my ffx boss tips

Posted March 10, 2012 by Riku~

Ok I know that most people have already beatent his game into the coffin, but I'm bored and I'm trying NOT to get freaked out by Marble Hornets

Lord Ochu: The first of several optional bosses in this game and this one can be tricky since your only fire spell is a level 1 spell and odds are you don't have Ifrit yet. I'm not sure, but I think if you avoid him on the way to the temple, he will still be there when you return after getting Ifrit. So if you don't have him, get everyone into Overdrive and I mean EVERYONE (this is pretty much my strategy through out the game but there are exceptions in which that won't be enough as I'll explain later). His normal attack can inflict poison, so antidotes are handy. Start off with Tidus, Wakka and Lulu. Just hit things off with their Overdrives. Lulu's will be the most useful since, being a plant fiend, Lord Ochu is vulnerable to fire. Wakka is also a good one if you can allign two or three red slots. Just continue on with your attacks by switching out Tidus and Wakka for Yuna and Kimahri. Jump is the better of his overdrives to use and not bullet seed. If Ochu falls asleep, DO NOT ATTACK! Grand summon Valefor and overdrive it. With numerous overdrives the battle should be over quick, but it all depends on how strong your characters are.

Oblitzerator: This can be hard or easy. the main objective here is to defeat it before it uses Blitzball Rush causing a good ammount of damage. You can choose to do one of two things: A) Take it head on w/o using the crane (I've done this) or B) Using the nearby crane. I highly suggest B because it is easier AND even if you complete this boss through plan A you don't get anything extra. I suggest having echo screens, eye drops nad potions a plenty since this is one of many boss fights in which you won't have yuna with you.

That's all for now

You don't need boss tips for a normal play through of FFX. Maybe for like, no sphere grid, or lulu only, or whatever. I beat rikku only without a guide.

that's your opinion. There are some bosses I had trouble with (ironically enough, seymour flux wasn't one of them. I remember EVERYONE had trouble with him).

Noteable bosses difficult to deal with: Yunalesca (I've gotten this down good. you cast holy and flare until her first form is gone. Then use your human overdrives on her and grandsummon bahumat to kill her second form. then release your aeons in form 3 and she's done for), Evrae (unless I have under dog secrets, I'm screwed), the machina under water (when it's just tidus and wakka underneath the moonflow) and Yu Yevon. He can be a real bitch if you don't zombie him or have break damage limit

I pimp slapped every enemy in the game. Omega and Ultima Weapon too, with just Rikku. No Sphere grid and no items in places where I couldn't use Rikku.

good for you.

So you basically suck at gaming. You struggle with the easiest final fantasy out there. What ones have you beaten?

who said I struggled? a lot of the times it was just I wasn't leveled up enough. Evrae and Yunalesca are the ONLY ones who gave me massive trouble and that's just cause with Evrae you don't have the aeons and with Yuanlesca she has more health than Yu Yevon. Yu Yevon just forced me to rage quit cause you can't lose but if you don't stop him from curing himself, it will be a battle that goes no where.

btw, I don't appreciate you saying I "suck at gaming". I may not be "HEY! I CAN BEAT THIS GAME WITH JUST A THEIF! COOLIO!" but I play games to enjoy them. Like FF9 (which is easier than 10 imo. I at least died a few times in 10. I think I've died like ONCE in 9)

leveled up enough? The game can be beaten without any sphere gridding at all.

Nine is technically more difficult because you can't set your controller down and make a cup of coffee while the battle is going.

The only challenge in FFX that's mildly difficult is Lulu Only and Auron only. Auron is ridiculously slow at the beginning of the game, and you find yourself only being able to train against certain enemies.

sure ya can. It's called the friggin START button. either way, I don't care what you say and I appreciate it if you didn't clog up my post by basically saying my post is pointless.

Unfortunately it is pointless. There are plenty of walkthroughs available on the internet that cover both of these battles, and they're written better than yours and have superior information.

I don't give an Ochu's ass. I put this up here to help forum activity, keep my mind off creepy shit on Marble Hornets AND to post for fun. BACK THE FUCK OFF

Oh in that case by all means. But know that by responding to your post, I too am bolstering activity.
