Oh, yeah, and I'm marking Feral down as 'willing to host.' I'm not sure about the idea of doing a videogame-specific round for our 20th (although in reality the theme shouldn't change the gameplay much), though I'm still open to the possibility. We'll see if anyone above Feral wants to host first.

Well Game 19 will probably take at least that long.

If no one else wants to Host Game 19, then let Feral do his Smash Bang thing and then Yeano if he wants to Host Game 20 can decided what kind of game he wants.

Relax Shaggy, there's no such things as ghosts.

...that does bring up an idea, however; mayhap we should bring the Ghoul back in a future game, maybe as a role in Feral's game. Hell, maybe Game 20 could be a role extravaganza, wherein every single player gets some form of power role.

The Ghoul, if I'm not mistaken, gets to guess someone's role, and if they're right they become that role. Pretty damned useful in case the Cop or Doctor or some other power role is on the Mafia's chopping block -- then they can reveal themselves in the main thread and the Ghoul can then take their role.

A bit like the Apprentice was supposed to be, only with the Apprentice it was automatic -- whichever Town power role died first, the Apprentice took that role.

If nobody uses the Ghoul, maybe I'll use it when I host. I'm kinda looking to resurrect a couple other roles whose potential was never really met due to bad luck or host killing.

Hell, maybe Game 20 could be a role extravaganza, wherein every single player gets some form of power role.

Doing that would screw the Mafia upon a role reveal. It wouldn't take too long to pick them apart. Otherwise I would love the idea. I tried to take a different approach to the give-everyone-powers by giving people temporary powers, but people didn't like it too much and it didn't end well -- the game got reset within four day rounds I think.

Right, but that may have been more that we weren't sure what we were getting into than because the game mechanic was flawed. Which is why if Feral hosts, he needs to make a thread discussing the roles in detail and allowing us to discuss and ask questions as needed so as to work out any bugs ahead of time rather than having to restart the game.

I've re-opened this to give everyone the low-down: Feral's in the hospital and won't be able to start his Smash Bros. game anytime soon. In the interest of getting the game going, I'm just going to take over from here and host this next game myself. I'm hoping to do the game planning tonight/tomorrow and to get the game started sometime tomorrow evening (bear in mind that I'm West Coast so that'll be pretty late for some of y'all).
