At long last, the passengers decided on doing their very first lynch.
… But who?
“Maybe Lightvayne?”
“Hmm, how about Jo Nathan?”
“Yeah, but what about Rapunzel?”
“And that Bubba guy, too!”
Many names were thrown around, and it took a while for the passengers to finally come upon a name they all at least seemed to somewhat agree on.
“We’re going with Lady Flare,” hezekiah decided. Others followed suit.
“But.. I’m just a Townie.”
No one really seemed to believe her… More people by the hour found distaste with her potential affiliation.
As Lady Flare was shaking her head, wishing someone would just see reason, she felt someone grab her hands and put them behind her back.
“Yeah, I think it’s time for you to go,” muttered hezekiah. He tied a rough, coarse rope around Lady Flare’s hands, and she let out a small chuckle.
“I guess this is what I get for trying to help?”
They lead her to the very front of the ship, with a make-shift plank extending off of the edge of the ship. She looked at Jo Nathan, who returned her look with glossy eyes.
“I… I’m sorry.”
“You told me you trusted me, Jo.”
“…. I don’t think I’m safe… with you alive. I… I can’t trust you anymore.”
“I’m sorry to hear that.”
hezekiah prodded her with the back end of a broom, inching her off to the edge of the extended plank.

And then she fell into the roaring waters.
There was no struggle to resurface. She was never to be seen again.
Lady Flare, the Townie, had died at sea…
