night 6 so long farewell auf wiedersehen goodbye

Posted June 15, 2013 by White Thunder

The town was jolly from killing the Assassin the night before and was walking around humming the tunes that he has so wonderfully placed upon them the day before. Unfortunately, their jovial nature would not last.

They woke up to find the body of The Bandit severely burned and not breathing. They rushed to resuscitate him but could not. At his funeral his estranged wife revealed to the town that he had been a Townie. Rest in peace.

Anything to say for yourself, Cas?

`Roxas`

(cry)

I lied. I don't know what I was thinking. I thought he was a Townie. If anything, I really am on Vandy's side, but I'm not sure if he would have voted for Weid, maybe he would have voted for Kyon, but Weid I was unsure of. I would have followed his word. I didn't know he was Mafia. I was being helpful. All I had was a vibe that he could potentially be Mafia, but I wanted to be wrong so that I could save him and help the town.

Castrael

Well now you bring up an interesting point: Vandy. It's odd that you consider yourself on his side when he isn't even playing this game. Could be you meant to put Hindy, but I find that doubtful.

And it's funny that you bring up Kyon, because the only reply he made was about killing weid. He only did so after it was clear weid would be the one to be killed (six votes for him at the time of his vote). Now, the last round could have gone in a different direction, yes, but that would have been doubtful to say the least.

Lastly, the way you continued to try and defend him after you had agreed that he would be the best option to lynch last round. With the Town having no way to confirm whether or not you are a Mafioso or if you are the Mafia's Godfather, there'd be no real loss for you to try and defend weid.

Gentlemen, I suggest that we lynch Castrael this round. It is quiet obvious by the points I have brought up, namely the first and last ones, that she is not town-aligned. With that, I shall cast my vote.

`Roxas`

Why am I confusing Vandy with Yeano again. Second time tonight. v.v

Castrael

You put words into my Roxas. Words, I tell yeah. Roxas lies.

Castrael

normally the weidsassin reveal could have been a bit more of a clue imo, but it just so happens that the people who'd draw my suspicion most after that also happen to be already dead. Dead mafia, but still dead.

Cas did seem a bit distressed there, which has my full attention right now. The mafia certainly wouldn't want to lose their assassin, especially in Townieburg here.

June 15, 2013
Pirate_Ninja

This couldn't have gone better for the town.

I am 100% sure Cas is Mafia but I'm wondering if we should maybe consider trying to use this round to sniff out one of the other members instead? We can always lynch her later and it's not like she has a dangerous power role.

June 15, 2013
Jo Nathan

I am wondering what happens when I do this.

June 15, 2013
Jo Nathan

I'm putting words into your mouth? Shall I go back and bring to light what you were saying through last round?

Repeating what others have said:

Me too, we have not heard from them since the game started!

Hezy, igga, Trev, Weid, Kyon and Hindy. I think I named the lot. Do you agree, Roxas?

I said this at least once over the last two rounds.

Yes, I agree with that Roxas. Hezy has been very quiet as of late, which is unlike him.

So has Hindy, but I dunno too much about him

In favor of lynching weid:

But, yeah, I agree with you on Weid though. What's your opinion?

I would have already stated my opinion of weid at this point, so what was the point in asking that?

  • Redack asks Cas what her opinion of weid is.

My opinion? He's definitely on my list for being Mafia. I mean, this is my first time playing with him and he hasn't said much. I'm not defending him either, but I'd choose him if I were you. And, to be honest, the way he answered the Town like that earlier, just threw me off guard.

Bolded for emphasis, will reference back in the next section.

  • Cas votes for weid.

    Against lynching weid:

I think you guys should lynch me instead. I'm tired. Annoyed. I'm not giving up. Just annoyed. I'm stepping down and taking Weid's spot instead. I'm surrendering myself in place of Weid. I'm the one you want.

Weid's more than likely innocent. You don't have to worry about him. it's me you have to worry about.

I doubt Weid's the assassin. He's too new.

Because I'm the one who has pretty much suggested to kill the lot of you.

Because I am tired. Annoyed. and I am the one you should probably lynch
    ***

Because, Weid is new and he should be given the chance to learn to do things on his own. He may be quiet now, but maybe he just doesn't know how to play the game very well. it is his first game, after all. Hell, I was lynched so many times in the past game and I know it's just a game, but really, I got a lot of experience with this Game 18.

This all speaks for itself, doesn't it?

  • *And now that doesn't seem to be an issue.

Other things that had already been discussed:

I'm more curious about Trever. Because he hasn't said one thing so far. And usually he helps out, but he seems to be making excuses.

Trever stated (in Day 3, I believe) he wasn't getting stable WiFi connection.

Everyone says go with your gut instinct, but is it all true? That's when you start second guessing yourself. I don't see how I've been repeating myself, tbh. Maybe it's because of the prescription drugs I'm still on? Who knows.

With the Cop gone, gut instinct is the only thing we can go on.

So, with that said, if we're going to stick with LLight's stats, I think we should. We got most of the players on his list, one more won't hurt, right guys?

LLight's statistics also raised the possibility of a power role being in that group.

    I like your thinking, Chief.

This was about chief's suggestion that JN is Mafia, most in part to JN's belief that chief is Mafia. This leads me to interpret this statement by Cas as trying to get support behind a Townie lynch.

    I was kidding, Nathan.

    I don't think you're Mafia.

And then there's this not too long after, but only AFTER JN makes a response to it.

  • Redack continues his insistence that Cas is Mafia, votes for her. Would later switch to weid.

Where's Kyon anyways, he hasn't said anything? I wonder if he thinks we'll go by the stats that he doesn't actually care anymore.

Both of these brought up already.

There's definitely a bunch of what ifs, aren't there?

This goes back to the gut instincts portion of this post.

Why would I side with Chief? First, that was a joke I made. Second, with these vibes going on, they're just messing with our heads. I really think we should focus on the stats, before this turns out to be the battle of the wrongs.

LLight has been right and I totally support him this. I just find this all to funny, tbh. If I have to make the vote for Kyon myself, I will. I mean, serious, he's like one of the inactive players here and don't you want to hear from the inactive players first?

Already discussed the first part of this, and why continuing to follow LLight's stats isn't necessarily going to give us the results we hope for.

I know I can be a jokester sometimes but I can't help it. I'm such a kid at heart that I forget that I'm playing a serious game sometimes. I'll need to work on, but I appreciate that Zanic.

    [quote}Wow I sounded like a total buzzkill there.{/quote] (sic)

    Don't worry about it, Zanic.

Back to back posts about just joking around.

That is what I was referring to as a joke, Nathan.

    Again, joke.

Would you ever consider Kyon, Hezy, or any of the inactive players to make their reasons known first?

I'm very confident that Kyon is Mafia.

Doesn't really continue with this at all. Why do/did you think Kyon is Mafia?

But, I still also support LLights stats too.

    Blah blah blah.

It's definitely a lot harder with the cop gone, but like Bandit said, I'm sticking to my word. I have other suggestions, but they're all pretty risky since most of the players are inactive. If we don't hear from them in the next few hours, what would you guys do?

Doesn't really expand on those suggestions.

lynch chief? We can definitely do that. You with me on that one?

I mean, whenever you vote for Chief, he always ends up Mafia.

And now things seem to have shifted to the other side of the pendulum.

I'm still suspicious of Chief though. What if Nathan's right?

But why are we going off of what ifs?

Well, there are plenty of inactive players out there right now. :/

Brought up by multiple people before in this round alone.

    Things not really mentioned before:

I wonder what's up with the Governor nowadays.

Why even bring up the Governor? Is it possible this was a Mafia member's attempt at trying to get the Governor to reveal? To force his hand and have him use his power for the first time on Day 5? Would make sense in that case, especially after losing a fellow Mafia the previous three rounds.

Well, that's a pretty darn good question right there Redack. Why would Chief claim himself a Townie when there's an Assassin? and the same thing for Nathan. Very confusing.

This is in response to Redack saying roleclaiming with the Assassin still in the game is stupid. Roleclaiming as a Townie isn't really going to make much of a difference with 10 Townie roles (at the time) and two Town-sided Power roles. Also, why was this not brought up after it became apparent that weid would be killed and I revealed to be Governor? She would have known that the Assassin was going to die and there would be no point in countering it.

Anyone could lie though. :/ if the assassin takes the hit and turns out the person lied, the assassin dies instead.

    That's the game, sweetcheeks.

If I were you, I'd go with the strongest player left and see where we're left off. Some people may be like, oh it's just a useless role I won't post. They may have you think that, but I think they could be hiding.

(I mean this in no disrespect toward the rest of you). Really the only "power players" left in the game are Redack and I at this point.

These are all of the relevant posts made throughout last round where Cas either does what the title of said section(s) state, or she contradicts herself.

Sorry for that long post, guys. (:$)

    June 15, 2013

Good find Roxas, Cas obviously was trying to switch spots with weid so the mafia could hold onto the assassin.

I think Weid would be honored by the thread title.

    June 15, 2013
    Bubba

@Roxas, I agree. It was so obvious during last round that she was mafia trying to protect another mafia member. Not to mention she also came on AIM and tried to convince me to lynch her.

Last round I thought it might be useful to let her live, to see if she'd reveal anyone else... Plus I didn't really feel like pushing for her lynch when everyone wanted to lynch weid anyway.

    June 15, 2013
    Redack

my vote goes to kyon as well

    bad redack

    June 15, 2013
    Castrael

With all the evidence brought forth against Castrael, and the vibes of two veteran players, I am pretty sure she is Mafia now. After her turnaround on weid yesterday, I lost any vibes of her potential innocence. The only thing I could think of her reasoning behind this is perhaps she had a change of heart on his allegiance and hoped the governor WOULD be against her getting lynched. But that's a very long shot. Chances are, I will be casting my vote for her towards the end of this day round.

I am also curious about Kyon though... I haven't seen too much of him this game but then I have missed a lot. Is there any reason to suspect him, Jo?

    June 15, 2013
    Trever Leingod

There are two things I'm more curious about:

    1) Cas, why/what do you find suspicious about Kyon? You mentioned him last round, but didn't elaborate upon it.
    2) Still wondering why hezekiah has been hellbent on voting Bubba out.

    June 15, 2013
    `Roxas`

Cas's turnaround and self-contradictions had me concerned last round too, but since everyone was already voting Weid I had little choice but to follow. But now I can do this:

    June 15, 2013
    Black Yoshi

Right now I have a handful of people in mind to look at in the next day, depending on how the Night goes:

    Kyon
    Redack
    hezy
    Hindy
    Yoshi

    June 15, 2013
    `Roxas`

I would add chief to that list Roxas, but I agree

    June 15, 2013
    #85

I was just picking someone to vote for who hasn't given us a lot to go by, hoping I might get an interesting response from Cas. I don't think the response we got proves Kyon's innocence but it's not really anything to use against him either, so...

Don't want the round to end so early though. It would be nice to hear from those quiet players, and not just one quick post that keeps them from being host-killed.

    June 15, 2013
    Jo Nathan

Because I think Kyon could be the godfather and is in hiding.

    June 15, 2013
    Castrael

I got a funny feeling about Bubba based on the first thing he said back on day 2 or so, responding to the previous night's carnage. On my phone so a more accurate citation is inconvenient.

I was all set to vote for Weid when I got home from work yesterday (don't like having to log in at work, then again when I get home), but the round had already ended.

In almost certainly going to take next game off since I'm feeling rather burned out.

Is this the reply you are talking about, hez? If so, I can understand your cause for concern about him.

    June 15, 2013
    Castrael

I'm here. Just been working and sleeping a lot. I don't really have much input of value at the moment, and I can't really read and comprehend most of this thread right now cause I got no sleep last night (Especially Roxas' massive post, whoa). Will try to be useful and contribute really soon here when I'm not half dead irl

    June 15, 2013

Sorry guys. I'm at a family reunion, but I found a spot of wifi.

After reviewing all the evidence brought up, I agree that Castrael is probably mafia. I still have doubts about Black Yoshi and Kyon, but first things first.

The town made fairly quick work of their next victim, Castrael, who had seemed resigned to her death for quite a while. It was indeed inevitable; she was a Mafioso.

However, after the joyous lynching, there came some sad news to the town. `Roxas`, a town favorite, announced he was leaving for a very good reason. The whole town cried at his departure and wished him the best of luck. As he left he revealed that he was a Townie and promptly split after that to save the world.
