BAH HUMBUG! You are, in fact, the Christmas hating humbugs. You want to suck the Christmas Spirit from each and every villager. I decided to bring back the VooDoo lady, in a form, so you only have three power roles aside from your usual night kills. I think you will like them.

chiefsonny, you are Scrooge(sorry, I can’t spell your first name). You are proud of your hate for anything Christmas and don’t keep it secret from anybody. Yes, even the villagers know your role. However, because of your money and power, you CAN NOT die until every other Humbug has been found. You are effectively the Humbug’s spokeman and can taunt and tease the village all you want without fear of death.

Serpe, you are the Ghost of Christmas Future. Unlike the character is the classic tale, you like to speak. In fact, you have the ultimate power over words. Every night, you can chose a single Christmas word, and the next day, anybody who speaks it (including Humbugs) will immediately be silenced for the rest of the round. The word MUST be a noun(person, place, thing) and NOT a player’s name or a role.

Jo Nathan, you are Jacob Marley(Lord, I almost said Bob Marley! Lol). With your ability to suddenly appear anywhere and rattle your chains, you can rattle any player you pick each night, and that player, assuming they HAVE a night power, will be unable to use it.

White Thunder and Female Alpha Wolf are Scrooge's employees, regular humbugs(mafiosos).

We have to be very careful not to even let on that we know what roles we have.

We have not one on our team that can do a night kill, in fact the only one that can kill is that wimpy little talking snowman.

Another thing Feral did not explain in his game rules is

1. Do we get to vote someone off at nigh like the Mafia does. Or are we limited to trying to lynch a Santa crew during the day.

2. If he does not read this and clear it up, let me ask the question during the day round because they know who I am.

In fact in the Day round thread's, you guys need to badmouth me like any townie would, just don't over do it.
Another thing wait until one or two of them do it first, so they don't catch on to it.

In case anyone missed it. I will not be online on Sat. 11/24 from around 8am until 10-11pm.

Chief, the word is only in effect in the main thread.

Jo, you would still be silenced for blatantly saying the word, however, there would be no additional penalty.

Rudolph will see the last reply his chosen role posts in THIS thread before I end the round, with names and roles removed.

As you guy's know I can not suggest anyone for lynching in the Main thread. They know I'm Mafia and any name I suggest will either be a Townie or an attempt to throw them off by suggesting one of you.

What I can do and what I plan on doing is waiting to the very end of the day round and cast a vote on any one that is not one of us and has the most votes. Right now that's Castrael.

Because for us it doesn't make any difference who goes as long as it lowers their numbers.

I was polite about it in the main thread, but honestly I said what I said because it looked like the Castrael bandwagon was coming to a halt anyway, and defending an innocent person can sometimes pay off later. But more importantly, I think it would benefit us if the new player stays and an experienced player (possibly Roxas) goes instead. You know? It looks like people want to see some blood this round and none of us are really in the spotlight right now.

Thought I would throw a few things out for you guys to think about.

Based on the posting for the last 3 days I think the people we need to worry about for right now would be MM9 or `Roxas` They are both good players. MM9 probably a little better. But Roxas is posting alot.

Although Castrael has posted the most, I think that's more first game gitters.

One thing that does bother me is if hezekiah, CtR Black or Xhin (who only posted twice) is The Grinch and are going to be inactive then we won't be able to count on that for help.

I'm hoping it was just the Thanksgiving weekend that kept them inactive.

A little side note on Castrael. I saw it a couple times in previous games, once with Teddy and once with Knuckles when new players had power roles, they posted a lot. This may not be the case, but keep it in mind.

I think there is a pretty good chance that Castrael gets lynched so we might wanna hold off on her. I was leaning toward MM9 because he was suspicious of Roxas but with his most recent post saying he's not anymore that goes out the window. He'd still be a good kill though, so either him or Rox or possibly lancer.

Not sure you're going to get anyone to say that word in a normal post with out one of us trying to push them in a direction where that word would come up.
For example one of us saying things like egg nog or stockings and then if someone says the word, we are going to look suspicious.

I was thinking a good word or words might be x-ray or healing or hat. All things that are a part of the game.

We just have to remember not to use the word in the main thread.

Bottom line, we're down by 6. If we can't get them to lynch (someone besides us) during the day and we get one a night, this could be a very long game.

It would take 6 day rounds to just get even with them. That's way to much time to give them to talk to each other.

And I hope Feral's not going to give any inactive players a long time before taking action.

One thing I'm thinking about is using the word 'present' somehow, hoping they will use our word in place of present.

Like for example:

"Well my little toy makers, I see the old fat dude left a lucky present under you tree and stopped a kill"

As a side note, after we get rid of some of the main power players (e.g. Roxas and Majora) I think Frustro should also go. He's proven to be a strong player against the Mafia in previous games.

The exchange between Roxas and Serpe is warranting some caution going forward, methinks.

I'll go back on my word and vote for Helius if I have to. I agree Roxas does not look like a viable option anymore.

People are seeing that there is no evidence against Helius though. This could be bad if attention turns to one of us.

Also we have to be careful who we pick to kill tonight. If Santa chooses to protect, he'll probably protect Roxas or Majora.

I slept on it, and I still think it might be good to go after Majora. I know it's possible people might vote for him for taking the lead against Helius, but I could see others putting a stop to that saying "but he's a strong player and would really help the town if he's actually innocent!" Which is true.

Also, this was pretty downplayed during the day round but he did also suspect The Bandit. Majora's death could potentially cast suspicion over The Bandit. But that's not something I think we ourselves should instigate in the main thread. When I was Godfather and we tried to pin Feral's death on Majora, my teammates went about it way too obviously (no offense to them).

Of course I'm the one pushing for his death and it'll be just my luck that he's protected tonight...

@FAW, Thanks for breaking the tie and getting one of them lynched.

They may not go after you since MM9 voted for Helius and he voted for himself. If it comes up, you guys can defend the vote by saying it looked like he (Helius) wanted to leave.

But in the mean time, lets keep a close watch on the vote next day round and make sure we try to keep the votes off FAW.

Now for the our vote tonight. MM9 or `Roxas` would be the best choice. But which one? One of them probably got the Healing gift. But which one?

Some of the players, including Roxas, still have the suspicion that all of the Humbugs haven't spoken and that one of the silent players may be one of them so maybe we shouldn't take out silent players yet to give us a little leeway. "If they dot speak they can't incriminate themselves."

I also think we have a good chance of the town offing MM9 so we should keep him around for leeway also.
I'm pretty sure that Cas is a power role... And possibly The bandit. That's just a feeling though.

I just feel like if we instantly go after the power players, the ones who are left will figure something out.

I'm a little unsure about Cas being a power role given that this is her first time. Then again, lancer being the Grinch wasn't something we expected either. But with an almost-mob that almost killed her in the previous day round, we do have a good chance of putting her in the hot seat.

In the meantime, like chief, I'll put my vote in for Roxas in the event that I'm not here tonight to reconsider.

I thought about it some more. I still think Roxas is a good choice.

My thoughts are, Roxas was seen as potentially suspicious in the last round so I am not sure Santa would be quick to give an elixer to him. After the last round some people are saying Roxas is most likely innocent so it would be good to eliminate him now before Santa has a chance to give him an elixer.

If Roxas has a healing gift already, it would be better to make him use it up now than later in the game when we're potentially down a few teammates and more desperate to eliminate the strong players. But I guess the drawback would be that he knows he'll die the next night, so he may announce to everyone that the Mafia tried killing him and to listen to his words of wisdom before he's killed off for good.

I dunno. It's a risk I'd be willing to take, but what do you guys think?

In my opinion, I think Cas might be a better pick. I think more people are convinced of Roxas' innocence than not.
But then there ate advantage of getting rid of power players. I do feel like with the amount of people not really talking, he would either get a gift or Santa is just not giving them out (I doubt they're just handing them to people). So it's kinda mixed for me.
But I think I'll stay with Roxas.

While it's good we took out Frosty, if we had left him alive he would have killed Bandit and the ratio would be down to 7-5. With a townie lynch we could have won. Now it will take at least two rounds. But I think it's pretty obvious that we can take out Bandit during the day.

Jo, hold up on using those X-Ray Specs. If we can lynch a townie today then tomorrow the ratio will be down to 6-5. You claim that someone is Mafia by use of your X-Ray specs, and we win. Best case scenario.

Ok guy's since I have no life I've been thinking this through. So tell me what you think.

1. There are only 2 people left on old Santa'a crew with night powers. Him and Rudolf.

2. We know MM9 is Rudolf even though he lied about most of the things on day 2.

So here's the plan.

As long as each one of us make a dummy post after each real post, then that should take care of him for a while in the event he already has the Healing stuff.

Since Marley's Block is the first night action. Just block Santa. He can't help any of his crew that way. And we already have a pair of x-ray specs.

Then we work on the rest of them until we get them down to a tie.

I'm going to throw around a few ideas here.

I think we should still try to night-kill Majora. We know the last gift went to me, and Majora's innocence wasn't completely clear in the round before that so I doubt Santa would have been quick to give him free protection. I know there's still risk involved, but his plan has undeniably hurt us (props to him, I must say - that was a clever move) and he should go before he does more damage.

Then instead of killing off Bandit which is what everyone might be expecting, we could go after someone else and hope they say "gee, we thought Bandit was a confirmed innocent but the Mafia didn't kill him, maybe we were wrong." But that is a long shot, I know.

I really would like to see Frustro go sooner than later. He always comes back to haunt me later in these games.... I consider him my strongest adversary, in a friendly way. {:P}

I could put in an argument for lynching Cas but I'm worried it would come back to haunt me later. She gets lynched, everyone sees she's innocent, then eyes turn back onto FAW and myself, and in two rounds we're down by two. My instinct tells me to vote for FAW to save myself, as I did last time I was Mafia, but I can't bring myself to do that to a lady.

I think Frustro is a very solid kill. He hasn't really been brought up as suspicious but is also unlikely to have been given healing elixir. And as Jo pointed out he has been a very solid end-of-game player.

FAW is almost certain to go tomorrow but assuming we hit non-medicated people we only need to lynch one more townie. CtR or Dooku is our best bet.

Has Trever posted recently? If not I suggest another host kill.

And what exactly did the host do to screw up?

First of all let me say thanks to both FAW and Jo for taking one for the team.

If it's allowed and one or both of them lose a point for not being alive at the end of the game, I will ask Feral to give them one of my points if we win.

If you want to block MM9 tonight that's fine. We can keep fooling him with bad post, but since we don't know who Santa is, we don't have anyone else to use it on.

I think it's unlikely that hez is santa. He's been way inactive and if he was Santa that probably wouldn't be the case. I think Bandit is a good choice for that. With my x-rays we have some leeway anyway.

I'll vote to kill Frustro as well.

Cas, if/when you read through this after the game, I hope you don't have ill feelings toward me. It wasn't anything personal. :(

When the next round starts, I will try to be like "I didn't realize the number of votes required was only five, otherwise I wouldn't have been so reckless." But the fact that chief wouldn't vote off FAW when he had the chance probably means they will know to go after her next, and it's still possible they'll go after me too after that. And I wouldn't be surprised if someone x-rays me after that stunt.

I'm not sure there's anyone who seems overly suspicious. It was just you and Cas pretty much, but now it's just you and me.

I think with the hot water I'm already in, trying to get another person lynched by claiming their x-ray turned up guilty will probably not work for me. That's why I'm considering being honest about trev's x-ray result. If they lynch me and see that I'm guilty, even if they lynch you afterwards, trev will still be in the back of their minds when they've run out of suspects.

And as long as Majora is defending you, the better it is for us. A lot of players know how good he is at this game. So we need to be careful not to say anything that will make hem suspicious.

Later, it may be helpful for Serpe or Thunder to point out that Count Dooku not only voted for cas in Round 3, but `Roxas` as well in Round 2.

I'd say that Dooku is a good bet, personally. To me he doesn't seem as involved this game as in games past, but that's something we can use to our advantage. I'm waiting for some feedback here before I do/don't endorse anybody's lynching.

Well I only had a feeling he was setting a trap, but I could admit my guilt and make it look like I was totally aware that he was setting a trap. Maybe, just maybe they'll think I'm trying to pull reverse-psychology on Count Dooku and not rule him out as guilty.

Probably won't work, but it's better than just pretending to be innocent and dying anyway.

Also remember, in order for the day round to end early there has to be eight votes for one person. They don't have 8 votes. So a lot can happen, some people may change their mind. We only need one to vote our way to make it a tie.

Thunder I was going to suggest that at some point you vote for Jo. That will only give them 7 and if need be you can change your vote back. Just pick the time you think is right.

No one else including Jo should vote for Jo.

Remember, we don't need a lynch this round, a tie helps us just as much. We can not give them the 8 votes they need to end the day early. And if we can get that tie, it don't matter if they know who we are.

Right know I'm trying to decided if I vote for dooku will that throw them off. Have my doubts.

If you wait until it's 100% obvious there's no escape for me, voting for me won't be as effective, but then again they are 100% sure you're innocent already (I'd have to go back and see how that even happened!) so it wouldn't do any harm.

And thanks for your comments. I'm really not all good at identifying Mafia when I'm innocent so I at least want to try to be a strong Mafia.

Based on chief's suggestion, I almost would advise this: if you think you'll have to retract your vote for me, don't vote for me to begin with. I think retracting your vote for someone who's all but confirmed guilty would compromise your apparent innocence.

CtR claims he gave a gift to Cas. He could be lying about that to throw us off. He could have given an elixir to someone, so please be careful if we have to do more night kills assuming I and FAW die for the next two rounds.

Right now they have 6 votes for Jo. The only one townie that has not voted is Trever. If he does not vote, which he hasn't all game then we can all vote for dooku including Thunder which would be a 6-6 tie. When need to be very careful not to mention Trever's name at all.

As much as it sucks the way things are going right now, I think we still got this as a team. I'm a bit worried that Majora isn't 100% sold on Thunder's innocence though.

I hate sounding like a poor sport but I really do think it's crap that both times I've been Mafia part of my undoing is because Majora keeps an eye on the "People" tab. There are legitimate reasons to suspect me, but I think that one is not fair.

Been thinking about this.

What if this is another trap' What if they have been talking OOG and someone told him to make the claim and tell who he gave the glasses and he's got healing elixir.

Can Santa give out more then 1 item per night? Can he give healing guk to one player and the same night give specs to another player?

If he can, then we need to be very careful. If not then all he gave was glasses then we're safe to take out CtR tonight.

I just finished reading the Thread "The Workshop- Night 0" which is locked but you can read it. It was all the role descriptions. If I'm reading it right Santa can only give on player each night a gift. If that's the case and both of our peoples gift's are accounted for then it should be ok to off him tonight.

Ok, guy's I will post as much as I can today. Just got back from the hospital, been there since 1:30am. My wife has COPD and her cough was getting bad so they admitted her to make sure it does not become pneumonia. I hate hospitals and she hates me hanging around when she's sick(sad)

I've been thinking about it. Maybe Majora told CtR to say he gave one to Cas when he actually gave one to MM9. After all, why would CtR give one to Cas on the very first night when she was a new player and she had appeared suspicious? Doesn't make sense. It's entirely possible that he used it last night on either Trever or hezy to confirm my results. If I say one of them is guilty, and he checked them, then he'll know I'm Humbug and then he'll have me and FAW and Serpe all in his sights.

I still want to say one of them is guilty today. Not sure which one. I told him I was going to check Trever so if that's actually the case maybe I should say hezy instead.

Anyway let me say this to you guys. I have never been a defeatist at anything. And I really thought we had a very good chance to win this thing until this "new Santa" BS.

But now to be very honest, it's going to take a lot of luck for us to pull this out.

For one we now have this 'new santa' who can pass out gifts and I'm sure after all the post that have been posted and MM9 rants, the likely hood of any of you getting any are slim to none.

Also the 'word' thing now imo is just a waste of time.

In order to win this, at the end I and one of you have to be alive. That's not going to be easy. We are going to have to be very careful and watch what we say.

We have 72 hours and they only have 5 votes so they can't end the round early. So we need to take as much time as we need.

The problem with doing that to soon is Dooku and Trever have not voted yet. If for some reason one of them does not vote, we can cast 4 votes for anyone of them and end the game. Because it would be a 4-4 tie and a No Kill. And we get a night kill.

I would wait until at least one of them votes which would kill our chances and let you vote for FAW and not be the last vote.

Thankfully, my slip-up with Jo seems to have gone unnoticed, although I'm still considered suspicious without any concrete evidence. Go figure. For now Dooku hasn't voted, though I'm sure he'll go for FAW if the Town comes close to a unanimous decision.

Unless my counts off and I don't understand the vote rules, if dooku does not vote and the vote for FAW stands at 4 and we all wait to the last minute and vote for "not voting" then it's a tie and it amounts to a "No Kill' and we can take one of them out to night and if we pick right "game over"

Maybe we can get input on this from Feral.

OK everyone this Day Round ends today at, 3:05PM

I don't know what your plans or access to the site will be, but we all need to be on the site and either vote for No Kill, Not Voting or anyone of them. I voted already for MM9 but can change my vote.

Since all clocks are different I would say to give your self at least 5-10 minutes before the Day round expires. And because the site and the Host live in the eastern time zone, I'm sure this time is EST.

Now if Dooku cast a vote between now and then forget every thing I just posted and we can talk again in the night round which we have to do anyway.
