As far as that dude's claim- I'm inclined to believe that he threw in a real mafia in his batch of names, however I'm not totally comfortable isolating our picks to just his set since we don't know whether or not he really did throw a mafia in there. Still, it's something to think about.

As one of the people on that list, I'm calling it complete crap. However, if people don't want to believe it and think the list is real, feel free to go after me, as I, a simple snowman, would rather give my life than have the town accidentally take down one of the more powerful roles.

Agreed with Lightvayne. How many times has a player (not naming any names{roll}) pulled something like this and it usually ends up giving the Mafia the edge.

Black yoshi is a confirmed innocent. So the rest of the list really depends on what type of player we think ghowilo is. What Heyy put one townie in and have the rest be mafia, have a list full of innocents, or hide one mafia member in the list.

Also note how Ghowlio said he wanted the game to end quickly. The only one of us that didn't vote for him was Black Yoshi. In the past, I have sacrificed teammates to advance my game, but Day 1? It was pretty much a lost cause for him after changing his role so many times, but do we really want to go with the word of somebody who was so back and forth throughout the round?

I can only speak for myself out of the three of us remaining, but I'm innocent. It wouldn't surprise me if Ghow hid one of the other members of his side among three innocents.

Is it too far fetched to think he possibly listed all innocent people? I haven't really played with Ghowlio many times so I'm not sure of his play style but for some reason that seems like something that could happen.

That's typically what happens when a guilty party lists names like that, but it's also been done where person on the list was guilty.

if Xhin was being serious about his roleclaim earlier, I doubt he'd be the Bad Santa. He and Ghow went after each other right away, and while I could see two mafia members stage a conflict to make one look innocent if the other goes down (I think I've heard it said that it was done a while back before I started playing), I don't think they'd use both of their power roles to do it.

if Xhin were Bad Santa falseclaiming the town-sided Santa, he risks being counterclaimed and losing more than just a number - if I'm understanding the Night 0 info correctly, Bad Santa has exactly three gifts to give out...so if both he and Dark Elf Ghowilo are lynched before three nights pass, one of the mafia gifts goes unused. A risky idea, to say the least...even if it got Santa killed for roleclaiming, he still has the Elf to pick up where he left off.

I'd vote for one of them. We haven't even heard from them or Redack and any other player that's been inactive.

Xhin brought up lynching inactive players three hours into the round, shortly followed by Ghowlio.

Redack/Moonray essentially was the tipping point of votes for Ghowlio. Could I see him essentially giving a teammate up on day one to prove his innocence? Yes. Do I see that being the case right now? Not really.

Edit in an earlier reply: BY was the only one who didn't have a vote on for either Xhin or Ghowlio.

Xhin essentially claims Santa 1, for all intents and purposes, when there is no need to at this point in the game. The longer that Santa and the Elf stay alive, the more results we can have to reduce the list of suspects.

And now you, Cas, have brought up lynching inactive players. Why is that? Flare has already stated inactive players will be killed at the end of this round.

If we can go by your and Xhin's word, what is a reason to lynch an inactive player when there are already repercussions in place to deal with them at the end of this round?

I'm assuming if Xhin is Santa he gave out the box of cookies and is not afraid of a night kill.

However, Santa cannot gift himself so I see no reason why he's sure pirate ninja is mafia and he's giving no reason for his vote for her.

Okay, until whoever got a gift last night comes forward (I don't think that's happened yet?), I'm going with this.

It seems fairly logical to vote for the people who voted for Xhin early on last round. By my rough estimate, that was Speed, Hidenburg, Chaos, and Roxas. Roxas is also the only one of those who was on Ghowilo's list, so here we are. I also don't like the way he's trying to simultaneously implicate Cas and Xhin. It makes almost no sense for Xhin to claim Santa as mafia or the real Santa, and I can believe that Cas just missed Flare's comment. Also- killing inactive players is much more likely to help the mafia rather than the town, so I'm not buying that she's trying to pull any kind of fast one on us anyway.

So how exactly does that lead to a vote for me?

Haven't we learned that when a Mafia player does a move like that, that person is lying 99% percent of the time. What purpose would it serve to give away the only role that could help your team in winning?

I wouldn't say roxas is defending himself before anyone started accusing him. He's clearing himself of what ghowilo insinuated. So for that reason I don't believe in voting for him. However, if you want to lynch him for the sake of testing ghowilo's list I'd understand that

It's advantageous of you to tell us that info whether you're being killed or not. If you're a townie, you're on our team, and even if we kill you you should want us to win. Withholding it does nothing for you.

So... this is what I see.

Xhin is potentially trying to spark confusion with his actions, hoping that this would keep the town from noticing him, also taking advantage of the fact that Pirate_Ninja himself was defending him.

Pirate_Ninja has been too inactive and passive to get a reading on.

Accusations get tossed around. Roxas gets bandwagon'd on because he's trying to use reason to lead us onto something (albeit, some of it is misguided) and he defended himself, which is a natural reaction imo.

Why is it any of your concern the reasons for my investigation? We all know if this were a standard game, there'd be no questioning about the Cop's reasoning behind investigating somebody. Is there somebody you would have preferred I investigated?

So, if Xhin were Santa he'd either know roxas was gifted and not have voted for him, or he would have said that he didn't gift roxas. Any explanation for the false role-claim?

Anyway I'm against lynching Roxas on account of the fact that he still has one use left of his badge and that goes to waste if he is innocent and dies. That's all you'll hear from me today because I am too sick to even sit up.

If we don't end up lynching Roxas today, I'd recommend that he let us know who he's planning to PI before the round ends so that we could get his result even if he gets offed.

If it isn't obvious by the last few replies, Xhin is the Dark Santa. His reasoning is not beneficial to the Town. He has yet to provide any alternatives other than myself. He has yet to give stable reasoning behind his vote for me.

You claim to be Santa, yet you can't verify that it received a gift. Your statements could be directed right back at you, and you would provide no better answer than I have.

So now I will officially present my case:

Xhin jokingly votes for Ghowlio to start Day One, not thinking anything will actually come of it. Why should he show concern when we never kill on Day One? Until things start actually going that way and it's too late for you to back out of a vote without looking suspicious.

This round you start out with a vote for PN and a claim that you are Santa. Which Santa, we won't know for sure until you are dead. The town would see this as too much of a risk in case you are the good Santa, so you know you won't be killed barring an unforeseen incident.

It isn't until I connect you and Cas together that either of you get flustered. Neither of you have provided a sound enough reason to actually put a vote on me other than my accusations.

Cas is berating my actions, all while she doesn't acknowledge your exact same actions. Again, there has yet to be a reason states for such a thing.

Speed's doing a terrible job at playing the part this round, if he is Mafia. As I have stated, the only reason I have my vote put on him right now is to save my own ass. You keep asking for a reason why there are votes for Speed with, yet you have not provided a reason not to aside from me being the only other option.

You accuse me of sporadic gameplay this round, when you have done the exact same, even going to further lengths to try to get me lynched.

I will end this post by reiterating what I have already said: If you have yet to vote, do not add on any other votes unless you want to see an innocent player killed. I don't believe Speed is Mafia, and at this point the only beneficial votes would either be to keep things tied at a deadlock or to vote off Xhin. Keep these votes tied or vote for Xhin, that is all I'm asking of the six of you who have not voted.

I'm honestly not sure what is going on anymore. I'm a bit confused. But, I can see the reasoning behind Xhin though.

I don't buy that Xhin is mafia. For him to be mafia, it would require him to have played extremely creatively right from the start with very little incentive to do so. There is an argument for it. Ghowilo seemed somewhat reluctant to keep a vote on Xhin.

I wasn't aware that the PI got two checks (I need to go back and reread the gift list), so Roxas keeping things in the dark makes more sense now. And there hasn't been any counter claim, either for the gift or the Elf. I don't like lynching Speed, and tying things up is basically the worst idea I've ever heard in my life. So can we just lynch Cas?

By the way, if you are the Elf or you got the gift, the benefits of coming forward far outweigh us keeping you alive, so please do so.

The reason why I voted for Roxas was because of the list Ghowilo posted. Now, I don't agree to it a hundred percent but anything could happen. This will be my official vote for now.

No, I don't buy him being the good Santa. I don't buy him being mafia specifically because he claimed good Santa either, though. Again, that's playing really creatively for no reason. It would also mean he and Ghowilo knowingly got into a voting war early on yesterday. Playing creatively, no real upside.

I'm not 100% ruling him out, but I would rather kill someone else today than him. However, I'll kill him off over you or Speed.

The Round should end at about 4 pm EST. But since I can't get the word out and no one knows it started, the Round will end at 6:40 pm EST instead. I'm going by the first post that wasn't made by me.

Jesus. Fine, I'll go on the new bandwagon train since there doesn't seem to be many options at this point. If Xhin really is Bad Santa, he should be our first priority. I highly suggest that we lynch him instead of Cas. Because if Cas IS Mafia, they're almost certain just a grinch. Xhin is acting kind of weird anyway as much as I kind of disapprove of how Roxas is going about it at this point.

You know...just because my post tend to get bypassed doesn't mean I'm inactive...I posted early this day round questioning Ghowilo's list. That's the only post I've made because family just so happens to be over for the weekend.

Took the time to read over all the posts I haven't yet just now. I'll just say that I found Xhin suspicious every since he suggested killing inactive players when the game barely started....and now he's still suggesting it...
