Welcome, ghosts and/or ghouls.

This dead thread works a bit differently...

  • Each day round you can make a prediction about what will happen during the night round.

  • Each night round you can make a prediction about what will happen during the day round.

    If you're right (and the prediction isn't something that's obvious), you earn 1 Ectoplasm.

  • If you earn 5 Ectoplasms, you get to send a message to the town, provided that there's nothing game-revealing in it. This is true for each time you hit 5 ectoplasms (might hit more than one if the game continues for long enough).

    It'll be an interesting game, either way. I played out some scenarios which is why I toned down the Security Guard and pumped up the Mafia some more.

    It is going to be confusing figuring out who's who now, but I kind of like that. It'll make it challenging.

    The first day round/night round makes it hard to guess. ;_;

    Aye, finished my short story for class and almost completely forgot about this game. haha.

    Anyways

    @YYZ:
    Xanadu is confirmed innocent.
    I'm guessing he will be targeted.

    I don't want my status as confirmed innocent to sway a lot of people's opinions, but the only one I find suspicious so far is The Trees. Pretty quick to jump on YYZ for something small.


    I think Xanadu is mafia for making The Trees so suspicious early on. But, that's just a guess.

    productivity grinds to a halt as sales of antidepressants skyrocket

    barring any thrilling overnight surprises that draw attention away, Cinderella Man will probably have a rough day because of that post of his that questioned the case against me while offering what sounded like halfhearted support...and wasn't followed by a vote

    I did. I guess it just didn't stick out to me the second time because I had already been beaten up once and was used to the red text.

    I'm sort of glad that I didn't notice it until it was too late to do anything rather than noticing it really late in the round. I made such a point that the SG should reveal because no one had been beaten up, and if I just showed up with a few hours left saying "Oh hey protect ME tonight" the Town may have gotten suspicious and changed their vote off of 2112.

    Disappointing that I made such a dumb mistake, but oh well.

    It's time for a role reveal. 4 mafia and only 4 townies left + a Cop that hopefully can clear a few townies. Should be an easy win. Though given how hard people have been against a, imo, very simple and obvious SG reveal I doubt they'll head in that direction.

    it's felt like just a matter of time, given the horde of innocents we started with and the presence of the security guard. Two protectors without restrictions, one of whom cripples a mafia member if they block an attack. Ugh.

    Yeah, I agree. This game is heavily stacked in the Town's favor. Just one SG (POSSIBLY give him one bullet proof vest?) and no Doc would have been much more balanced.

    I appreciate what Xhin was trying to do. Potentially two night kills should keep the Town very wary, but as it stands I never felt threatened at all of that becoming a possibility. It's just too hard to take out both Doctors. The Enforcer actually became somewhat of a liability for the mafia because it let us start checking off potential names (which is why he cleverly started rebeating people up).

    I think the town needs to go after those accusing The Trees still. I mean, I was the first to go after him, but this is getting ridiculous. There's no case for him being Mafia any more.

    Also I feel like altering the rules randomly for the dead game so that you can guess for the current round rather than the one in advance... anyone have a problem with that? It's not like you can see what happens at night during the night round anyway, and the day round is hardly set in stone.

    Yeah it's always hard to balance new untested game mechanics. At the start, it seemed like it was too heavily in the mafia's favor. Still, I think the mafia has a chance to pull out of this, but it's going to take some serious luck.
