A cooking engine where you can create your own ingredients and recipes / fixtures. There's a procedural base value to ingredients and a work function that dictates the final value.
The world is where you access various shops. Ingredients and basic fixtures are free, however the world is a navigation hell that changes each time you leave your base, and you start out with a rather limited inventory (and base inventory for that matter).
The world is some kind of grid -- maybe 6x6, that has your base and each building type randomly distributed around it every time you leave your base.
There are also a few "Signposts" that will give you a direction of all building types as a cardinal or diagonal.
Building Types
Grocer -- pick up ingredients
Patent Office -- register fixtures and recipes (the first one per outing is free, then the money cost accelerates).
Market -- sell products you've made for cold hard cash. For a bunch of money you can also open a Restaurant, which is stage 2 of this game and a bit harder because of limited storage.
Supplier -- pick up fixtures that you've registered for money.
Expander -- expand your inventory (for accelerating money) or buy storage containers of various size.
Constructor -- Expand your base, specifically by buying modules that you then place where you want.
Nursery -- pick up farming supplies. More on this in the farming section (it's a bit different).
