important game reset

With the issues involving the site domain, and the lack of explanation to start the game, I am considering resetting the game when the domain is back up. I would like input from this game's players and Yeano on the matter.

I'd prefer a game reset. Those blasted Mafia have an advantage right now anyway. {:P}

In all seriousness, I think it's only fair to start fresh. People will have lost their trains of thought by the time they find their way back, and who knows if everyone will even return in time?

I agree for a couple reasons.

1. To be fair to the host. They earned their points.
I would like to see all the host have a good problem free game as much as that is possible. MM9 imo should have another chance at hosting because of the problems he put up with.

2. The participation so far in this game has been very sub-par. Maybe with the domain problem fixed that will improve.

Just hope a restart does not reduce the number of players we have now and hope more will sign up.

It's up to you, Rox. I personally don't see any pressing need to restart, since it's not like any crucial info has changed hands, but if you want to I'm not going to complain too much.

I really don't think it is necessary - but let's see if the game is active again when the domain is back up. If not, the reset might be needed.

You violated your terms by blatantly revealing that you were violating your elsewhere-global ban under other names(such as LinkedIn Park). If it's any consolation, I DID get repremended by Yeano, Redack, and chief in the mod forum for accessing the restricted Mafia panel and doing Majora/Yeano's job. Had I still been alive, I would have been host killed. As is, I lost all points for that game.

Thunder, Trever and lancer are indifferent. Dooku, JN, chief and Feral wants a reset.

Essentially six-to-nothing vote (indifference would be counted as yes; Trever suggests waiting to see if activity picks back up) to reset the game.

It's your call. If you think there should be a restart, go for it.

On the other hand if you don't think the domain being down has hurt the present game, let's plow ahead.

I would suggest however, that if you're going for a restart, to do it before we get to far in this game.

After thinking about it some more, I think I'm indifferent. The technical difficulties did mess things up, but if activity does pick up, it would be nice to save this game. It does suck how the town couldn't lynch anyone though. IF we do keep going with the current game - and this is just a thought - would it make things more balanced if you just block all night actions tonight? Mafia kill, cop investigation, everything? Day 3 would be like a redo of Day 2, hopefully with more returning players.

I've already told the night actions they may perform, but if they tell me either through PM or in their respective threads that they wish to hold all actions on this night, I would end it immediately.

I have to cast my vote for the apathy side. Would a restart really boost activity back up? If the reason for the lackluster performance was because of the glitch, we might have to wait a bit before restarting so that EVERYONE is well aware that the site's working again.

It would be late this week or some time this weekend if the game is reset. I'll wait to see how Day Three goes. I am still leaning towards a reset though.
