How to Host
Hosting a game in GTX0 Fun is easy! Please keep in mind the following:
Feel free to make new games that haven't been done before.
If you're making a game that doesn't fit into the normal Play-By-Post format, remember that setting the post limit to 0 means it has no limit.
In order to host, you must have a registered account.
Only one game of each type can be around at once.
You must wait until the results of the last game have been posted before you can host a new game of the same type.
You cannot host the same game type twice in a row, unless 24 hours have passed since you posted the results.
When you get the "Game is done" Notification...
Go to www.gtx0.com/user/fun.php and click your game.
This page will show stats of the game:
How many posts a player has made
Whether that player has "liked" a post or not (note: this also tells you whether they're registered or not since only registered users can "like" posts)
Make sure they're not liking their own posts!
If that player has received any likes, it will show them.
It will also show rulebreaks players have reported about them, and the post id so you can investigate for yourself.
On a game you're hosting you'll be able to see post id's as "Reply #". Very handy for looking up potential rulebreaks.
Now that you've seen the stats, make a Results Post.
Grab the [[ Player Scores ]] from the document or from the last results post.
Use the [[ Points Rubric ]] document to determine how many points each player gets. You are allowed some discretion in addition to the rubric.
In the post, make sure you state everyone's old scores, how many points they get, and their new scores, as well as why they're getting those points. This makes sure that if the [[ Player Scores ]] document goes down there will still be a record.
Don't forget to give yourself +20 points for a hosting job well done!
