Seeing as Xhin still needs more time to work on NIFE, Apollo and I will be hosting a minigame in the meantime. If you're interested in playing, say so in a reply to this thread.

The minigame will have slightly different rules than normal games to speed up the process:

  • Day rounds will have a 24 hour limit.
  • Night rounds will be 24 hours or more depending on the length of the Day Round.
  • "Hammer Voting" will be on, meaning that immediately after a player has over 50% of the max votes in a Day Round, they will be lynched and the day will end.
  • The combined Day and Night rounds will be 48 hours. No more, no less. If the day is ended early by reaching a majority vote, the Night Round will be extended to make up for the time, allowing players time to catch up on what they may have missed.
  • Out Of Game (OOG) communication will not be allowed.
  • Night Talk will be on.

    We're hoping that with these modifications to the normal rules we'll have a game that is quick and still manageable to follow by people who have relatively busy schedules.

    Oh you updated the rules since I last looked at them. I might be mistaken, but the description for hammer voting was basically vote locking when Yeano set them up. It would be nice if a new topic was made letting everyone know that there were changes. I may have missed it if you had already done so.

    No, there have been no changes, Hammer Voting on GTX0 has always meant "Round ends when a majority (over 50 percent has been reached." The current description in the rules:

    Hammer Voting is a special rule for voting. When hammer voting is on, once a person receives a majority (over 50 percent) of the votes, the voting for the day round will be "hammered" and end immediately. If more votes are cast or if votes are changed, it will not matter after the vote is hammered. Once the hammer is dropped, the decision is finalized. By default, hammer voting is off (unless otherwise stated by the Host).


    Was written by Yeano and has always been the same. Vote locking is a separate rule.

    If there were changes to the rules I would definitely point them out in a thread.

    Glad to see some SMWC players from last game sticking around :D.

    There's currently no set time for when signups will close, but it probably won't be very long. Seeing as it's a minigame, we're going to try to get it up, running, and finished as soon as possible.

    Signups will likely close around midnight Eastern (basically 48 hours after this thread was made.) I'm not sure when to start the game yet, seeing as the rounds will begin at the same time for each round. Might go for an early morning (eg 1am - 3am) time simply because it would probably be the most convenient time for Apollo or myself to update it.
