night 0 the finale for peace

It was a snowy night in Dookville - a calm, quiet, and cozy town, holiday lights lining all of the houses in which the townspeople resided. As the winter was coming in full force, everyone would get together in the evening at the Town Square, wrapped up in their blankets, sipping hot cocoa (made by yours truly, the Chef) and sharing all kinds of stories - funny, romantic, and horror.

Shadowwalked, the Treestump loosened up his blanket. He sipped his cocoa and grinned.




"Once upon a time, in the cold, dead winter, lived a small town made up of the closest of friends. They worked together, ate together, hell, sometimes they even slep- I mean... sleigh rode together. But one night changed everything.

Someone was brutally murdered.

There was a note left on the dead body:

'The first of many, the last of the town. Enjoy the time while you can - the end is near.... the Mafia are here.'

The Mafia... that's right. There was the Godfather, the Hooker, the Mafioso, and this other character... Hmm, who was it again...?

Ah, yes, the Interceptor! He was newly inducted into the Mafia clan, and one of the most powerful - they could choose someone to target during the night, and if someone else also visits the target that night, the visitor will be killed. Alas, if more than one visitor also visits the target, one of them will die (decided on by a roll), but the Interceptor will also be revealed to the town the following Day - if I recall other spooky stories about the Mafia correctly, it's similar to the Assassin role in that way.

There was another person wandering in the snow the night of that death, and this person was known by some as the Marksman. This person hated the town, and supported the Mafia - but didn't want anyone knowing that. Unfortunately, the Marksman didn't know who the Mafia were, and would thus have to scout them out from inside. The Marksman would have a gun... with just one bullet to be shot during a day round. The Marksman's identity would not be revealed upon shooting.

The next day, the townspeople found the body of their loved one... And they knew of the Mafia that had infiltrated their tight-knit community. They realized that they'd have to bring together their most powerful forces to take down the dreaded gang.

They had a Distracted Doctor, who would utilize the night rounds to visit others and heal them of their wounds. Cursed with ADHD, the Distracted Doctor would not be able to save the same person two nights consecutively.

There was also the Public Investigator, who would scope out someone's house every night to check their affiliation - Innocent or Guilty. This verdict, without a name on it, would be reported the next Day round by the Host for all to see.

And then there was the Virgin - if lynched during the day, all night kills the following night would be blocked. If night killed, all possible day kills (besides lynching) would also be blocked.

Thirsty for killing Mafia by their own hands was the Guard, who had a gun - they would be able to shoot this gun once per day round, with a 50% chance of their identity being revealed upon the shot.

Then stumbled in the Town Drunk, slurring their speech - 'DON'T FORGET ABOUT MEEEEEEEEEEEE! I can bring someone out for a damn fine time every night, and keep 'em away from their night actions! Can't take the same person out two nights ina row, though! *mumble* *mumble* *hiccup*'

There were also three townies around that had a bad tendency to sleepwalk - every night, they would randomly visit someone's home. They were known as the Sleepwalkers.

Then, of course, were the Townies, scared but prepared to find out the truth behind what was going on behind these snowy scenes...

Alas, two of the members of this town were fresh out of college, ready to start their new careers - there was a Journalist, who would check someone's house every night, see if the person leaves or who visits the house, and then writes up an article to be anonymously posted the next day. The Journalist was even blessed with a bulletproof vest! There was also the Prosecutor, eager to get some justice served, attorney-style! They would be randomly given a target that would have to be lynched in order to win - if the target is Night-killed, then the Prosecutor would turn into a Survivor.

The odd thing about this story is that I just can't seem to remember the ending... Oh well!" Shadowwalked laughed, and with that, everyone looked petrified. They all slowly got up and wrapped their blankets tighter than ever, glaring at one another with solemn faces. They all walked back to their own homes....

  • OOG communication will be allowed, BUT if you have extensive conversation and planning with another player concerning the game, Shadowwalked and I request that you give us the chat logs.

    Round will end in 18-24 hours, since there are no night actions (the standard 24 for night rounds and 72 for day rounds will be used thereafter)
