The next mafia game will use NIFE, which is a totally overhauled system for forum games. Changes you guys will notice:

** Sleeker mafia actions
** Special roles have their own "action" area similar to the "Vote for" you guys have now.
** Players can have multiple roles and can carry items.

** A "Memory" area to see all of your previous role's actions and what they returned in one place.
** Owing to the multiple roles/items things, players can have access to more than one thread at once.

!!=red Vegas Mafia?

Vegas Mafia is a new style of mafia that works like the normal game except there are [i]three mini-games[/i] known as "Vices" that run separately from the main game (although can totally influence it).

You should start out with one vice (depending on the number of players and other balance considerations), although you can gain additional vices if you're recruited into them.

=Vices

** Gambler -- Guess on who the next person to be killed is. Gain a point if you're right! (But it might raise suspicion...)

** Drug Dealer -- Compete with other Drug Dealers to get Drug Addicts to buy from you. Better drug concentrations cost more money, but actually make addicts want to buy from you. Bad drug concentrations can make you a lot of money but can make addicts wary.

** Drug Addict -- Every turn, you choose who to buy drugs from and what concentration to get. Better concentrations will give you in-game powers (like double-voting, resistance from kills, the ability to kill bare-handed, etc) for one turn, but bad concentrations will silence you.

** Prostitute -- Every turn you choose who to sleep with. You have a chance of getting one of their items or abilities.

This game will play pretty vanilla (other than the NIFE stuff and the mini-games). The power roles are nerfed a bit, and a member of the mafia may have ulterior motives.

The actual list of roles will depend on the game size, but here's what I have planned:

** [g]Cowboy[/g] -- A vigilante with three [e]guns[/e]. The Cowboy can only kill as many people as they have guns available, but they can kill them at any time (Day or Night or even mid-round), including one after another.

** [g]Dirty Cop[/g] -- This guy isn't actually a cop, he just has a [e]Badge[/e]. He can give this badge to another player, in which case that player becomes the dirty cop. (And yes the badge *can* be given to mafia accidentally!)

** [y]Undercover Prosecutor[/y] -- A [r]Mafioso[/r] who, in addition to winning with the mafia, is tasked with having the mafia kill a specific target. If the mafia kills them, the prosecutor is given another target to kill.

If the prosecutor is killed by accident or for being a mafioso, they gain a point for every target they got killed.

If, however, they are killed by the mafia or by the town (who was convinced by the mafia to kill them), each mafia member gets those points.

** [e]A Dinner Date for Two[/e] -- As per MM9's suggestion, this game will feature a "Dinner Date" between two lovely players each round. They are free to talk it up and maybe grow suspicious of each other.

There's a twist though!

[g]Town[/g]-allied players totally fear for their lives. This is Vegas after all. So every town-sided player is given a [e]gun[/e] for the duration of the date. They can use this to shoot the other player if they feel so inclined.

The mafia are trying to not raise any suspicion, so unlike the town, they do not carry a gun.

The dinner date is not announced to anyone but the actual dinner attendees.

"A Dinner Date for Two" is teh Chef role, yes? This player selects two other players for the dinner date and both players have their role ability negated if they exist, also can't vote if mafia iirc. *checks*

Chooses two people during the day.

Those two people are invited to a banquet for dinner and conversation.

The two people know each other's roles but not each other's identities.

Sided with the village.

Yea I thought it was also role/vote block for some reason. Am I remembering that incorrectly? I must be.
