Mafia

As Yeano said, I'm going to be hosting the next mafia game.

Game 9 will change a couple things up drastically. The win condition will be different, but will make the game much more interesting. The game will also be much longer, which is why I'm making the sign-up post now.

I don't want to spoil anything, but what I will say is that there will be no third-party roles. It will be Mafia VS Town. The role list will also be simpler because balance is very important to the new game mechanic.

What I know for certain is that there will be a Cop, Doctor, Godfather, and a Mafia Investigator. There will not be a Thug and there probably won't be a Janitor or a Silencer. I'm not sure what the other roles will be, and I might add some to balance out the game a bit.

There won't be any annoying roles like the Voodoo Lady or Fool. This is also (plus the length of the game) why I'm considering not adding the Silencer. I don't want to leave anything up to chance, so if there is a killing role, it will be the Vigilante rather than the Arsonist.

The game will simultaneously feel a lot freer and a lot more confusing (the new mechanic will be easy to understand, but will have consequences that affect every decision).

The main reason for the new mechanic is to fix a couple of the flaws with the game, both of which revolve around when and how the game becomes boring.

One thing unrelated to the Mechanic is that instead of a Graveyard thread, Dead players will be able to talk and theorize in the main mafia thread (although they obviously won't be able to vote). This is done mostly because the game will be pretty long compared to other Mafia games. I'd also like to allow talking during the Night rounds. For these two reasons, there'll be a lot more new mafia posts made, rather than just one per round.

I still have some various balance issues to work out, but the length of Game 8 will be more than enough time to get everything ready.
