Francis got one of Xever's gryphons, but surely he'd have one of his own? Just needs explanation somewhere. Maybe in the section where he says he doesn't like leaving his city.
Make sure Myrddin being found surrounded by large amounts of gryphons is reflected in what the couriers say about him. Big plot point of Aety finding them and all.
Does Jadzia know Ryden's gryphon is named Leandro? Make sure it's consistent.
Same deal with Ryden knowing about Raptorlet.
The size of Ryden's Leandro is pretty nuts too in the description.
Honestly, the size of *all* of them are. Need to double check and make sure I'm going for something consistent here, not petting manes that are 12 ft up for example. Also how tall are horses generally?
Why can Aety break bad gryph loyalty, but Axeitvery can't? Just needs a better explanation in the section where axe is having trouble with the other gryphs. I'm thinking it's the mental barrier crossing -- if so, make sure the amount of Boundless Tree gryphs under Xever is identical to the amount that Aety converted.
It's unclear what role the Orlovs play with the gryphon supply. How was Xever able to attack multiple prides with the Orlovs missing? Wouldn't they just be chiefed by other gryphters? Do a general search for "Orlov" here -- they show up every time their compounds do.
Make sure AX is returning axis three gryphons for a good reason -- I think this may have been cut.
Keep track of gryphon count (and positions when Xever/AX claims them). There needs to be four with Francis's group though, or The Three plotline doesn't work.
Keep track of the amount of gryphons under Xever. I like the idea of it being thirteen (after one dies) -- him trying to keep track of twenty-six images simultaneously is good dramatic irony for the book as a whole -- the vignette where one dies should mention something like "seeing from twenty-six eyes wasn't any less confusing". This will require fixing the amount from Aety's perspective of course. Will need to do a batch search for both "fifteen" and "thirty" (and whatever the other key numbers are).
Track the gryphons/men that were Faeheim spies and got away from High Vastwood too.
I sure do hope 26 is the right number of gryphons left in 25-Y. That number represents both the life tree *and* the life tree chapter. This last reference happening right before chapter 26 is great timing as well.
Saddles/reins. Possible issues with tamed/untamed gryphons too (and that's harder to fix). Much better now that Raptorlet has one, but still needs work.
How does gryphon training/untamed ones work? A bunch of characters ride them and there seems to be no downside.
Also armoring -- I mention plate armor for both men and gryphons in one of the Kawan vignettes.
Gryphon speed is another weird thing -- Raptorlet is slower (unless panicked) because it's physically weak, but gryphons aren't flying in a traditional sense.
How does gryphon riding work? Heels, tugs on manes, etc. need to figure this out.
I should really make it clear that vertical travel rotates the gryphon to face the sky -- this happens in Kawan's POV when going towards the tearsun, but I don't think it does with Jadzia. Also in Kawan's case, it's probably due to the speed of it pushing him back. Though that would be true with Jadzia too. Also check references to verticality elsewhere (the wild ygg or going up from Low to High Vastwood). Might be easiest to just drop the Kawan mention and find some other way to talk about acceleration (also *this* never comes up again either, so maybe it's best to just cut that segment altogether).
22-N should explain how Nonaxe understands how to fly a gryphon. Unless it's already covered by Jadzia/Zoelle. Obviously I also need to know *how* to fly one at this point.
