The Evervamp

Just wanted to lay out my upcoming plans for the site. There are some things i'm deliberately keeping secret, but a lot of things should be public knowledge.

Staff hirings

This last hiring went better than I thought it would. A lot of very good applications and new (current!) staff members. However the overall complexity (and lack of information) of the new positions was a shortcoming, so there will be more staff hirings in the future.

There will be a mod hiring a week before the revamp (and other secretive plans will go into effect then as well) to make sure everyone is where they want to be. There will also be a Writer staff hiring once i get my notes finalized (hopefully this week!) that details more about the position and its perks. I also have some recruitment strategies that tie into that that i want to roll out *before* the revamp (or right near it).

Server

the new server's happening this week. I can't in good conscience delay it any longer than that. The only thing you guys should notice would be the DNS issue getting fixed so ww.gtx0.com works as it should. No more alestans! (don't think they'll work under the new configuration anyway).

the revamp itself

as i've said elsewhere, i've been working on the revamp pretty regularly for the past couple of months. I'm right at the end of the pre-programming stage (i only have four more things to figure out the coding for). Programming itself should start next week; i'll keep you guys posted on some of that. I've hired L@nce to do some of the graphics so they're actually intuitive. The process overall won't take long (a month is reasonable), and most of the work will be in getting the Javascript to work properly. I think overall you guys will enjoy the new features and improvements to existing features. I've put a lot of work into it already.
