Well try to be at least somewhat active, as rounds are only 24 hours. It will probably be a good idea for you, Moonray, to talk to some of the other townies all while impersonating someone elses posting style what is also a townie. That why when they go after who eve has been posting the lies, they will end up lynching their own. :P (Not sure if that all made sense or whatnot)

Just to clarify, nobody will be dying this round :). Only the Prophet and Hooker can use their actions this round (on the mafia team.)

Moonray can pick a player to send an anonymous message to, which either Apollo or I will send for you. There's no limit to how many times you can do this and you can do it whenever.

(For future reference, every Prophet vision will be of the same format, with five items given as "clues" to the person's identity. Some items may have nothing to do with their role at all. In the case of Townies, none of the items may have to do with anything. But in the case of a power role, there will definitely be at least one item that is relevant to their power.)

Red, I just had a thought. What if you whisper something to him along the lines of-

"We know you're the prosecutor. In the day thread, mention the name of your target in an inconspicuous manner so we know who it is, and maybe we'll help get that player lynched for you."

Just an idea. Obviously all bets are off if the target is one of us, but it seems fairly low-risk since your message is anonymous and his role has no reason to align with the town.

Would have posted this in the mod forum but realized it might cast suspicion on me: It just occurred to me that, if Apollo and Rapunzel sometimes share IP's, Rapunzel could inadvertently stumble into the Mafia panel. O_o

I actually talked with her about this and told her that could be a problem (did the same with nutmeg): it shouldn't be an issue because nutmeg uses a wired connection primarily when on his computer, and Rapunzel uses a slightly different connection (she uses the unlocked WiFi at school, I used the locked connection). I reiterate, it definitely shouldn't be an issue, but I told them if they ever saw anything besides their assigned role as their role to just tell before they do anything else (they're both honest/trustworthy people, so if it ever did happen, they definitely wouldn't take advantage of it).

And there hasn't been a problem with it so far, the only time Rapunzel and I ever did share IPs was when she made her account (we were at a coffee shop with only one WiFi connection so that made sense) ^_^

That first bit felt so unnatural and the second bit is fairly neutral so if he manages to track that back to me he deserves the kill... Also had to keep it short because notifications have a character limit :(

I have no thoughts on who to role-block.

I vote to kill hez. I can't quite put my finger on it, but for some reason he strikes me as having a power role this time around. Of course I could be way off.

On second thought, yeah, if we don't kill hez, maybe he should be role-blocked.

I'm waiting to hear everyone else's thoughts, though, as I will totally change my vote if someone presents a better candidate.

Meh.

I want to say he should be removed as quickly as possible since he's now confirmed innocent. But... if it was a bullet proof vest, surely the Doctor will be protecting him for Night 2 and we sure as hell can't afford not killing someone for two nights.

The good news is, at least the Apprentice replaced one of the weaker roles already and we needn't worry about it anymore.

The Traitor is technically mafia-sided and counts toward the mafia ratio, but doesn't kill, doesn't have access to the mafia thread, and doesn't know who most of the mafia are.

The Traitor was given the name of three mafia members at the start of the game, picked at random. This means the Traitor does know who some of you are.

However, with OOG off, private communications are banned unless done by a Whisperer, so there isn't really any way for them to contact you.

I mean, I'd like to think that I've been doing ok at not looking suspicious but of course it's difficult for one to judge himself.

Anyway, I don't like keeping hez alive. But I'm not sure I want to risk an attempt on his life and failing, either. As I said before, if he wasn't saved by the Doctor, then the Doctor will most likely be protecting him tonight.

But then I've been considering the possibility that he might be the Doctor himself...

Well those are my thoughts. I'm not entirely sure who we should kill or role-block, but I kind of agree with Lightvayne about possibly killing SDYoshi.

It could also be a trap.

We asked Black Yoshi to inconspicuously reveal a name and now he's claiming his role but also throwing a name under everyone's nose.

I think either one of two things has happened:

1. He's decided he doesn't want to play ball with out side and believes he stands a better chance with the town (my understanding is he wins either way as long as his target dies). Thus he's revealed his role and potentially set a trap for us since we claimed we'd help hit the target with him.

2. His target already died so he can't side with us even if he wanted to (which he may never have wanted to) so with his target gone he's siding with the town because he's no longer a threat to them.

Either way, jumping on it feels like a bad idea to me. If it isn't a trap then it's a very very loose argument and people may see through us, if it is a trap then we're just falling into his hands.

I would suggest, given how well we seem to be doing so far, that we avoid drawing too much attention by bandwagoning weak accusations like the one Black Yoshi has thrown out.

For instance, chief mentioned Rapunzel.

Also, in my opinion, we should really try to take out hez sooner or later. His status as a confirmed innocent makes him dangerous, and there's always the possibility that he's the Doctor (if he self-saved himself) or a Lover.

Actually, I realize this was unintentionally left out in the Mafia thread and Night 0 thread, but the Hooker we're using this game is a standard Hooker following the established rules in the Mafia Roles document. This means that the Hooker cannot target the same person two nights in a row.

Sorry this got left out and hopefully it isn't too inconvenient to change your Hooker target to someone that's not hezekiah (seeing as you targeted him last round.)

This was the night we voted to kill white lancer. There were only 3 people in the room. Speed got taken out by the vig. and lancer walked away alive. Imo, that makes either him or Hez the doctor. Since hez fled the room, my money is on lancer being the doc.
So if he is the doc. Does he protect the Cop or himself?
We need a kill so hez is probably the best choice for a kill.

And then there's the Traitor. A really useless role. I hope the Exc. Host put this on the Suspended Role List. What good is a Traitor if he can't somehow communicate in-game with his side. Hell even Traitors irl can make contact with the people they are helping.

If this was set up right then he should have been allowed to give messages to the Hos in his thread to be passed along to the Mafia Thread. To make it fair a limit could be put on how many times he could do this, (example every other night)

    This is my idea regarding a Lover claim.

  • Only one of us should claim Lover and not two. It should be me because I don't have special abilities whereas you guys do.
  • I intend to only use this as a last resort if people start suspecting me for being quiet. I could claim that I was quiet because I didn't want to be forced to reveal my role and risk being killed by the Mafia.
  • If one of the real Lovers counter-claims before I do, I'm also toying with the idea of counter-claiming with the hopes of getting him lynched. If the second Lover comes forward to corroborate his claim, I could pretend that they're Mafia teaming up against me. I'll still probably get killed BUT the valuable info we gain would be kind of worth it.

    Also I'm wondering how feasible it would be to pull off a Prosecutor counter-claim in the event that it looks like one of us is going to get lynched...

    Well nobody can claim Lover anymore, that's for sure.

    This is just a thought... but I think two of us should claim Townie, one of us should claim Doctor, and one of us should claim Vigilante. One of us should counter-claim a power role after the real one has claimed because I think that would cast more suspicion on the other player.

    I would advise against acting on this suggestion until we've discussed it at least a little bit, though.

    Claiming Nice Whisperer would be bad, too, because we don't know who the real Nice Whisperer has been talking to or what he's been saying.

    As I said before, I'm going to claim one of the two plain Townies. Because there's no way that role can know anything since they have no powers and if someone else counter claims it becomes my word against theirs. We need to keep the hooker alive as long as we can to role-block

    white lancer claiming the townie with the vest is not smart because the vest only has one use. This could be a argument against mass role claiming because it will let the Mafia and the vig know who's who.
    But it will play right into our hands

    Kinda wishing we'd killed someone else now that we know the Vig went for the same target :/

    I have a feeling, based on the randomness of the attacks, that the Vig is someone like Hindy. Specifically they seem to be acting against the genera town consensus, which is something he'd do.

    Unfortunately I don't think there's very much we can do against this mass roleclaim, it's a real shame so many townies died early on.

    Looking at the numbers, assuming some people stay inactive for the votes. We MIGHT have the power to deadlock the votes (this assumes it doesn't reach 7 votes for the hammer voting to kick in)... But that's risky and we'd have to play it convincingly.

    All we need to do today is try and keep our numbers until the next night round and hope the vig kills another townie (would recommend no one claims vig since they've been beneficial thus far).

    I would suggest a roleblock on Nutmeg (the doctor) and kill someone. I believe all the bullet proof vests are out of action now so the only thing that can prevent our mafia kills is the doctor.

    I agree - roleblocking nutmeg is the only sane choice, since we can't block Dooku twice in a row.

    Who we kill is a bit trickier.

    If we roleblock AND kill nutmeg, we risk one of us being exposed by Dooku for one more night, BUT we don't have to worry about our kills being blocked anymore.

    If we kill Dooku, we have less risk of one of us being exposed, but nutmeg will be able to protect again during the following night round and he may very well protect himself.

    Personally I'm kind of leaning toward roleblocking and killing nutmeg, and then killing Dooku the following night.

    These rounds are going to be painful... I don't even know if I should continue to keep quiet or claim townie. My silence thus far should already be a dead giveaway, and someone like lancer is likely to pick up on that.

    If it looks like people might vote for chief, I will see if I can swing the votes for myself in a way that doesn't make it obvious that I'm protecting a power role. We simply HAVE to role-block nutmeg tonight or else we could be totally screwed when we try to kill their power roles.

    I still am leaning toward role-blocking AND killing nutmeg. It means Dooku will get one more investigation, but at least it means he will have no protection anymore. Plus, in the off-chance that he investigates Lightvayne, that could work in our favor.

    I would have liked to counter-claim Doctor, but at this point I've waited for too long and it just won't work anymore. {fp} I'm thinking I'll just wait it out and see where the round takes me.

    Yes, the roleblock will block anyone's ability, so it would block the doctor's ability to protect people (assuming you actually block the doctor.)

    Yeah, I'd say all of us except maybe Lightvayne and our dear Traitor, whoever he may be, are pretty much the town's lynch list. We have to make tonight count.

    At first I thought it would be best to role-block nutmeg as to ensure that our kill isn't prevented by him, but would it be more prudent to block who we think is most likely to be the Vigilante instead?

    Look guys if the vig kills one of us tonight we still have a chance. I'm confident in my guess that it's Hindy, so as long as we kill the doctor first we can then kill whoever.

    As long as we keep the ratio as it is, then we have a chance. One town mislynch and it's over.

    Hopefully the vig kills a town person tonight or doesn't act at all.

    Dooku pretty much knows without a doubt at this point that chief and I are guilty. He probably would guess Redack is guilty as well, so I could see him using his action on someone else whom he's unsure of. If he targets Lightvayne, that would potentially work in our favor. I'd just hate for him to discover the Traitor though.

    If we kill the Traitor, though, we are pretty much fucked. All of us except Lightyvayne are suspects, and there are so many confirmed innocents that Lightvayne would be exposed purely by process of elimination.
