This project pulls useful mechanics in from Saepes Mundi (which had in turn borrowed from junk Museum v1) and the Fractal Garden (its skeining mechanics largely). It's essentially still the same game with the same goals though.
Basic Stuff
Wander surreal landscapes, collecting items. More on this in the world section. Your inventory space is limited by your Marsupium stat.
You have a fixed amount of time that you can spend in a world, indicated by your "Umbilicus" stat. Additionally, you can only access worlds that you have the Liber (book) for. Unless you find a connection point, but you're still bound by Umbilicus time.
The other element of gameplay is curating a Junk Museum with the items you've collected. There are various mechanics here (more in that section), but better exhibits lead to upgrades such as improved umbilicus, scanning abilities and access to more Liber.
The world is subdivided into Liber, which form a large skein of some particular area. These areas are very definitely handcrafted, but the actual way they're put together is procgen, following Saepes Mundi logic.
Worlds can connect to other worlds. If you bring a special item to the connection point, it becomes the appropriate kind of liber. You can also buy these directly with money you make from the Junk Museum.
The actual skeins are pretty fractal and labyrinthine by design but this just ensures that you can find every single item they offer within. I want to build a LOT of content here.
