactive, or if they just don't think they have enough good info to come forward yet. Would be nice to get a little more information sometime. But I guess we're not in desperation mode yet.

    I'm pretty certain they already used that power. There's no way they'd let me find two mafia and I can't imagine they would waste the power on making someone look guilty.

    Also my time left alive in this game is not very limited. The mafia can target two people each night, one for kill and one for beat up. If security guard protects me, I can avoid death for the night, but they can beat him up and then he dies shortly there after. And then without protection I will follow.

    I had hoped our doctor would survive, but it seems the Mafia got as lucky with their kill as I have with my results.
