Basic Stuff

Yet another version of this. A bit more involved than previous versions, way easier procgen, but still the same basic concept.

  • The game is subdivided into a bunch of towns which have various perks, and also contain houses that you can loot Salvager style (you have to pay to buy them though).

  • Items are pulled from the trading game, and distributed in furniture in whatever way makes sense, and then in rooms that are skeined together. Pretty basic layouts here.

  • Towns have various shops where you can sell the things you've looted. There's always a general store with some terrible markdown on sold goods, and a few specialized stores that allow you to sell items for their full value.

  • You can go to other towns but it costs money. And again they'll have different pros and cons like this. Different towns will have different specialized shops however.

  • To get around this, you can pay quite a bit of money to get a specialized shop on a network so you can sell to it remotely. This service is available somewhere in each town and costs money to use each time, but it's cheaper than going back and forth.

  • Each town has a Quantgate which allows you to travel to a realm known as Quant. More on that in its own section.

  • There are hunger and sleep mechanics. It costs money to refill these stats, which tick down as you do various actions. They have some pretty bad status effects, eventually culminating in a stint in Quant in the service of Kaos, though you can also pick this option manually if you're too annoyed.
