Previously on HOUSE OF MAFIA: [p:68945]

I had been a year since that faithful day that Black Yoshi killed the last mafia on the top of the Clock Tower of Frustroville. The town had grown and prospered.

...And gotten boring.

Fortunately, an old ex-mayor by the name of Count Dooku came back in a limousine with loads of cash he had taken from the town's coffers during his stay.

"Hey man, I heard you died suffocating in your own wealth!" Said Black Yoshi.

"Nah, that was just another clone. They're pretty dispensable," Said Count Dooku as he shot his driver-clone in the head.

"So, I'm off to Vegas, any of you cats want to join me as we gamble off my ill-conceived wealth?"

The town agreed. It was just what they had been looking for. Things were just never the same after Dragon in the Shadow's rotting ass had disintegrated.

So years later, they had met some new friends, some of which curiously had the same name as departed mafia of their old town. They had worked their way into the Vegas underground, and had also acquired a number of bad habits along the way. Some had joined the mafia group that secretly ran Vegas, others were just corrupt and/or down on their luck.

But then one day a [g]Cowboy[/g] convinced them to think different. Convinced them to root out the mafia and make Vegas like their old town. The mafia of course weren't happy about this.

The night after the [g]Cowboy[/g]'s big speech, the gears started turning:

** The [e]Dirty Cop[/e] began his investigations.
** A [r]Newcomer[/r] got initiated into the Mafia.
** Three more people got addicted to drugs.
** And two people got mysterious invitations to a cordial date with one another.

As the day dawned, the people of Frustroville waited to see what would happen next...

** rolling works again
** The User CP > Notifications has a filter for the new mafia game. Granted, OOG isn't allowed, but still.
** There's a bug with any interaction that excludes certain groups of people (first noticed by a drug dealer). This looks like it will be complicated to fix, so I will do so tomorrow.

Please ask questions below if you haven't asked them elsewhere already.

- OOG is [i][u]Not allowed[/u][/i] during this game. If you've already started one, well, no harm done really. Just make sure not to continue.
- Night talk is OFF.
- Day rounds are 48 hours or until 50% of the votes are for the same person (rounded up).
- Night rounds are 24 hours long or until all of the Night actions are in.

- Rounds "end" at 10pm EDT. When the next round starts is variable and depends on how long it takes to update everything (should be an hour or two).

Yes, no kills or not voting count above kills, unless your last action was a vote by itself. It's confusing and definitely need to be changed.

I'm posting here to remind you that dead and non-player accounts should not be able to post or vote.

In the meantime, if you're going to vote for someone this round might as well do it the way we used to do it in the early mafia games by saying which people you're voting for in your post rather than using the drop down below. Spruce it up by adding colour.

Hopefully this thread gets cleaned up later.

And because of LLight randomly doing actions, I'm going to assume the ??? role is responsible for choosing dinner dates, since none of the known roles would fit that. Would account for why he was able to make an action like LLight Chose Xhin for a dinner date and makes a lot more sense than the dinner dates being chosen randomly.

Don't really have any suspicions now I guess. I'm a bit confused about the dirty cop: what exactly do they do? The description said they just give out badges, but do the badges do anything?

well, the first post does say that the date is chosen and doesn't call it random, so that makes sense. Wonder if there might be something else to the position as well.

Dirty Cop sounds to me like a town-sided role you could claim and then "prove" by giving someone a badge (as well as a way for Xhin to test NIFE's item-handling abilities).

also, am I missing something or is there no longer a public vote tally?
